    I'm back after having hip replacement surgery 3 months ago. My goal will be to ride my stationary recumbent bike 100 miles in the month of August.

    8/1: 5.1 miles/ 25 minutes
    8/2: 5.1 miles/25 minutes
    8/3: 5.6 miles/ 27 minutes
    8/4: 6.2 miles/30 minutes

    I came back too say I WAS 6.0 miles short of my goal in July. I tried my best. I will carry on in August and do the same...GOOD LUCKY EVERYONE! :)

    Goal is to get to 8-22 riding every day. This day is the end of the pedal off the pounds program i am in. Then will set new goal to continue riding every day until Iowa winter makes it too difficult then will have to switch to gym usage.

    Had a sub-par workout day today...didn't get any paddling in (mostly due to my own fault). Going to be watching the weather tomorrow to see if I can sneak some in since most of the weekend and next week may be washouts due to rain moving into the area.

    1 August: 2.02 miles glider machine (low impact)
    2 August: 2.00 miles glider machine (low impact)
    3 August: 2.88 miles SUP; 2.06 miles glider machine (low impact)
    4 August: 2.05 miles glider machine (low impact)

    **Turns out I've sprained the medical collateral ligament in my right knee. No more stairs, running or jumping for a while. I can walk as long as I don't go too fast or twist it. There is one "weights" exercise I am to do. And ... happily ... I can continue to cycle! **

    Bummer about the injury, but glad you can still cycle! Take care of the injury and you will come back stronger once healed, I'm sure!

    SO SORRY Machka! :( I know you do a LOT of work and more than the majority of us. You will be up and running along again as long as YOU DO NOT OVER DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *HUGS*

    I did another short walk very late evening last night so that game me another 1.0 Walking Mile
    Today we have done 4.0 Walking miles so far. I want too push mow the lawn but that will depend on whether I get it done. If so I will log that tomorrow..

    Had a brutal paddling session today. Relatively easy paddle out (42 minutes/3.2 mph), but turned around and had a brutal headwind with a moderate chop on the water to get back (93 minutes/1.4 mph). Knew I was going to make it, but it was bit more strenuous and took much longer than I was expecting. But wanted to get some time on the water before all the rain moves into the area for the next week or so (especially since I may not be logging many miles next week due to weather).

    1 August: 2.02 miles glider machine (low impact)
    2 August: 2.00 miles glider machine (low impact)
    3 August: 2.88 miles SUP; 2.06 miles glider machine (low impact)
    4 August: 2.05 miles glider machine (low impact)
    5 August: 4.44 miles SUP

    Total: 8.13 miles walking/glider machine; 7.32 miles Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP)

    Sorry to hear that Machka...hope it mends...oh and well done KonaG on keeping up the post op excercise - that can be tough! It is good to see you back.

    Lots of new people doing well on their new goals - well done!

    4 august - welsh woods walk
    5 august - lovely walk along welsh coastline followed by wave jumping (exhilarating!!)
    6 august - walk in welsh hills before walking round a welsh village agricultural show (orange sheep!! Also v cute springer spaniel display - one of the dog breeds we are considering Jeannie...)

    Great to be walking in wales. Lovely scenery - all walks a bit short for my liking (90 mins or so) but a lot of rellie viaiting happening too. But I think they have all counted for the 350 goal.
