Day 4 of fab abs, love handled and rake challenge done.
I am very fortunate to be away this weekend (dumbbell in tow obviously @Ibenson2006) at a cabin with some friends. I got to do my morning workout in front of a lovely quiet lake where a family of Ducks were my only audience ;-)

Surprised by how fast five minutes goes by.
Gratefully, I feed & contribute to the homeless, women (kids) in distress and foster children throughout the year. This is a good reminder to check-in.

This is a super long list, but today, I'm going to forgive myself for what I've done to my body over the years and RECOMMIT to taking better care of myself! YESSSS!
While listening to the Quick & Dirty Tips blog this week, one of the life hacks is to line your refrigerator shelves with Press 'n Seal. It will catch all gunk & spills and then you just lift the whole thing off & replace as needed. Genius! Off to take care of this now.

So yesterday I finally did my measurement, I look forward to seeing my new measurement in a month.
I'm taking my rest day today, been doing the challenges everyday since day 1.
I'm doing both the ab. Challenges, plus some of the other one and some of my own for added affect. I'm feeling it, so that's why I decided to do the break today.3 -

Woot! Haven't finished day 6 yet but... managed TWO push-ups in a row!!!! I know my plan is to get up to 10 in a row by end of the month, but already 2 is quite an achievement for me! (And they're regular push-ups, not modified ones). Let's see if I can complete the other 8 in sets of 2 as well!

@stella7x7 That's awesome! It's always good to plan in a rest day at regular intervals. Your body needs those and there's no point in pushing too far too fast as you risk burning out or worse, hurting yourself (which we definitely don't want!)
I remember how hard it was when I first started. I was at 115kg (253lbs) and I couldn't even hold a plank for 10seconds because it's a lot of weight to hold. You're not only fighting against your muscles, but against your own body weight and that pesky thing called gravity. I've gotten very good at letting myself fall without hurting myself when I realize that I've pushed beyond what I can do. I does lead to some rather funny situations at the gym sometimes and a lot of eye-rolling from my personal trainer (trying weighted squats with dumbbells for the first time with a fitness ball and a wall for stability was hilarious...) I'm now at 85kg and I can keep a plank for nearly indefinitely if I remain static. So I'm starting to work on dynamic planks and those are killers!2 -

Thanks lady @ladyreva78 I appreciate the encouraging words.yes I'm having to modify the planks, but I'm doing it and am proud of my persistance.i shake wen I'm done with my wrkout.

Is anyone else doing 2 sets a day of the Love Handles challenge? It says to do 2 sets for week 1-3 and 3 sets for week 4 and 5 (didn't realise there were 5 weeks in February haha), or have I got this wrong?
