Good evening,
Lana - rug?? Does this include an undercover cboy delivering it? You never know.
I had chicken wanton soup at work- the cafe lady makes soup twice a week. She gave me a second helping to have for dinner. I will have it tomorrow as I overslept today after work. She said to tell my boss that her favorite soup is today so I left a message for boss (Dragon). Boss came by during my lunch and wanted 2 servings - she got the last serving and only got one -- the other serving was on my lunch table. See what people get for being demanding and unkind? Only one serving. I had to laugh to myself.
Got 5700 steps. I did not sleep well last night and that was todays total. Will get better sleep today- I hope.

Good Evening all!
I got in 7,300 steps today! Got a friend to go for a walk with me and my dog, because we ALL needed one. It was a great day for it. Then we went to a used furniture store nearby which is HUGE and walked around there to find me a cabinet. Found one but out of my price range....sniff, sniff. But it was more steps walked.
Needless to say, it was a busy day for me, I didn't get to make the meatballs. Tomorrow for SURE! But I got the fresh parmesan cheese and parsley, milk, and eggs for them. I will brown them and cook them with the sauce, then put them away till Friday....they always taste better the next day.
Lana, I never get cute delivery guys....lucky!
Sara, I had to take my anxiety meds last night before bed, but I slept great. I only take them when I really need them. They make me very thirsty.

My nap after work was short, so I had the soup I didnt have last night. More of a chicken/vegetable and no wontons (which is probably for the best anyways).
I am being domestic - I checked no high fever today hahaha- so at least I am nipping away at the things that irritate me at home.

Good morning all~~
Yesterday's dishwasher delivery/install went badly. A rather surly, though nice-looking, install guy came with the new dishwasher (though not CBoy material).
He removed the old one to find an electrical box that would not allow for the install of the new machine. Box was physically in the way. The old machine had a cavity in it for the box to fit in I guess.
So he left me a phone number to call to schedule another install appointment after I have taken care of the problem, presumably with a handyman.
The new machine is sitting smack dab in the middle of my kitchen.
I went to Lowes, bought some tools, and took care of the problem myself. I called for a new appointment, but have not heard back from them. Gah.

Lana points for you for fixing the issue. That guy was about as helpful as cement boots. Keep calling until you get that apt.
Our Dept meeting went well, except manager had to tell us that if we do not do well the next 3 months we will not be considered for a bonus. Hard enough to live on what we make, so I offered the ladies in my dept (one man is out of office today) - to make cookies if we get to business and get the chance at bonuses. I know that I could be baking up a storm, but I needed to offer something to make them want to work better.
Tomorrow is Friday and that makes me happy.

Good afternoon!
Made my meatballs yesterday...will be having spaghetti and meatballs with a friend tonight.
My ex...sometimes I have to scratch my head. He invites me to Easter dinner (my daughter will be there) and asks if I could make something. I ask him what and he says how about the Impossible Cheesecake I always used to make, so I agreed. He bought me some of the ingredients (I already had the rest) and dropped them off. Then he asks if I could use a rump roast...seems his sister, who lives with him, bought one and he bought one and he doesn't need 2, so I say ok, and he drops that off (why he couldn't just put it in his freezer, I have no idea). Then this morning he says he has some groceries for me and drops off a bag. In it is a box of Bisquick, 2 packs of cream cheese, a bottle of vanilla and 2 square disposable aluminum cake pans. He tells me to use it to make a cheesecake for myself. I mean, I appreciate the gesture, but I am diabetic, not to mention I know I won't use the Bisquick because I have plenty and I won't use the cake pans either. I will keep the vanilla and the cream cheese. TBH, I know he thinks he is being generous, but I could use the MONEY more than the odd baking item. And I could go into how he has it all and I have been one step from the streets since my divorce, but that's a WHOLE other story that I try to forget.

I bought 3 units of cookies last night. Note to self do NOT order food to be delivered the next day if it is after 10pm.

Sara - I haven't gotten any candy. I did look, but the prices were too much for what you get, so for now, I will stick with my bag of chocolate chips from the baking aisle. 😁

Sara - your mention of knitting at the hair salon has me looking around online to find a good old-fashioned hair salon near me.... I'm weary of going to the Aveda beauty school. Prices are super cheap, but you get what you pay for, and the talent is hit or mostly miss.
I am hoping that the sun comes out today. Too much rain lately.

It was warm and sunny and while I am not a sun bunny- I appreciated the warmth after weeks of rain.
Lana it may be worth it to find someone who charges a little more than the beauty school - ask if they wash your hair? Some people charge less if they dont wash hair (wash it before you go). Also dont wait months to go each time as you will lose the "haircut" lines. If you didnt like it that is another story. Consistency is nice.
Very few places open because of Easter which I have no problems with except it is one of my days off.... So I ended up at a Dollar Tree ($1.25) and I got gift boxes and bags for my special pal at church so I am not winging it all the time.
Slept too much today so we shall see if I sleep tonight.

Had another financial setback yesterday. I am trying to take it all in stride. Some things you can control...others not to so much. All I can do is keep moving forward until some thing shoves me back. Hoping that doesn't happen.
Went through a bunch of papers today....I hate mail. It piles up and piles up until you have to either file, shred or toss. But I did get rid of some stuff in the pile. And I found some stuff I need to keep an eye on....lab work scripts that need to be done later this month.

Lana -this is the wealth of info I get from knitting at my hairdressers. Most people dont stick around beyond their haircut - I know I didnt.
Long day but only 4 more days until 3 weeks of supervisor freedom.

Very sad news I had the work calendar wrong I have to wait an extra week for Dragon to go on her "bucket list" vacation. One day at a time....
Dont you just love how you have to wait all day for something that takes them 20 minutes and they act like you are wasting their time? Gosh I hope they are good looking at least.
So sugared out - feels like day after Halloween.
I got 6k today, so that is a nice something of a balance (not quite but better than no steps)

Well, here we are at the middle of the work week.....
Sara - even if you have to wait another week, it will be a blissful 3 weeks when it comes.
The same surly-serious dude came to install the dishwasher. The dishwasher itself is gorgeous, but It looks ridiculous in its place: it sticks out from the counter and cabinets, an it is tilting backwards a bit.
Dude says he did the best he could, but blamed how the wiring is in back.
I figure someday I'll have my plumber look at it and see what he'd charge to pull it out, re-assess the situation and try to put it in better.
As for today, I have to get to the airport. I'm going up north for a week to work on that *kitten* apartment.....

Weather nice, wind not - pollen all over the place.
If I didnt have a hair apt on Saturday I would be cutting my own hair- I will be asking for something with less bangs.
Lana - you get those airport steps in. I got my 5k in today. So you just keep on stepping and get that "kitten" place cleaned up - one bag/box at a time.
I am grumpy and so I am keeping to myself. Neighbors 4 year old had his bubble machine out and I would have played with him except I needed a nap more. Maybe next time!!

AAAHHH the feeling of no alarm clock for 2 days.
Closed my eyes after the first alarm went off after work, knew if I did not get up I would be asleep again - I only have to close my eyes. Why I cant do that at 2am? Shaking my head.
If I play my cards right this weekend, I will have leftovers in the freezer again for meals.

Tell ya allergy season has been the worst in years. Actually having to take my allergy pill twice a day instead of as needed. Moms surgery is this Friday. First class went great. Got an A!! New job is going great as well. So much more peaceful and less stressful. Coworkers are great.
Weather is gorgeous out. Started spring cleaning. Have so many goals just need more time in the day. Lol 😂

My project today was to go through my sock drawer and toss any pair where there was a hole in one sock. Quite a few hit the garbage bin. I did order a couple to replace them, but still more out than bought.
Second project this weekend is to make meals and freeze them. Pepperoni pizza is in freezer and tomorrow hope to make more meals.

I have not been eating well on this trip; my lower digestive tract told me so yesterday, hence the lower number on the scale. I will drink plenty of water to get rehydrated.

Morning y'all - its day 1 for the 100th time. Ugh...
But that's ok. I have a support system at work. I've already made a few life style changes over the past few weeks as far as cutting back on alcohol & didn't even realize it.
I've got my lunch & snacks packed & in the work fridge. Brought enough for a few days so I don't have to worry about packing each day, its already here.
I can do this. I will do this. Just focus on the small number not the overall.2
