@fabgeekmom Happy day of your birthday today! :D Oh that's really close and convenient, that's good. Thank you. I hope you enjoyed the dinner, especially that wonderful birthday dessert!

@theslightedgeforever Yes! :D I hope your son doesn't mess up your cleaning job. Good luck with the packing.

    @cbabie Are you there lurking?

Hi all. I did a little better yesterday, probably because we walked fewer steps (only 6,324 steps yesterday vs 11,342 on Saturday). By flukes, I was able to get to all of my sessions early enough that I could sit in an aisle seat so no toes were stepped on yesterday! Today, no promises. Today is the last day of the conference (thankfully). It's going to be a long day. I've been tracking what I eat but I am not eating well. I think today, I will have some sort of a salad at lunch.

    Water yesterday: 36.2 oz

Morning all, Last week is a blur...my DY was in Alaska and the two little ones here made the time fly. He got home yesterday and it's going to be a catch up week this week. LOL

@trooworld yes I am lurking..LOL. I am glad you are enjoying your conference. I was cleaning out files last week and I realized how much my old company gave us training. I am thankful..I can still use some of what they taught us, but even so I used it much when I did work. Yeah on the weight loss. You are doing great.

@fabgeekmom Happy Birthday, dinner sounded yummy!! Especially the desert. LOL. I will someday have a bike for exercise...it is so muggy and hot here. So glad you have built in your habits to have a back up plan for when the weather is just too miserable to go outside.

@theslightedgeforever Yes keep on doing your planning and activating.. Enjoy Chicago.

@trooworld Ds did pretty good last year on keeping the house clean. He mostly just uses a couple of rooms. Did you get to have the salad?

@cbabie I thought you had a bike already. There is a thing you can attach to your outside bike to turn it into an indoor bike for exercise.

    @fabgeekmom Happy Birthday

Well everything is done basically for my trip. Tomorrow I will just clean out the fridge and empty garbage We bought tickets for Friday to see the new Minions movie. That will be fun. I probably won't get back on here til after the 4th unless I find some downtime.

@theslightedgeforever I had 2 stuffed grape leaves and a chicken gyro at the restaurant. Have fun on your trip. @trooworld That’s good that you got an aisle seat. It’s good to be comfortable. Conferences can be tiring. @cbabie I hope you get some time for yourself. Looking after little ones is exhausting. Hi, all. Thanks for the birthday wishes. Today was a swim day. My son is grilling some chicken breasts for dinner. We have leftover potato salad and tomatoes from the garden. Plus the cake and some ice cream for dessert.

@cbabie Is DY your husband? Was he fishing? I'm glad you came out of lurking lol. I missed you. That's good you can use some of what you learned still today. Thank you!

@theslightedgeforever That's good. I didn't have a salad: I was afraid it would make me have to use the restroom which I didn't want to do lol. So, I got a pulled pork sandwich and fries. Enjoy your trip and the Minions movie. See you on the 4th.

@fabgeekmom Oh yes they are! Good job with the swim. I hope you enjoyed the food.

Hi all. I was able to find aisle seats yesterday at the conference as well, which dropped my anxiety quite a bit. I was less tired yesterday than in previous days, I think it took a few days for my body to get used to it. I was able to enjoy things much more yesterday rather than dreading every minute of it and counting down the minutes until I could go home. I didn't get home until after 6 last night, which really stunk. Today, I am off but not sitting around resting: my friend is here from Washington State and we are going to this meditation garden and then for lunch. We will walk around the garden.

@trooworld Have fun with your friend. Hi, all. I enjoyed my meal yesterday with the family. My children gave me some flavored coffee nice cards. DH and I don’t exchange gifts. Today is cooler than usual so I had a nice walk. Now I’m sitting outside in the shade. We are supposed to have a heat wave this weekend so I’m enjoying the cooler weather.

Afternoon all, I didn't have a day that I planned and couldn't get to things I wanted to. Like just now getting on here...it's 4pm and I am usually cooking dinner right now, but trying for consistency. LOL

@fabgeekmom oh yes enjoy the cool weather, it's been so hot and muggy here. I don't even let baby girl get in the pool when it's full sun on it. (she says I am mean). Yea on the dinner.

@trooworld So glad you enjoyed the last day of the conference. I love to learn..I would be a full time student my entire life if I could..but never use what I learned..LOL

@fabgeekmom Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed your meal and your gifts. Good job with the walk, that's good it's cooler. Stay cool!

@cbabie I'm sorry you didn't get to do what you wanted. I think we are all permanent students...of life! LOL Seriously, I learn something new every day, especially the days I work. Do I use what I learned? NO not always lol.

Hi all. My day with my friend was really nice. The meditation garden was really pretty, it was right on the ocean. There were a lot of people there, I didn't expect that considering it was during the week, but it was still enjoyable. We went to lunch and I had a Mediterranean wrap that was low in calories. I felt like I needed something on the healthier side after eating at the convention. After that, we went down to the bay and walked around. It was a great day.

Morning all, Yesterday was a very long day, but I am up and refreshed. I even did a workout this morning. I am continuing to try to make small changes in my routine, until I get where I would like to be. (then I will probably change just because I am bored) LOL

@trooworld that place is gorgeous. It looks so relaxing and peaceful. I am that you got to enjoy it and have a great day with a friend. AND you had a good food choice..

@trooworld The meditation garden looks really peaceful. I’m glad you had a great day. @cbabie I’m glad you had a better day. Good job on the workout. Hi, all. We went swimming this morning. We ate lunch on the patio as it is cool outside. It’s so peaceful. I hear birds chirping. We’re going out to eat at an Italian restaurant to celebrate our son’s birthday. My son is making cookies, I think, as he left butter to soften and raisins on the counter. As if we need more sweets in the house.

@cbabie I'm glad you woke up refreshed. That's a nice feeling, isn't it? Good plan to make small changes. Yes, that place is WOW, so amazing! Thank you.

@fabgeekmom It should have been and was to some extent but all the people walking through and taking pictures and standing around made it less so. Thank you. Good job with the swim. That's nice that it is cool out. Happy birthday to your son!

Hi all. Happy 4th of July! It's supposed to be the start of a heat wave today but if you ask me, yesterday was pretty darned hot lol. I might go for a walk this morning somewhere and meet my husband for coffee but we'll see. I also feel a bit lazy.

@trooworld it’s getting hot, here, too. The hot weather makes us lazy. Hi, all. Happy, fourth! I didn’t do much today. I did get a walk before it got too hot. Also rode the bike. I had to go grocery shopping for today through Saturday. I didn’t get everything I needed so my son will get it. We had salmon, corn on the cob and salad. I made a Skinnytaste recipe for strawberry and goat cheese salad. I rolled balls of goat cheese in a dried cranberry and almond mixture. I’ll do that again when the family comes over.

@fabgeekmom Yes! Totally. That's good you got a walk in and rode the bike. That sounds like a good salad recipe. I like goat cheese.

Hi all. Hot hot hot lol. Yesterday, we went for breakfast and then I didn't eat until dinner. We didn't do too much, we did go to Macy's. Other than that, just hung around the house. Today, I'm going to the county fair with a friend. It's supposed to be the hottest day of the week today. I'll be sure to wear a hat and sunscreen. I doubt I'll get any food at the fair, if I do, it will probably be this pineapple stuffed with shrimp or chicken. It's on the healthier side and something I really enjoy.

Morning, we didn't do much yesterday. It is so hot here, you really can't stand to be outside. My oldest daughter, her DH and her daughter came over yesterday, got in the pool, cooked out hamburgers and visited. The 2 little ones love the pool. Oh I made brownies, (with applesauce) just didn't tell anyone. LOL

@fabgeekmom LOL we always have too many sweets around here. You outside sounds peaceful..we have too much street sound to be peaceful. (live right off a main freeway here). It wasn't like that when we bought it.LOL.

@trooworld Your day sounds relaxing. Enjoy the fair. I have never been to ours, used to drop the kids off when they were teens. I just never have been. I can hear my sister say that cause she is the fun one. LOL. If I did go, I would want real cotton candy..LOL Not shrimp and pineapple. See you are making better choices than I would. :). great job

@trooworld I hope you enjoyed yourself at the fair today and didn’t get too hot. The pineapple with chicken or shrimp sounds good. @cbabie I’m glad you had a good time with your daughter. Hamburgers and brownies are yummy. Hi, all. Today was a swim day. DH and I had salmon from last night for lunch. I had some arugula and homegrown tomatoes to make a salad. Tonight is steak night. DS is maintaining the steaks with olive oil and rosemary.

    Happy Saturday!

Hope everyone had a great Fourth’s of July! I had a decent week. I joined a new gym last month and had a complimentary personal training session this past Wednesday. I definitely used different muscles that I haven’t used in a while.

2 weeks left of this class, then I get a break before the next one starts. After the next class I’ll be halfway done with the program.

Dogs are doing good. I took vacation this week to help family out after my stepdad had surgery. He’s all good just a lot of pain from everything they had to do.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! Looks like it is going to be a rainy/gloomy one here.

@cbabie LOL I bet those brownies were good. Sounds like a good 4th. Thank you! I did have fun. HAHAHA You are fun, too. :) You know, more on that shrimp and pineapple later lol. Thank you.

@fabgeekmom I did! Good job with the swim. Tonight is steak night for us (we don't have it often but I got some from Sam's Club).

@gemwolf110 I did, I hope you did too! Do you like your new gym? I can't believe you are halfway done already, that's awesome! That was nice of you to help out your family. Great tracking record.

Hi all. The fair was a lot of fun. It wasn't too hot, it was about 78F. It was hot because there wasn't a breeze but it wasn't too hot. And not too crowded (we got there when it first opened). I got the pineapple shrimp thing BUT it was really boring, small, and expensive ($25!). I regretted getting it. It had a little plain white rice, some cut up pineapple, and about 6 pieces of boring shrimp (only seasoning was salt). I thought I remembered it being fried rice in that pineapple boat but I was wrong. Oh well. My friend talked me into going on the sky ride. I was terrified the whole time and it was hilarious. We went to the piglet races, which was really cute. The race for an oreo. I can relate lol. Today, just hanging out. We will probably go for coffee somewhere.

@gemw1010 I hope your stepdad is feeling better. I know what you mean about using muscles you haven’t used before. The gym sounds nice. It’s good to have a session with a personal trainer. What are you going to school for? @trooworld It really sucks when you spend a lot of money for something that’s not good. The fair sounded like fun. I’m not sure I would be game for the sky ride. A few years ago I went up to the top of a really tall building in Chicago. That was scary but fun. Hi, all. I went walking before breakfast to beat the heat. It was nice. I’ll do the bike as well. Tonight is family dinner and my son is making shrimp tacos.

He is feeling better slowly but today he isn’t feeling well. I’m going to school for a Masters of Business Administration (MBA).

Have fun at dinner! Smart getting the walk in early.

I like the new gym, was going there as a guest with my friend so could only go when she was going. Now I can go basically whenever I want to go. And the 556 I should have put days consecutively coming on MFP.

@fabgeekmom Yes, it sure does! I am afraid of heights so it was really surprising that she talked me into going on the sky ride lol. I would have felt safer in that building for sure. Good job with the walk and bike.

@gemwolf110 I'm glad you like your new gym. Well, it's great that you've been coming on MFP for 556 days!

Hi all. I did a lot of running around/errands yesterday but other than that, I don't remember what we did lol. I know we took a nap, we Zoomed with my older brother and his family, and I read for a bit. I know we took the pups to a dog park. We came home and I smoked some cream cheese that I put Everything Bagel seasoning on and we snacked on that with crackers while I got actual dinner ready (steak and baked potatoes). Other than that, it was a lazy day. Today promises to be more of the same: it's going to be another hot day.

@trooworld That was a busy day! Hi, all. I was able to walk this morning before it got too hot. The shrimp was so good that DS and I went to the store and bought more. DS air fried it and made coleslaw and salsa to go with it. So good! DS is making red velvet cupcakes to take to my daughter’s house tonight. DH found out that his truck is leaking gas. So he will have it towed to the dealership in the morning.

Hey all......I finally arrived at my daughter's house late this afternoon. My son is driving up tomorrow. I had a good time in Chicago. The 4th was spent grilling out and then we went to see the fireworks at the golf course. I am physically tired. Since I left my house I have been non-stop. I'm just glad I can have some downtime now. I'm headed to bed but wanted to check in here first.

@fabgeekmom Yes! Good job with the walk. The shrimp sounds good. That's too bad about the truck. I hope it gets fixed soon.

@theslightedgeforever That sounds like a nice time you are having. Thanks for checking in, rest up. I'm sure your daughter will keep you on your toes!

    @cbabie How are you?

Hi all. We took the dogs to a dog park and then dropped them off at home and headed to the farmer's market. It was super hot and I got worn out. We came home and I took two naps throughout the day. I also read a bit and sat on the porch. We didn't eat lunch until about 2-3 pm so I didn't eat dinner. I'm back to work today so I'll get more water in.

Morning all, I didn't do much this weekend. I didn't even go to church. I got up way too late. I didn't exercise, but I have already done my workout today. It's so hot here no one wants to be outside. Not at anytime of the day. The kids are loving the pool though. LOL

@trooworld sounds like you had a very relaxing weekend. Glad you were able to spend sometime outside. Sorry about the shrimp...I hate to feel like I wasted my money. LOL

@fabgeekmom Dinners are sounding good and glad you are still keeping your movement up! Oh no that stinks about leaking gas. Yum red velvet cupcakes..I will be right over. LOL

@theslightedgeforever Glad you made it to DD and you are getting into your routine again. I think you will do great this time...Lots of mind prep on your part. I bet it will be good to see your son..I think he makes you laugh. LOL (or you make him laugh).

@theslightedgeforever I’m glad you had a good weekend and have arrived at your daughter’s house. Enjoy your downtime. @trooworld What a busy day you had! The heat really saps your energy. Good job on not eating dinner when you were not hungry. @cbabie I can understand that you didn’t feel like doing much when it was so hot. Glad the children enjoyed the pool. Hi, all. The truck was towed to the dealership and we found out that rodents had chewed the gas line. I’m thinking it was squirrels as there are a lot of them. DH put a claim in our car insurance. Hopefully that will pay for the repairs minus our deductible. He is looking online for a rodent repellent that he can spray on the engine. Hopefully the mechanic will have some ideas. Dinner is easy: burgers, fries and coleslaw.

@cbabie Why was your weekend like that? Was it too hot? That's good you got a workout in yesterday. I'm glad you have a pool. I did have a relaxing weekend. Yeah that's how I felt about the shrimp lol.

@fabgeekmom Yeah my husband, lately, has been wanting to be out and about all weekend. Yes, the heat does sap your energy! That sucks about the truck. I had something similar happen recently: rodents chewed the ignition hose. If your DH finds anything to repell them, let me know: I asked at the dealership and they said that they heard that rodents don't like peppermint so use peppermint oil. I haven't tried it though so I don't know. I'm glad you had an easy dinner.

Hi all. Because I didn't eat dinner on Sunday night, all day yesterday I was hungry. At least that's the only thing I can think would cause it. I finally caved in at about 2 pm and had a piece of celebration cake for someone's anniversary. I drank a lot of water yesterday and that didn't even help my hunger, it was all head hunger, I think. Ugh.

Morning, I had an early dentist appointment this morning. Had to have a bridge replaced. I am not sure what exercise I will get in today. Hopefully late this afternoon. We are having grilled chicken and corn on the cob. for dinner.

@fabgeekmom I have a cartoon mind and could see the squirrels eating your wire...otherwise I would totally freak. I hope you find a protectant on that. I like simple dinners..

@trooworld Yes that is what happens to me when I don't eat and the next day I am starving..but my mind would say..well you didn't eat the calories yesterday you have them today with todays totals as well. LOL. So I can see I would make a terrible coach. LOL

@trooworld Head hunger is the worst kind! Perhaps next time eat a light dinner if you have eaten a late lunch. @cbabie Grilled chicken and corn on the cob sounds good. Hi, all. I went walking early this morning to beat the heat. I had to go to two grocery stores as the one I usually go to doesn’t sell the bread I eat. I don’t really like shopping at the store where I found my bread. Dinner tonight was grilled pork loin that I marinated in olive oil, grainy mustard and sherry. We also had roasted delicata squash with olive oil, maple syrup, salt and cinnamon. Plus corn on the cob. I had to cook as DS worked late. That’s when I appreciate all he does for me.
