    Happy Tuesday All!

After yesterday’s manic Monday and today I’m looking forward to the weekend already. Craziness.

    @IWillCommit42Days4Change Welcome to the group!

@trooworld Boundaries: my carbs, but I also watch my calories and keep them reasonably close to their daily goal. Today I added my cheez its to my lunch and made it a part of that instead of just keeping it a snack like I usually do. I had counted out 25 and was satisfied with that along with my sandwich. Otherwise I could just keep going back for more. I did get 50% water so far. Which is progress. It will be fun to watch the total improvement score go up.

@teresaw1020 Today's book lesson was really good and it is going along with the podcast I listened to today. It's about knowing when to start and when to stop. Using the hunger and full scale. setting out your intention of where you want to be on the fullness scale when you finish eating. Create a speed bump. Once you have the amount of food you think you’ll need, physically divide it in half on your plate to remind yourself to stop halfway and check in again. Anyway, that's all the things I'm working on. Today I chose a 1/2 bagel where in the past I would have felt deprived because it's not a WHOLE bagel. The half bagel filled me up and I have half the carbs/cals I normally would have had.

@gemwolf110 I keep thinking it's later in the week that it really is. Yesterday I was like it's only Monday? So what good healthy decisions have you made today?

When you realize you’ve eaten too much, ask yourself, “Why did it happen?”

Here are some other questions to ask to help you determine why you overate.

•Why was I eating in the first place?

Was I in an Instinctive, a Restrictive, or an Overeating Cycle? •

When did I get the urge to eat?

    What was I thinking?

    What was I feeling?

    What else was going on?

@TeresaW1020 Yes it should. Today I feel better. Yesterday I had a headache for a different reason, although not as bad as a migraine. Yeah it sucks to be a good cook lol!

@gemwolf110 Thank you, it is now! I'm looking forward to the weekend, too. I'm glad your foot was good for Zumba. Your HelloFresh meal does look good! How did it taste?

@theslightedgeforever That's great you got 50% water by the time you wrote this. And yes, it will be fun to watch my strength score go up. The machine automatically ups your weights when it can tell you are ready for it.

Hello all. Well, I wasn't here yesterday because we ended up having to put our beloved pug to sleep. He had acute pancreatitis and was suffering. It was very hard but it was the right decision. Needless to say, I didn't do well yesterday, I stress-baked some Amish Cinnamon Bread and had a piece of that. The night before, after we got back from the animal urgent care, we ordered pizza. But today is a new day, I am going to use the Tonal this morning and get off on the right foot.

@theslightedgeforever I like the idea of creating a speed bump and checking in to see if I am full yet. I do fairly well at lunch, although I sometimes overeat there as well, dinner is the main culprit. Cutting the meal in half on our plate is a great idea as are those great questions. I’m printing those out! A podcast I was listening to talked about how we have trained our bodies to feel a certain level of fullness and we will keep eating to that fullness until we retrain ourselves to a new fullness level. I really need to work on that as well. :/

@gemwolf110 That pork cottage pie looks so tasty! I make something like it but use mashed cauliflower instead of potatoes. :)

@trooworld (((((hugs))))) I am so sorry that you had to say goodbye to your baby! I know he has been suffering for a long while now and that you made the right decision, but your heart is broken so be gentle with yourself. Try to let your Tonal help you by getting out your emotions through a good hard workout and not turn to food. <3

Good morning! We have had two days of almost consistent rain and I’m ready for it to stop! I have a dental cleaning this morning and then I want to run to Kohls to look for a pair of black Ponte pants to replace the ones that have gotten too big on me. I also need a rain jacket since I just donated mine. Great timing! I’m off to lift some heavy weights and get on with my day. :)

Afternoon all, I just lost my long post and don't have time to re do.. :(. Just sorry for being MIA...the beginning of the week just is so crazy for me....especially with DH not here...Baby girl keeps me quite busy. LOL

@trooworld I am so sorry about your pugs. HUGGGGGGGSSS.....Glad you like your Tonal...sorry about the migraine. I hate those things.

@TeresaW1020 Love decluttering..I just don't do it enough. I like to wear the same old things all the time..

    @gemwolf110 That dinner looked great.

@IWillCommit42Days4Change Welcome!!! I used to do those boards. I didn't like the app ones..I think that's about the time I dropped WW.

@gemwolf110 Your food looks good. I hope you enjoyed it. Yaaay on the Zumba How's your foot?

@trooworld That's good the the machine automatically ups your weights. Oh so sorry about your pug. It's hard to lose a family member. If you get the urge to stress eat again, come here and tell us some of your favorite memories. What was his name?

@teresaw1020 Here are more questions from today's lesson.

Am I able to identify hunger? Was I hungry? How hungry was I?

•If I was hungry, was I too hungry? If I wasn’t hungry, what was the physical, environmental, or emotional trigger?

•What did I choose to eat and why? Did that affect how much I ate?

•How did I eat? Was I mindful or was I distracted?

•Did I set an intention for how full I wanted be when I was done eating?

•How much food did I have in front of me?

•What was I thinking about when I decided to continue to eat past the point of satisfaction? Most important, ask yourself, “What could I do differently next time?”

It rained the first week I was here in Houston and finally we are getting some sunshine. I've been able to go out and walk the past 2 days.

@cbabie Are you finding some time to exercise? Maybe look up some Mommy and Me youtube videos so baby girl can move around with you. Take her to the park and kick a ball back and forth.

I created my speed bump but then ate a bit of the other half. I learned that I'm more hungry if I eat directly after walking.

    Good morning everyone.

I mentioned before that I had given WW another chance. I got 3 months free. I decided quickly again it just wasn't for me. I tried atleast. I know i can do this with just calorie counting so I'm going to stick with what I know works for me :)

@TeresaW1020 Thank you so much. Yes, he had been suffering. I did get a good Tonal workout and I didn't turn to food too much, maybe a little. Great NSV to have to get new pants!

    @gemwolf110 Good.

@cbabie Thank you so much. Yeah that migraine isn't quite done with me.

@theslightedgeforever Thank you, I miss him so much. His name was Louie. Yeah, it's good that the Tonal ups my weights. No cheating!

@roz0810 Well, at least now you know it definitely isn't for you, right? Happy birthday to your hubby.

Hello all. I still have a partial migraine, it is from the stress of losing my dog plus the weather change. Yesterday, I came home from work early because of it. I took a nap hoping it would take it away but it did not. I am doing another Tonal workout this morning, I hope my head can take it.

@roz0810 Knowing what works and what doesn't work for you is half the battle I think. So just keep tracking and find your balance.

@trooworld Louie awwww. So glad you're doing the tonal but sorry about the headache still. I hope you get better soon.

@gemwolf Made anything else good this week? The doggy in the front looks like he just told a good joke and the other two don't get it. lol

@renaegry Landscaping can be calorie burning. I've still got some yard to clean up when I finally return home next month. I guess I can't just stay on vacation forever. But I'll be glad to get back in my kitchen and make some good food.

@renaegry We are a chatty bunch lol. Good to hear from you.

@theslightedgeforever Thanks. It happened again yesterday. We'll see if it happens when the humidity is less. If so, I'll go to the doctor.

Hi all. My migraine is still there although I took some migraine medicine in the middle of the night so it isn't as bad. In addition to that, my lower back/spine area is tweaked, it feels like someone is clenching my spine and I have to bend at the waist to even walk without pain. I'm a mess! It is supposed to rain today. At least earlier in the day. We are having Tuscan Bean Soup for dinner and I'm looking forward to it.

@theslightedgeforever No, I did not. I think my back was hurting because of the stress of the week. It could have been because I used a foam roller on my sides but I didn't use it on my back so I don't think that is it. I didn't end up making the soup last night, we stopped and had a pretzel and a beer and that was my dinner.

Hi all. I talked to a doctor about my migraines and she suggested I take my migraine medicine shortly before I try working out and see if that helps, at least until the weather calms down (the changes in the weather are probably at fault). So, later today, I will try that. First, I have to get groceries and I'm getting my COVID booster shot as well. I gained 5.4 lbs this week. I'm so mad at myself but it's not surprising considering the stress of the week.

@trooworld Yikes on the back being tweaked. It might not be the Tonal but please make sure you are super focused on your form. When I started lifting weights, I was constantly tweaking my back. You gotta suck in the core while squeezing the butt! Easier said than done! :D And as for your weight, I’ve already given you that pep talk on F2F. You just draw a mental line and start again. You got this!! <3

@gemworlf110 Mmmm love me some enchiladas! :)

Good morning! This has been a weekend of lots of computer work. The church is getting a new online directory (my brilliant idea! :# ) and I’ve been working on flyers and graphics to try to get all these people on the same page and do what I want them to do. I’ve also had a huge to-do list of all kinds of things that I’ve been slowly crossing off. Plus, I started a Facebook Pampered Chef party yesterday and have had to help keep the fun going in that group. So, things are busy and I’m dreaming about our vacation that is only 9 days away!! I contacted the Reverand who married us at this tiny white chapel 10 years ago and asked if we can come by. He is on vacation but he is leaving us a key so we can go inside and look around and take some selfies. I’m super excited about that!

@trooworld Part of your weight gain is probably sodium bloat. It's hard to gain 5 lbs of pure fat on your body in one week. So back to basics. Plan your meals. Track your food. Eat lots of f&v and lean meats. Move your body. Tell yourself if you are tempted with something that wasn't planned that you can eat that tomorrow.

@teresaw1020 Have you been doing the basics this week? You sound busy as usual. Your vacation plans sound really neat.

I helped my son pack his apartment today and ate 1 1/2 pieces of pizza more than I needed to. At least I stopped myself from finishing the piece when I became aware I was full. But it still put me over.

Headed back to my dd's house tomorrow. So no check in.

@TeresaW1020 Yeah it was a lot better the next day (yesterday) but it is still stiff. I will definitely focus on my form! Thank you! The directory sounds like a lot of work lol. But good for you for doing it, I'm sure it will help the church out a lot. That's cool that you will get to go into where you were married!

@theslightedgeforever Yeah my hands are a bit swollen so I think you are right. I have been planning my meals all along, that's one habit I've stuck with. I'm tracking (honestly this time!) too so that is good. That's a good idea to tell myself tomorrow. Safe travels!

Hi all. I am going to try working out on the Tonal again this morning. Yesterday I didn't get to it, too much running around. But today, I will. I'm looking forward to it.

@theslightedgeforever I’m sticking to the basics. I’m doing my workouts as usual and keeping my meals high protein and low carb as much as possible. I am taking a break from tracking since I just started my third Data Driven Fasting challenge on Saturday. Tracking for the last couple of months showed me that most days I’m where I need to be and on days where I go off plan the tracking doesn’t really help to curtail my behavior. And since I find tracking incredibly tedious, especially the dinners I cook for the three of us, I’m just stopping and seeing how this month works. DDF keeps me on target because I want to hit my blood sugar target, so I will stay high protein and not snack between meals. So maybe I will track between DDF challenges. ;)

@trooworld That is great that your migraine meds helped before you did a workout! I know you haven’t had the Tonal very long but what do you love best about it so far? :)

Hello! I’m sitting down for a few minutes and thought I best write, or I will forget again. Today, I did my workout and then the usual grocery shopping. I cleaned the kitchen and then sat out on my porch and finished my Bible study for Thursday. I have stuff to do this week and wanted that completed and crossed off my list. This is the last week for this particular study and us ladies are having a little dinner party to celebrate. One of my dear friends called to tell me she is making my favorite German Chocolate cake. Just what I need the evening before weigh-in. Bless her heart! :D

HI all. I lost .6 lb this week...but here is what I see looking at my history...I Keep fighting the same 3 lbs...however, since March...I have lost 6 total, so all in all not a total waste of energy. I just want to keep losing the next 3 weeks My goal will be to keep the downhill going

I find it hard to get on here over the weekends. UGH. I met all my "zone" min this week..been playing kick ball with baby girl. LOL. I took the plastic off my treadmill now that I looks like no rain and cooler weather....it still works!!! YES!

@trooworld Glad you got a workout with no migraine...my daughter told me that she has been taking 1 Ibuprofen and 1 tylenol reg strength, its like a Vicodin without the drugs.. LOL. x that x's 2 if it's a real bad one...I took an extra strength tylenol (all I had) and an Ibuprofen on Friday and oh it worked in 30 min...

@TeresaW1020 Oh a directory...lots of work, but lots of memories..One time I ate a WHOLE German Chocolate Cake when I was a teen...no one in my family liked it and someone from the church made it for my dad...LOL.

@gemwolf110 Enchiladas are about the only Mexican food I like LOL

@trooworld Yaaay for planning your meals. That can help keep us in bounds. I did it today. Yaaay on taking your medicine beforehand. Are the two related?

@TeresaW1020 The thing I like the most about tracking is that it helps me analyze if I need to because I surely won't remember.

@cbabie Hooray on the loss. Congrats. Kickball is fun. I still don't like German Chocolate cake. It's the coconut. Like maggots. I like my coconut fine. You can have the cake, I'll take all the mexican food.

I saw a neat thing out my window today. It was like a vertical rainbow. Plus there had been no rain. I'll post a pic.

@TeresaW1020 I love the technology and the ease of changing exercises. It's so easy to switch! :) That must have been nice, sitting out on the porch doing your Bible study. Can you take a little piece of the cake?

@cbabie Congrats on the loss. That's very insightful. I'm glad your treadmill still works, yay!!! Yeah migraines suck. The only thing that works for me is the combo of Naproxen and Imitrex (both prescriptions). I'm glad you found something that works for you..

@theslightedgeforever I'm not sure what you are asking, are you asking if food and migraines are related or if exercise and migraines are related? The migraines are caused by the weather (most likely). Wow, that vertical rainbow is weird but cool!

Hi all. Well, I woke up with a migraine so I don't have much hope for working out but I took my migraine medication to try to knock it out so I can work out. Yesterday was pretty good. I stayed out of the vending machines and the cafe at work.

Morning all, I didn't do much yesterday. Played in the yard with baby girl, but mostly "sat" with her. I was only 22 over in my calories, but had lots of fat and carbs...I am in a trial this week to see how I can incorporate better eating, but not eat the foods that are not really healthy for me...even though I believe if you purposely stay away from a food because it's bad....your thoughts keep going to it and you fold. So trying to change my mindset about food.

@trooworld Sorry you are fighting migraine...understand the weather...it rained last night..now it's COOL...its 55 here...that is cold to me.. I took Naproxen when I had my knee issues...Dr had me take that + prescription . he did a cycle of on and off. I was so happy, I had RSD and even air going across my leg would make me cry.. He was a different Dr than the one that did the surgery...Long story short he was a God Send.... I still take Naproxen when I tweak it...it's the only thing that will stop the pain.

@theslightedgeforever love that picture..only you would see that!! maggots really? Your imagination never ceases to amaze me..LOL

@trooworld Yes, I will take a little piece of the cake and probably a little bit of everything else too. ;) But I’m almost under 175 lbs. and I want to hit that number before I leave for vacation on Monday, so that will help me behave! Then if gain a bunch on the trip that will be OK because I know how to get back on track and I’ve already said that I will NOT beat myself up for indulging in good food, decadent treats, and WINE!!! I haven’t had wine in months!!

@theslightedgeforver that is a very pretty picture! My sister hated German Chocolate cake and because my parents loved it so much, they would sometimes buy one and I would be the only one who got to eat cake. That sure ticked her off!

@cbabie It helped me to switch my mindset on foods to what is truly nutrient-dense over what I can and can’t eat. For me saying I can’t ever have something sets me up, but if I know I can have it when I truly want it then for some reason that helps me stick to the healthier foods more often. :)

Hello! Today was a good day. My hairdresser text me that she was sick and postponed me until Friday, so I cleaned the house, did laundry, and mopped floors. The house is looking good for my trip, and I have our itinerary all figured out along with the clothes we will wear. Since we will be sightseeing by day and eating at nice places in the evening, we need two sets of clothes a day. I finally just had to glare at hubby and tell him to walk away. He would live in the same jeans and T-shirt for the whole trip if it was left for him to decide. It’s NOT!! :p
