You know what, I would never in a million years watch them on my own time, but having all these "happy endings" and beautiful people and "love" and "magic" and predictable endings and stuff may be helping me psychologically...I've noticed my anxiety has lessened this past month...coincidence?

Google ads are tormenting me with a pair of boots I've been coveting for a few years - why now Google? I haven't looked at those beautiful temptresses in at least a month!1

Moving & have no furniture, so would like to buy a few old pieces to drag out onto the patio to refurbish. Thinking about where to go, colors, styles... it will be fun.1

I feel kind of disgusted with myself. I didn't do anything the whole day and shut out everyone saying that I want to study for my exam tomorrow, but I haven't started doing that either 1

My uncle's funeral is today. Obviously, I'm too far away to attend, which is a bit of a bummer, but I also wouldn't want to take my son out of school to go to a funeral for a person he has never met. Still sucks. He was a really cool dude and my dad really liked him.
So now that makes two people on my mom's side that passed away this year. 6 -

Excited that my scale this morning shows I have officially lost over 50 pounds!!! 51 pounds today!!!! Only 11.2 pounds to go to goal. All of this after going through Thanksgiving!!!! Weeeee heeeee... Merry Christmas early to me!6

Interviewing for jobs & being consistently over-qualified or encountering the few who think I need an advanced degree to do my job (uh... I've got 20+ yrs experience... I've done fairly well sans advanced degree, thanks, then)... both sides have been an issue for a long time.
What helps? Lighting candles? Praying to the gods/goddesses? Incense? Tarot cards? Church? Downplaying my resume? Done all of the above... none have proven helpful. Now what?2 -

Same here. It's not that I don't like what I do, I just wish I had my own office space to be a complete introvert and I only had to talk to people because I wanted to!0 -
I just realized that if they haven't already, two authors whom I *highly* respect will soon be reading my short story where a drunken college girl poops on a wall...it just now really hit me that maybe I coulda sent something a little more *classy*. I wouldn't say this is "Regret" level yet but it is borderline6

come back to the world of software development.... you know you miss the 1's and 0's
I do miss all that is binary & would jump back in in a second if I felt I could revamp my skills & get a job. Outside that field, I'm at the mercy of the interviewers... gotta revamp my plan, cuz what I've been doing for many months isn't working at all. 1
