14-year-old’s, impression of the homecoming dance:
“it was very loud, everyone was talking, none of them were people I wanted to talk to, and none of it was music I wanted to listen to.”
The kid just described my 20s. Especially the part where the cops were called.1 -
I thought I was going to let my gray grow in but then I saw a picture of myself and now I have an appointment at the salon next Friday2

When I was hiking with my buddy yesterday, the trail started to get crowded and she and I took a little break in a picturesque spot.
A man came up on the trail behind us, huffing and puffing, and I told him he should go on ahead of us because we were moving slow.
And the dude said, “oh that’s OK I would rather hike with you two anyway.”
So I told him, “well, we’re having a little girl talk. You know how it is.” He took the hint and kept it moving and she and I never discussed it afterwards and it just now strikes me as funny1 -

The only one of my kids who consistently meal preps is the one who’s not interested in weight lifting. Since the start of school, he picks one day of the weekend to create five identical lunches for himself.
Week one: plov
Week two: rigatoni
Week three: chicken and bean burritos

As a man I’d much rather have that special person who I click with, brings me endless amounts of love, joy and laughter. Someone who I find irresistibly beautiful/sexy but not just because of her face and body, because of her intellect, humor, challenges me at every moment to keep me on my toes, and who respects herself.
That’s what stops all other women from existing in my world.
So go make him see Your Worth it more than a few toys and if he doesn’t or can’t then he’s not worth your time and love.

Where I come from in my generation “your mother” & “shut up” are examples of this.

Lol. He's doesn't wear any. He's so basic and simple...he wears plain t-shirts, tanks, doesn't wear jewerly, hes not flashy...he does absolutely nothing just his existence makes them flock.0
