Well I survived the retreat. It was good, a good accomplishment for me bc I was nervous about it. I meditate every day but I find it a challenge. The only thing is I struggle with insomnia, so I didn't really sleep at night. But one night is not a big deal.

Still planning my trip to GC. I met a woman who also wants to go in Sept so we are considering going together. If I have a driving buddy then we will probably rent a car and tour around ourselves. If I end up going alone I will probably book with a hiking company.

--I'm not a fan of TV on the wall either, but I like having an bookshelf/entertainment unit. I actually need to buy a new one myself, bc I just have a cheap little table I bought years ago and then never replaced.

@trooworld, at least the canyon hikes occur often from the sound of it so you can go another time. It's better to wait until you can really enjoy it and not struggle physically. You've definitely done a lot the last couple weeks. Maybe you can go with your friend to the coffee place.

@theslightedgeforever ah I see. Nice you got a chance to stop and check out some of the sights in DC. That's nice for your daughter except I think Minnesota is colder than here in the winter I think lol. It's funny everyone has the stereotype Canada is so cold but some of the States get colder than we do- at least in Toronto, which is pretty mild.

Our summer is turning out to be rainy and cool so I'm kind of bummed about that.

@TrishasTime I haven't seen my hiking pal again. He's in the hiking club that I'm in and I just haven't had time for any hikes and/or the distances were too long. I've been thinking alot about though, and I think I would prefer to be friends for now.

That sucks about your cleaner! Man you are due for a looong string of good luck. It's just been one thing after another.

Today I'm taking it easy, tomorrow I'm going in to the office. I have to get my passport renewed so I will do it while I'm downtown. New picture and all- I hate those pictures!

@its_cleo, good to hear that you enjoyed your retreat. I don’t know if I could do that. I tried to meditate once and was so bored and my mind kept wandering. I’m always having to apologize to God when I’m praying unless I’m praying out loud. :D

@TrishasTime, yes, I do know that I could attend more than one WW meeting a week. But I do not want to get up early two days in a row. :D

@trooworld, bummer you couldn’t go on the hike, but it sounds like you made the right decision if your knees are hurting. I’m sure they will do it again and you will get to go. <3

@theslightedgeforever, I love a good museum!! You are quite the traveler, aren’t you? When do you come back home? :)

My baby shower yesterday was great fun, and everyone had such a good time! I had 15 ladies and one tiny infant in attendance. I was so exhausted afterward that I could barely move and ended up going to be before 9 pm. I’m still drained today, and I had to teach children’s church. The rest of the day is going to be spent making a shopping list for next week and then planting myself on the couch and binging some Master Chef. :D I ate wayyy to much sugar and drank too much punch yesterday too. I’ve decided that for the rest of June I am going to refrain from all refined sugary foods and as many refined carbs as I can. I really want to see if I can jump start my weight loss some more. Especially since half the year is gone. Yikes!! :#

It is Foundation day (Western Australia Day) here. Therefore it is a public holiday for most. Today we pack the caravan (RV, travel trailer). We move up to a farm tomorrow, where water is precious, so no long showers as we only have a certain amount of water on board. Good thing is that we are about 20 min from town, so I can always go to buy bottled water for drinking. Filling 270-litre tank that we use the showers and toilet is not an option.

@theslightedgeforever - The holocaust museum - what was that like? I can truly imagine how your feet felt. Hope all goes well with the packing

@gemwolf110 - Good luck in selling your goods :) I hope this year is much better

@trooworld - If your knees are still hurting, I think you made a wise decision. TV on the wall - I am with your DH - I would hate to see the cords.

@teresaw1020 - I am so glad you had a wonderful baby shower and that everyone enjoyed themselves

Its_cleo - I am glad you survived :) But.. did you get out of it what you wanted - was it to learn to meditate more deeply/ I have just started meditating and my mind wanders everywhere and I am trying to keep pulling it back

    Take care

@trooworld That's good that you listened to your body. Later there will be other hikes out there to enjoy.

@its_cleo Your GC plans sound like they are coming together. My dd just took the pics for her passport renewal. I think the pics are a bit blurry and the the background needs to be whiter but it was done at a place where they do them all the time. Hopefully they won't send the passport back saying we need to do it again. I don't think there's a refund. Yes MN is cold. When I was about 13, I went up to Duluth MN with my dad in wintertime. I remember how cold I was and I grew up in the snow. This was something else though. She did her undergrad in Northern Iowa only about 1 1/2 hours from where she will be living so she's used to the cold.

@teresaw1020 You made me laugh out loud about apologizing to God. It's so easy for the mind to wander. But I guess that's the whole point of prayer, meditation, whatever is mindfulness. Be in the moment. I still need to visit my son after moving dd. So I'll be going home around end of June. They say I come and invade their space in the spring/summer and then they come invade mine for Christmas. I think I shared before on this thread a long time ago about the WW twins I watch on YouTube. I was watching their newest video yesterday and they just got back from a 2 week vacation in Portugal where they wined and dined alot. They've been back 2 weeks I think and they decided to really hit the Freestyle program and make almost all of their food the FREE part of freestyle. Then slowly add back in stuff. I know they said they wanted to keep dairy and their protein shakes but I think they are doing alot of fruits veggies and lean meats right now to jumpstart their weight loss. They've done quite well I think on it since they returned. They are just trying to get back in control.

@gemwolf110 Happy Birthday in advance if I don't happen to post it on the correct day. I'll be heading out on the road in a couple of days. I hope this next year will be a really good one for you to make some progress on life goals you have set for yourself. Sometimes what turns out to be a bad thing is really an open window/door for something even greater.

@trishastime Happy Foundation Day. The Holocaust museum was very emotional. I spent 2 days kind of being angry how some people can treat others like that just because they were different. I went to the Native American museum, African American Museum, and then the Holocaust. They have things to cover the cords on the wall. You can paint them also to match the paint color. I hate dust and clutter. If there is a flat surface, my dh is sure to find it and put stuff on it.

I think I'm rested up enough. I will resume my exercise tomorrow.

Today we set off to be away for a week. I have been told we will have internet, so I am good with that.

@trooworld - I am glad you did not do the hike, you need to get yourself well (as you can) Living in such a nice spot, you can go on a hike whenever you feel better. Are you completely out of the old unit? keys handed over etc?
People are recommending this link on youtube for plantar fasciitis. Maybe worth a view
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gXdlPuKfyXs

@theslightedgeforever - We have a holocaust museum here, but it is only open on certain days when they have a school booking. I am thinking of asking when they will be open in September as I have time away from work. It is something I have always wanted to see.

@trooworld Good for you for going on that walk. That's a good walk because you can rest and then walk back and you get in 46 min of exercise versus doing it all at once. I think I would love the ambience of that little coffee shop.

@trishastime Did Australia participate in WW2? At the end of the tour there was a place where you could sit and watch short interviews of people who were rescued. I think the most moving thing I saw was all the shoes. I took a pic of it and I'll see if I can upload it. Enjoy your little holiday and make good choices. I need to get back to my good tracking. I've been hit and miss since I've been on vacation.

    Just a bit of info:

Cbabie fell at church and broke her wrist in several places. She was supposed to call the ortho surgeon and see if she needs surgery on it or not. But I haven't heard back yet on that. So let's send prayers and good vibes to her.

The scale finally went upwards a bit over my starting weight when I arrived, so I need to pull back just a bit. My goal is to have soup or salad for lunch while I'm on the road. I'll try to check in from the hotels.

@theslightedgeforever, wow that picture of the shoes is incredible!! Breaks my heart to look at it. I've never been to the Holocaust museum but can see how it would be incredibly moving. We must never forget that evil of that kind does still exist. :'(

@trooworld, that is great that you barely gained any weight after all the stress you have been under with the move. I'm still on the fence with Keto. I am going no sugar this month and trying to keep what carbs I do eat to veggies, limited fruit, and some whole grains. Yes, to having your doctor noticed weight loss and not weight gain! That is what I'm hoping for too the next time I go see my doctor. :)

Well, I lost .8 lbs this week which is good considering what I ate at the baby shower. >:) I went to my Tuesday WW meeting and said good-bye to my leader. I will miss her! I asked her what leader she would choose if she was me and she said that the Wednesday leader is more knowledgeable and has more energy. That is what I thought too when I went last week. So, I will miss some of the ladies that I've gotten to know but I think Wednesday will work out better for my schedule. If nothing else it will give me an extra day to recover from whatever damage I do on the weekend. B)

@TeresaW1020 Great that you’ve settled on a day for WW. I’m sure you’ll get to know the people there. Also a .8lb weight loss is great! I can’t do it lol.

@trooworld congrats on being formally out of the old place. I’m sure it feels good. I can’t believe how fast all of that happened

@theslightedgeforever that picture- wow. I don’t think I could go to that museum. I would just find it too upsetting, but I know it’s important to remember.

@TrishasTime- the retreat, yeah it helped me. I meditate every day but I’ve been struggling with just getting lost in my thoughts. So I got some ideas on how to change things up a little bit. A lot of people the mind wanders, it’s natural. The meditation style I do is like- focus on your breathe, and if your mind wanders then as soon as you notice, just bring it back to the breath. Part of it is learning how your mind constantly distracts you from just being in the present moment. And gradually build up the tolerance for that. It’s hard, but it helps me in different ways.
Things are ok here. I haven’t had much time to exercise this week. But I see trainer today, though I really just feel like flaking out and watching tv lol.

Poor @cbabie- if you read this I’m sending you healing vibes. Take gentle care.

    @gemwolf happy birthday in advance!

@trooworld That was a great weigh in. You seem to be internalizing good health habits. I was at a little bookworm café today too. We were taking a break from loading the truck. I can really tell I've lost my strength. Good thing for me to work on. I usually go in February or March and this year the dr noticed I had lost some weight. Feels so good. Now to lose even more.

@teresaw1020 Yaaay for your weight loss. Any plan works as long as you work the plan. So try this new plan for a while and see how you like it.

@gemwolf110 Yes, being positive carries us far. I just read your bday is coming up. Have a good one.

@its_cleo I think being "in the moment" is good for us but so hard at the same time. We don't want to feel feelings or think thoughts sometimes, that's why distractions are always easy.

I'll send cbabie your messages. She might be reading them but just can't respond.
Dh and I walked about 20 minutes this morning to go pick up the UHaul truck. It was actually a bit chilly. Then we walked about 10 min over to my dd's university to go to the bookstore so I could pick up a Tshirt. It says Proud parent of EVMS graduate. :#

I'll be on the road tomorrow for 3 days so I'll check in when I can. You may see me everyday or you may not.

Really really windy here. I am not having much fun at all. Overate yesterday but back in track today.

@theslightedgeforever - yes we did participate in WW2. The shoes are quite stark are they not. In the display here - they had suitcases.

@teresaw2010 - nice loss :) glad you settled on a meeting

@cbabie - sending prayers your way. Let us know how you go

@trooworld - and now you have left the other unit behind - your new story has begun. I am so pleased for you

@its_cleo - I am sure you will get back to exercising soon

    Take care

@trooworld I was in VA about 3 hours from DC packing up my daughter when you asked me that question but now I'm currently near Pittsburg PA. That's good you found some shoes that give you support. Yes, time is flying by. Let's all look at where we started the year to where we are now. How much progress have we made.

@trishastime Suitcases would be interesting. Are you enjoying your break? Duh, I just read you weren't. I'm sorry. Breaks are meant to be fun. Good job for getting right back on plan.

I made good choices today at the restaurant. My weight is up about a bit from when I arrived so I'm trying to enjoy but yet pull it back a bit so I can keep maintaining like I was the first 2 weeks I was here. I ordered a fruit plate and it had about 3/4 c of chicken salad in the middle. But then I ate 2 rolls. lol I love Bob Evans rolls. I countered that with no dinner because I had some snacks in the afternoon. Balance.

    Good morning!

@theslightedgeforever, I am sorry that I missed the post about cbabie!! How is she? Good job on balancing your eating while on vacation. You are seriously impressing me with your choices. You must be feeling pretty proud of yourself. You should be!! B)

@cbabie, I am so very sorry that you are so hurt! You are in my prayers for a quick and easy healing. <3<3

@TrishasTime, well I hope the wind dies down and you can have some fun! Good for you for getting back on track! <3

@Trooworld, 175 days until Thanksgiving! Last year I was working towards being able to wear this cute shirt that I own and have never gotten into it. I didn’t get into that shirt but maybe this year I can make it happen. ;) Yikes, that is a lot of things to put together! Slap a screwdriver in that hubby’s hand of yours and tell him to get to work. :D

Sorry I’ve been out of touch the last few days. Work has kept me busy and yesterday we had one of our all-day-staff meetings to discuss issues in our church. We have lots of changes going on and our hearts are seriously burdened for our small church and it's people. We want a strong and healthy church and working towards that is challenging. But it was a good meeting and as usual after one of our meetings I have a lot more work to do this summer than I did going into the meeting. But it’s all good!! :)

I was happy that yesterday, I didn’t pig out like I so often do at these meetings because I buy them all a bunch of junk food and we always eat out for lunch. I only ate 5 of pastor’s peanut M & M’s and then told him to move them away from me. Happily, my weight didn’t budge and I’m hoping that being very good today will get me losing again by tomorrow.

@trooworld Yeah the assembly part is the worst I think. I've learned to put together IKEA bookshelves in no time flat. Of course if I waited around for the rest of my household to do it, it wouldn't get done. I think I trained dh if he just waits long enough...…. Good for you for the progress that you have shown this year.

@teresaw1020 That's great you didn't overeat at the meeting and 5 MnMs showed good impulse control.

The second leg of our journey to MN is finished and we're currently in Chicago area. Riding in a truck shouldn't be this tiring. I wish I was like Samantha on Bewitched and just pop from one place to another. Anyone remember that show? The good news is that I can get fitbit steps just by bouncing around in a truck. lol Doesn't do a thing for my waistline though.

@trooworld That sauce looks good. I wonder how it would be with baby carrots?

Finally made it to MN and we'll be here for 3 days to look around and see the best place for my dd to get an apartment. Truck is unloaded and everything in storage.

I'm going to find me some good walking trails around here.

@trooworld, that sauce looks good!! Can you believe that I don't own a blender or a food processor? Really need to put that on my Christmas list!! I would make that sauce for sure and eat it with yummy raw veggies. Of course, if I make it for one of my church events I might need to change the name from Bitchin Sauce to something like Heavenly Sauce. o:):D

@theslightedgeforever, I hope your daughter finds the perfect apartment! You must be exhausted from all that traveling and moving stuff into storage but yet you are talking about finding walking trails. You are a rockstar!! B)

I think I overdid my workouts the last couple of days because my body and especially my legs are aching this morning. I'm taking the day off from the treadmill but we have to go out and buy a new coffee maker today, so I will at least get in some steps. The stupid thing decided to die this morning! :s Thankfully we have Starbucks instant VIA to tied us over. I've been wanting to get hubby out to look at some new pans so this will be a good excuse to show him what I want. I really want a cast iron grill pan and a wok! :p

@trooworld so sorry about your little pup. It's so upsetting when something is wrong with them. I hope the vet can figure it out. How old is he?

@theslightedgeforever glad your journey is making progress. I'm sure walking on some trails will feel good after jostling around in a truck!

@TeresaW1020 hope your legs feel better! It is always a tough balance between exercising and juding when our body needs to rest. Gentle walking is always good for recovery though, so maybe your shopping trip will be just the thing.

I've been MIA, just busy. Last week I applied for a management job I'm not sure I want, but I applied anyway.

And....tomorrow I'm going to the Raptors/GSW NBA Finals Game 5! For anyone not following basketball this is the championship series. I've been watching on tv and I just very spontaneously decided to buy a ticket for tomorrow even though it was insanely expensive. So- I will not be going to the Grand Canyon this year lol.

I'm super excited, but also nervous because there will be a bazillion people downtown, the whole city is in on it. There were actually people last night lining up already to get into the free outdoor fan area. And the game is Monday so they will be in line for like 2 days. If you want to see some scenes from the other games just Google Toronto Jurassic Park.

So I'm excited but hoping I don't get walked on by eleventy thousand people, and hoping it is just a peaceful, happy event.

The job and the game has me a bit strung out so I haven't been sleeping well, and also haven't been exercising much, as I said before. Hoping to get back to routine next week.

Food- eh, this week is not going to be very good, but I'm doing my best. Was out yesterday at a baseball game and had lunch out, plus a beer, couple of drinks tomorrow, then Friday night going out with friends. So I'm tracking but I'm not getting too fussed with it.

    Take care all

Hello all, I haven't posted in quite a while & rarely as well, though I do read the posts & would like to post. I really need to be part of a group. I shared before that I gained 10 lbs after I quit smoking & it's been very hard not to snack after dinner also haven't been exercising like I used to but I've been working on my thinking for a while about it & felt ready to get back to it. It would help me a lot if I can share at the end of the day if I stayed within my calories-I have no one around me to share with who can relate or cares(not in a bad way, it's just not as important to them as it is to me) I did good yesterday finally & so far it's good today. Am going to the gym soon. Summer has started last week so it's 100+ degrees. Fortunately there's a really nice year round pool at the gym I go to which is 3 blocks away so I have no excuse not to go. My whole life changed last summer & a couple times this year too & am finally settling down & getting into a routine, I know...change is slow for me to adapt to. It took me 1 1/2 years to lose 50lbs & I maintained for over a year then life happened & it's very upsetting to have gained this weight & I never want to gain it all back so I must be disciplined & work on it & never go back.

I am back and I have skimmed through the messages, so I am kinda up to date. We went into the country and there were 100Km winds with a horrible chill factor. The rain just pounded down. The wind rocked the caravan (RV) badly. I could not get warm, no matter how many layers I wore. We were away as DH had one of our puppies in a competition. Unfortunately, his club was running the competition, so I was the person who fed and watered the judges every 2hours and the people at the let outgate (the let out gate is where the sheep go in and out). DH has come home with body chills and a high temp and I am not feeling particularly well either.

@theslightedgeforever _ How is @cbabie? Did she end up with surgery? Have you got to your daughter's new abode yet or are you still travelling?

@trooworld - sauce looks good, I had to google where I could find the Braggs Aminos as it is not in the supermarket. It seems it is a health shop item over here. I was wondering if I used soy sauce instead.

@TeresaW1020 - No coffee machine ??? I would personally be devastated. DH would say boil the kettle and use instant :)

@its_cleo - Hope your team wins after buying a ticket and missing out on the grand canyon.

@evamutt - Welcome back, hope you post more regularly and we do understand/support each other on our journeys

    Take care everyone

@theslightedgeforever ...Rochester is a very vice city..my sister lived there for about 15 or so years, so I have visited it quite a few times. My Mom was also there in assisted living for a few years & my sister-in-law had open heart surgery at Mayo in Feb.

@teresaw1020 I'm talking about finding walking trails because of all the junk in between meals I"m currently eating and then all the restaurants. I'll be glad to get to my son's house so I can at least eat at home. I found a walking trail but didn't go. I think my body hit the wall today. Exhaustion. So I've planned it for tomorrow. Plus I'm not sleeping well with dh in a tiny bed. I also found a little lake that has paddle boats or I can rent a bike. That's on the schedule for Tuesday. But it's cold here, well for me. Dd says it's called getting older. It was 55 today. I like it to be around 75-80s.

@trooworld I have an aversion to celery. A childhood thing. When you eat it there's a little squirt of celery juice in your mouth. Blech! lol I like it cooked though added to beef or chicken. Yeah, I don't think I could live without my food processor. I'm too lazy to chop everything up. I hope your doggy gets better soon.

@its_cleo The basketball game sounds fun. Sometimes things are worth it. I'm one of those people who would stand in line for hours to see something. I checked out the pics. Looks crazy but I bet the energy there is amazing. So get this week behind you and move on to better choices.

@evamutt Welcome back to the group. Sometimes we are just at the contemplating stage and then we are ready to move on to the execution stage. I think you're there. I seem to go back and forth between the two. But I'm getting better at the execution part more consistently. I'm trying to follow my own food rules. Exercise is a bit harder for me now than it used to be. I need to figure out why. Change is slow for me too. I'm right there with you.

@trishastime Cbabie is hanging in there. She's talked to the ortho surgeon but they haven't done surgery yet as far as I know. We're in a hotel right now. We're going to look at apartments tomorrow. She doesn't start work til end of August. I love this town. It's like where the kids went to college but slightly bigger. Traffic is so much slower here.

@theslightedgeforever - it is a warm 56F today (well compared to last week - it is WARM). I imagine eating out gets a bit tiring after a while (as well as expensive). it is good to know when your body has hit a wall and you do not push it. I hope you are feeling better tomorrow

@trooworld - Fingers crossed for your puppy. What are you going to do about the entertainment unit - get a different one? Can you send the one you bought back for a refund?

Speaking of "Old" - my ankle still gives me the whoops - still taking over the counter pain killers so I can tolerate the throbbing. The everything takes longer because you are older sucks!!

    Take care

@trooworld along with a celery squirt, I have a tomato squirt problem. I'll those cooked too. Just not raw. Yaaay on getting your stuff put together, but sorry about the entertainment center. Have you been tracking your food? I need to get back to that.

@TrishasTime I did feel a bit better today and did some outdoor exercise. Ouch on the ankle.

I went to a lake today and my dd and I did 30 min on paddle boats. That was so hard. My legs were screaming. My legs are too short. When I scrunched down a bit, it became easier. Then we took a 50 min walk around the lake on one of the trails. So I got in some good exercise finally.

Tomorrow I'm headed to IA to see my son.

good morning, thank you for the welcome. I did real good at a low deficit for 2 days then last night I ate at maintenance. Today I'm ready for the deficit. I went swimming last night at the gym & was SO craving something cold, I made a smoothie. It was so good. Something I can't understand is, when I was at 148, my maintenance calories were 1777, which I did for over a year, now that I'm heavier, I gain with that. mfp wants me at 1210 for 1 lb/wk & 1500 for 1/2 lb/wk. Before, I kept losing at 1500
Summer has started 100+ temps, ugh. I'm on the west coast

@its_cleo, dang girl you must really love basketball to give up a trip to the Grand Canyon! I hope they won? :D What about the job? Is it a place you already work? I've applied and gotten management jobs in the past so I know what you mean about not sure if you want it. sometimes the money isn't worth the headaches. Good luck! <3

@Evamutt, welcome! How long has it been since you were in maintenance? MFP will take your age into account. Also, you would get more calories for maintenance than for weight loss. I know that it can all be very frustrating. :/

@trooworld, how was the Thai food? What did you get? :D We are warming up here too. What I’ve found since doing IF is that I’m always cold, so I actually like going outside. Today, I just went and stood in the sun for about 5 minutes. Bummer about the entertainment center. Are you going to be able to return it?

@theslightedgeforever, I hope you have a great time with your son! Did your daughter find the perfect apartment? Did I miss you saying that?

@TrishasTime, bummer about your ankle! Is it hurting more now that your weather is getting cooler? <3

I spent a great deal of time the last two days watching videos from The Sugar Summit that I found on one of my Facebook groups. Very interesting people and have me really thinking about how much junk I’ve put into my body over the years and praising God that I’m not sick with diabetes or some other health issue. I don’t want to be either and that is why getting healthy and losing this weight is so important! So, I’ve spent a good part of my day meal planning and along with my IF I will start low carb. I’m not going full Keto unless I have to. I plan to keep at it for at least two or three months and see what happens. I figure it can’t hurt and I just might drop a pound or two. :D I’ve changed my WW meeting to Wednesday so fingers are crossed that the scale will be nice to me.

    GM everyone

@Teresaw1020 - Would you mind sharing the link for the sugar summit? I think it would be an interesting watch. How did the coffee machine purchase go? It does indeed seem to be hurting more now the weather is cooler.

@RetiredAndLovingIt - Where is IA - I am in Aus.

@evamutt - I hate the difference between maintenance and losing calories too.

@trooworld - Diabetes :( Are you the one going to give the shots? I am glad that they will send the replacement parts.

@theslightedgeforver - paddle boat - geez that brought up memories :) Travel safely when heading off to your son.

it is bitterly cold here. DH came down with man flu (no it is really a bad dose of flu), despite been given the annual flu shot. I am just grateful that he had the flu shot or it could be much worse. The A/V has been running 24/7 here. Once he gets cold - the hacking cough starts

    Off to work I go

@teresaw1020 A decision hasn't been made on the apt yet. We saw 3 more today. Now she just has to make a decision. She won't move in til Aug and just live with her brother. I'm just glad not to have to look at apts anymore. Some of them were really nice. Heck, I'd like to live there. I liked all the fitness rooms they had. One had a separate room with a TV on it and a Fitness on demand system where you can just put on any workout program you want. Then there was a yoga pilates room. Now having said all this, I have a home gym. I wonder why they interested me more than my own. lol

@trishasTime I tell you that paddleboat was hard. I'm glad I didn't rent it for an hour. It seemed to be easier when I was a kid but maybe I didn't do anything and just let my sister or father do all the work. I'll have to ask her. Man flu. SIGH.

@Evamutt, on the calories, were you very active back then? Maybe you had a really high metabolism. I used to be able to lose about 1521 last year but now since I've lost a bit of weight I'm down to about 1350. Just track everything and see what your numbers are and go from there and experiment with it. One thing too is I was a lot more active than I am now. So I'm trying to get back to that.

@RetiredAndLovingIt He lives close to Des Moines in Johnston. All my kids went to UNI in Cedar Falls.

Tomorrow I will unpack the scale and figure out how much I've gained on my little excursion to MN. I hate not being able to weigh everyday. I did nothing but sit in a truck for 3 days. plus eating out at restaurants for at least 7 days. My plan is to go to the store and buy some healthy food so I can start eating here at the apt for the next two weeks.
