Trooworld. Hugs for the family situation. Now no more talk of gaining I’m someone who put on 12 lbs in about 4 months. It’s not that bad when you think a lb gained here and there. But it doesn’t stop. Then my clothes are tighter now. Plus I spent 4 months doing damage to my health and body. It’s like putting a frog in water and slowly turning up the heat The frog doesn’t realize he is slowly being cooked to death. So right now is the time that if you can’t focus on losing you focus on maintaining. You can still choose fruit and veggies over junk food. Hospital snacks are the worst. Bring some with you. While you are at the hospital go walk up and down some stairs. Even one flight is better than just sitting. So while you aren’t able to cook your healthy meals at home you will be fighting to just stay the same. The one day things will get back to normal

Trishastime Hmmmm. I’d better go check my Gmail. Hope you have a good Easter weekend

Fully tracked; stayed within calories; walked 28 min; 4.6 glasses water

@TrishasTime thanks, I got the email too. I'll have to deal with it later as I have to get to work soon.

@theslightedgeforever thank you. Oh I'm not buying anything at the hospital. I'm only going to the hospital on the weekends. During the week, here is what my schedule looks like: get up at 5:10, leave for work by 6:50, work 8-4:30, stop by hospital and pick up husband on way home get home at about 6:30-6:45, cook dinner and go to bed by 8:15-30, get up and do it again. On weekends, it's different, I've got stuff to do and have to go to the hospital. It's more the mental fatigue that gets me than the "I don't have the time to track". I'm not making that bad of decisions, I'm really not. But sometimes, I am.

Hi all. Today, I go to the doctor's for a checkup. I'm going to ask about my headaches. I'm sure he's going to prod me about weight loss. :( Well, at least I get off early today! Have a good day everyone.

Hi all. Where is everyone? Is everyone staying away because of the data breach, or are you all just busy? I hope you come back. :)

I went to the doctor on Friday about my headaches and he told me to start taking multivitamins for women over 50 even though I'm not over 50, and also start taking COQ10. Both might help with the headaches.

I hope all is well in your world, and that you enjoy your Easter.

Trooworld. I went to a brunch on Saturday that lasted all day and then it’s been family time this weekend. My mom loved CoQ10. She believed it help cure her congestive heart failure. Who knows. My DH has osteoarthritis in his neck and it flares up at times and gives him headaches

Gemwolf nice to hear from you. I hope you and your family had a nice Easter.

Trishastime I know it’s some kind of supplement. My mom used to take it

I’m in the middle of a colonoscopy prep I’ll be glad when this is over Let’s hope they don’t make me repeat it again

Saturday over on cals Today under cals no exercise either day.

@gemwolf110 Happy Easter to you too!

@TrishasTime hi! CoQ10 is a vitamin supplement, dr said it would help with the headaches hopefully.

@theslightedgeforever I forgot people were probably busy with Easter. That is interesting about what your mom believed about CoQ10. It is supposed to be good for the heart too. Oh I hope they don't make you repeat that prep. Thanks for the highlights!

Hi all. We had a small Easter dinner over at my sister-in-law's house but it didn't feel right with my brother-in-law in the hospital and not able to be with us. :( We didn't stay long. I hope you had a good Easter. Now back to the grind.

@TrishasTime I will let you know, yes, it is supposed to be really good for you.

Hi all. Hope all is well. I'm up early to drop off DH at the gym and then come back and get ready for work...no time for me to go. I tracked everything I ate yesterday. Have a good day!

Trooworld. Good job on your tracking. Hopefully next Easter all the family will be around the table. I hope to be thinner next Easter

Trishastime I hope I don’t have to repeat this procedure either. I’ve done my low fiber prep and today is all liquids. I’ll be starting to drink that yucky stuff soon. Then tomorrow is the big day At least I should lose some weight this week haha Good job on your weight loss

Guess I need to send out the hounds for cbabie

@theslightedgeforever thanks. Yes, indeed hopefully. I hope to be thinner next Easter as well. That prep sounds very uncomfortable, I see why you don't want to repeat it! Yes, please send out the hounds for cbabie, I'm worried about her.

Hi all. I know I told you that I've been putting on makeup, well it was part of a self-care plan. I had hopes that if I took care of myself in one area of my life, other areas would follow and it seems to be working, I am keeping up with the makeup and this will be day 3 of tracking. I haven't been snacking at work either. I hope you all have a good day.

    Morning everyone

@theslightedgeforever - Best wishes for today - hope all goes okay

@trooworkd - I am glad you are looking after yourself - well done. They say you need to put your own oxygen mask on first before assisting others

Trooworld. Good for you on being consistent on your makeup and now tracking is following. Way to work it! And no snacking. That’s huge.

Trishastime so have you been putting your own oxygen mass on first?

So procedure went well I think. They removed two polyps and had them sent off. My blood pressure went too high during the procedure though a couple of times

So back to eating normal tomorrow.

@TrishasTime thanks. Are you okay? You are pretty quiet...just busy?

@theslightedgeforever thanks, yes, I'm doing very well overall. That's good to get those polyps removed. Fingers crossed they come back fine. I'm sure you will be glad to get back to your normal routine. I think my blood pressure would go high during that procedure too.

Hi all. I lost -0.7 lbs this week, I could have lost more but we were late getting home and stopped and picked up Little Caesars pizza last night, pizza is never good to eat the night before weigh in and I know that, but I was hungry and it was convenient and didn't want to argue. I am doing well overall, I just need to get more sleep.

    @cbabie ... where are you???

Trooworld that’s great you lost some weight. Just keep to your good habits.

Where’s the rest of our group

I stayed within calories No exercise exercise yet though. I’m still a bit lightheaded Hopefully this will pass soon

    trooworld Posts: 6,740 Member
@theslightedgeforever yes, I'm happy about it. Indeed, where is everyone? I hope your lightheadedness goes away soon. Don't try to exercise like that!!!

Hello all. I'm glad it is Friday. I'm tired again today. I'm realizing how important it is for me to get 8 hours of sleep a night. This week, I've gotten about 7-7 1/2 each night. Just that little bit makes a difference. Well, I'm off to track my food for the day and get ready. Have a good day.

    morning everyone

@theslightedgeforever _ Finger crossed that the result come back showing nothing unusual

@trooworld - Congrats on your loss :) Sometimes life /convenience gets in our way. Best to go with it and get back on the wagon the next day. I am sure it will show in next weeks results

I have been very busy all week, yesterday I had the root canal finshed and 2 crowns prepped. I wa sin the chair for 2 hours and did not feel like doing much when I got home.

Should have the permanent crowns by Friday, in the meantime, I am not to bite anything hard

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend

@TrishasTime thank you! Yes, I hope. 2 hours in a dentist's chair would be terrible, I'm sorry you had to go through that.

Hi all. I've made my meal plan for the week, it's based on easy meals to make. I need easy. Last night, we didn't eat dinner until 9:45 pm! :( We are usually in bed by then. But DH wasn't home from the hospital until 9pm, so we didn't eat until then. I've got to figure out the points for my meals, but the calories don't look so bad. I'm sure the points will be different...particularly the pasta dish I'm making. I'm sure that's going to be point-heavy. Have a good day everyone!

Trooworld. I’m much better now. sleep is so important. It’s really a part of self care. Is there a way to make your pasta dish lighter for next time? I do a lot of recipes by routine and never think how to change them. But lots of successful weight loss people always talk about this. The other alternative is to keep the recipe the same and just eat a smaller portion and add veggies and fruit on the side Sounds good in theory but so hard to do.

Trishastime I’m hoping for the same thing on those polyps. Good luck on your crowns. I’ll be doing my dental work this summer.

I stayed in calories today but went over yesterday. It was a busy grab and go day. I did too much grabbing. Lol.

@theslightedgeforever I'm glad you are better. Actually, the pasta dish ended up being 8 pts, so not bad. I thought it would be a lot more than that. I'm fine with it being 8 pts.

Hi all. I hope you are having a great Sunday. I'm getting ready to do some meal prep. Yesterday wasn't so good...over on points by double. I was at my limit for the day by noon. :( Today will be better. I'm trying to talk DH into going to the park for some exercise. I think I've got him talked into it. I could go by myself but I'm more likely to go if he agrees to go too.

    theslightedgeforever Posts: 2,343 Member
Trooworld. 8 is good number of points. Did you make it to the park?

I went over today. I was fine and then had crackers before I slept. I need to remember to check my diary before eating.

    trooworld Posts: 6,740 Member
@theslightedgeforever it's not too many, to me. I get 24 a day. I did not make it to the park but I did go on a long walk with the dog and DH. I hope you have a good, focused day today.

Hi all. I hope cbabie comes back soon. I miss her. :( Trish, you are missed too, I know you just had dental work done so maybe you aren't feeling so good. I'm okay. I'm about to pretrack my food for the day. I ordered a smartwatch yesterday for my birthday (which isn't until the fall but I wanted it now), it's called a Ticwatch E. Not by Fitbit or anyone like that, it's a small Chinese company that did a kickstart campaign but it got really good reviews. I can't wait to get it.

I'm having overnight oats all week for breakfast. This may be a mistake, as I don't normally like sweet things for breakfast, but I'm sick of eggs. Have a good day, everyone!

    Hi everyone

My temporary crown fell off yesterday, so it was back to the dentist again. I just canot wait until I get the permanent one as I can eat normally again. Bugger it just came off again whilst eating eggs as I typed this.

@trooworld - I have a fitbit and love it, you will love your smart watch too

@theslightedgeforever - I follow a receipe book set called "symply too good to be true" by Annette Syms. She has done all that hard work of swapping out ingredients. There is a whole range of things in the 7 books. Sunday night we had rissotto, last night drovers pie, tonight is park with orange and hazelnut sauce and Thursday is Moussaka. I just flick through them and pick out what I like and then work it into my daily allowance. Most recipes are around 350 cal per serve.

Must go an book another dentist appointment

Trooworld that’s good you had a long walk. I had oats for breakfast this morning. I usually have them twice a week and then eggs twice and then 2 fruits, 1 T chia seeds, and 2 Oz cheese on the other three days. I reached out to cbabie I love my smartwatch I bet you will too

Trishastime ouch on the temp crown. He didn’t set it very well. I’m hoping I don’t crack any more teeth. Your recipe books sound interesting. What is drovers pie. Is that like shepherds pie? I just need to set down and plan it out but I keep procrastinating. So maybe do one recipe per day

Today I went over. Spaghetti. It gets me every time

    trooworld Posts: 6,740 Member
@TrishasTime those temporary crowns are a pain. With all this modern technology, you'd think they'd come up with a way to make those stick on huh? Yeah, I liked my Fitbit but wanted a change.

@theslightedgeforever thanks for reaching out to cbabie. I hope she comes back soon. Maybe I need to do a variety of breakfasts like you do. I'm sure I'll love that watch, I've been wanting one for a while but just got really excited over it the other day. When I get really excited over something, I can't stop thinking about it. Spaghetti gets me every time too, that's why I don't have it very often.

Hi all! It was really nice weather here yesterday, in the high 70s low 80s. Unfortunately, I was at work and couldn't enjoy it lol. But it was still warm when I got off work. I hope you all have a nice day!

    hello, hang my head....

I have been trying to figure out what to do about my eating, my health, my time management....all to no avail. I was exhausted after our Easter Carnival and decided to take a little hideaway from most of my normal activities. It really didn't work...I think today I feel more unorganized and out of kilter than before. So I am starting here today....

I went to the gym and the trainer worked out my arms and thighs and rear...I really don't want a big bum....I have always been flat and I liked it that way..my shoulder was so bad and then I found Essential oils that have really helped and I really only have to apply them once a day. I am so impatient with myself. I want everything to be normal now. I feel like I have not been normal in such a long time. So the week off was supposed to get ME back..not sure how that worked out..LOL

I just wanted to say that I appreciate that you sent the HOUND, my loving sister after me...she gave the mother look over the phone LOL

I miss you guys and I miss the support that I get from each of you. So I won't go into hiding, I will just face each day and do the very best that I can to make each day better than the day before.

@TrishasTime I am so sorry about your tooth and the book that you are using to get recipes sounds interesting. I have a family that doesn't like to try new things...they just like a piece of meat and veggies...they are not big on the cheap things..LOl

@trooworld What kind of watch are you getting? I need to use my fitbit to it's potential. I bought it for a reason and I need to use ALL the functionality of it.

Okay guys, I have to get into the shower and get ready for a conf call., but wanted to make sure I logged in today and poked my head in...Sorry for being gone so long...

Trooworld. I keep saying that about technology and mammograms. I hear they have something new but not all clinics have it yet. That does sound like good weather. I need to work on my lunches now. Breakfast choices have become a habit

Cbabie. Glad to see you. So what would a normal day look like to you. Write it all out. What time are you waking up, and what time are you sleeping. Then what happens in between? Oooh I have a mother look? I’m so excited.

So I’m reading a good book right now called Mini Habits for Weightloss I read his other book Mini Habits. It was good.

Over food cals yesterday. I need to skip to the part in the book where he says how to not overeat

@cbabie yay! I'm so glad you are back. I missed you truly. I'm sorry you don't know what to do about your health. Maybe starting at day one with a fresh start will help you. I'm glad the essential oils are helping your shoulder. Is it eucalyptus oil that is helping? I got a Ticwatch E...it's not by a huge company, it's by a company that had a kickstarter campaign last year that raised over $3 million for their initial run, had a great initial run and came out with their second watches (the Ticwatch E and the Ticwatch S). It's an Android smartwatch, runs on a Google OS. I like it so far (just unboxed it yesterday). Glad you are back!

Hi all. The weather is warm and dry here. It's nice but a bit uncomfortable. I'm starting to get a bit of a headache. I hope it doesn't develop into a migraine. I'm pretracked for the day. I hope you all have a good day.

    Morning everyone

@theslightedgeforever - Drovers pie is made with lamb mince, zucchini, carrot, peas so yes similar to shepherds pie which in OZ is made with beef mince. Let us know what you think of the book please

@trooworld _ Hope that headache stays minimal, great that you have petracked for the day. I can feel your excitment over the new smart watch -- willgoogle it

@cbabie - Glad to see you back

Not having a great time over here, feel as if I have walked under a ladder. First it is the teeth, then I blew up the dishwasher trying to fix it, now the tooth that had the root canal has snapped in half before the permanent crown was on - sigh. I must go out the back to see if we have am money tree growing

    Have a great day everyone
