Good morning all! Happy Thursday! I got in my walk this morning and added a 1 1/2 minute plank at the end. Yea! As far as delivering our May Baskets yesterday??!! Let's just say, we didn't get far. Three of the kids had a MAJOR meltdown over the fact that we were giving the cookies away; even though we had plenty more to take home. SO...we will try delivery again today. If not, I will have to deliver them myself.
Re-Congrats on Onederland! Yea, YOU!
Whoops! Here comes the first of my kiddos! Ta! KJ5 -
Re Fabulous that you are in Onederland! That is a major victory! And although you say "no May goals" you actually do have one...not gaining any weight this month. Practicing maintenance at any weight is a great mental and behavioral exercise, and can be very beneficial as you go forward. Lots of people lose for awhile, maintain for awhile, then lose for awhile, etc. It helps break the mindset of "dieting", because maintenance isn't the same as going back to the way you were eating before. You know all of this, of course, but reminding you also helps to remind me!

Call me crazy but I love to see other people happy and succeeding .
Hello My Dear Friends,
I returned from my cruise last Saturday and things have been quite hectic since then. This was all due to family problems with my cruise buddy. She left yesterday to return to San Antonio and I had hoped to get back to something of a normal life. I rarely have much drama but this morning has me in a knot. My DD is returning home to Myrtle Beach after spending the past three years in Oregon. She is driving with her great Dane and so far it’s been slow going because of road conditions, etc. Now she has reached Missouri and we are trying to figure out a safe route for her to avoid flooded highways. The pictures on the news are so scary. She spent the night north of Kansas City and would normally go through St Louis, but that is not looking good. We are both researching every web site we can but nothing looks promising. For those of you that pray, I’d appreciate your prayers that the Lord brings her home safely.
We had a wonderful time on the cruise. My birthday was great and of course the waiters sang Happy Birthday to me in the restaurant. And brought me the sugar free dessert that was on the menu that night. lol It was terrible, but we had all finished our desserts by then anyway. lol The weather was fantastic, if not even too hot. And I love hot weather. I won a little in the Casino which is very exciting for a non-gambler like me. I did gain weight and need to get my act together and go back to my way of eating and exercising that I did when I lost the 70 pounds. It’s the beginning of our new year in the Women of the Moose and I’m very busy with that.
I have missed you all so very much. I think of you daily and have read what I can to catch up. I won’t respond to anyone specific but will say that I always wish you the best that life has to offer. Congrats to those with victories and (((Hugs))) to all that want or need them. I love the baby pictures!!! Just love them!
to all the Newbies. Come often and join in the chat. This thing works!! Please sign your post with what you want to be called. It makes it easier for us to respond to you. Also a location is great, be it specific or general. We are happy to have you join us.
Sending love, good thoughts and sunshine to all of you.
I Love you

Happy Thursday Peeps!!
OK, here's my first complaint about it being too hot... got into the low 80's yesterday - not really a big deal - except our house has a big southern exposure and soon becomes a furnace. We went to turn on the A/C and of course it's kaput.
DH kept running it tho in hopes it would "kick on" - all it did was suck hot air from the ducts in the attic and super heat the house. I got grumpy. So right now all the windows are open, fans going and we are pulling in 55f air. Another 80 degree day today but back into the 50's tomorrow.
Every year we have the HVAC guy come out and give it the once-over so looks like it's time again. Last year it pooped out on our first 90 degree day which was early April. DH says "nothing derails a Trane like trying to get the blasted thing to work!" LOL.
We will survive just fine.
Greenhouse got up to 100f yesterday so tomatoes got to come out and bask in the shade most of the day under a tree (I have 35 of them). Will set them out again today of course; hoping to put some growth on them for the Plant Sale next weekend.
Was nice to relax outside tho and see all of the bees and pollinators in action on the fruit trees. Check this out:
Last summer we had bald-face hornets move in to work over our grapes. Some of the nastiest stingers known to man. BUT I got an idea to put out a dish of sugar water about 50' away from the arbor to lure them away from the grapes and it worked! They didn't get riled up or anything.... I was ready with the benedryl. Managed to get quite a few picked in the cool of the next morning before they became active again.
Karen in VA - I read the sad story and we are so tenderhearted with little critters like that as well. Olivia is a peach and what a cute sundress. Does she have any lasting effects at all from her fragile beginning? Cute grandma card!
Kelly - way to go on the plank! Home-made pretzels -- you rock. Do you let the kids "help" you in the kitchen?
Katiebug - impressive workout!
Joyce - how touching that grandma passed at her quilting table, very fitting. Sounds like she was a sweet and giving person and how nice your mom was able to finish quilts she'd started.
Re - way to go! Onderland!!! Very proud of you - you had a lot going on this past month with the potential job change and all.... I could easily stress on a few additional pounds over something like that!
Ok, better run for now. Need to head into town early for groceries then back to call the HVAC guy.
Have a great day all! Welcome Newbies!

Goals? What a novel idea! Maybe that's what I needed for motivation. Newbie or possibly returning group member. Still maintaining a 40 lb weight loss after 4 years - but it used to be 50, so need to diligent. Gale (WY)4

Hi friends. I am a nervous Nellie today because DH has an appointment with the attorney at 5:30 tonight. He thinks it is to discuss bargaining strategies but I am worried the lawyer already has the best deal he could get and we will be left to say yes or no. My stomach is in knots.
I need an ultrasound; had a bit of bleeding. My doctor tried an endometrial biopsy yesterday without much success (lots of scarring there) so that is the next step.
Dana: I hope you are safe in all the storms.
TNToni: what a mess! How can an insurance company decide what dose of drug to be on?
Heather: I think I missed your story about the outburst but I hope it works out in the end.
Becca: I agree with Lisa! Hubby may set a new fashion trend. Sending get well wishes!
Peach: omg what a cutie in that tie!
Lenora: I am so glad in this house we have a concrete back porch instead of wood. I got so tired of power washing, refinishing and staining it!
Joyce: I loved your quilting story…so sweet
Karen: sending you (((hugs))). The baby is a doll.
Jag: welcome to our group!
Katla: power washing is so tiring! See above…I am so happy with my concrete patio!
Sharon: I agree with you! These people are not helpful! I called to get a new GYN and was told she is not taking new patients, so I asked who else could see me (this in a practice of 10) and was told “I really don’t know”. Good grief.
Re: good plan! Congrats on reaching onederland!
Grandmallie: maybe your nightmare was about stress?
DJ: Welcome back! I’m glad you had a wonderful time
OK well it’s time to get to work! Have a good day all. Take care, Meg from Omaha

Morning everyone. It is French taxes day for me so I will be quick.
Re: Congratulations on make onederland!
Sharon: I think it is wrong that people cannot freely choose their own doctors. Finding one you can relate to is so important to the health process!
Welcome to everyone who is new!

Good morning!
More rain is forecast for Arkansas. OMG, it has been raining for 2 days! We had lightning all day yesterday. It was crazy! The TV dish was knocked off and on but is back on. NE Arkansas is flooding badly. A levee broke in several places so it's bad. Even down here where we are hilly there was flooding.
Lanette I love your Bee picture! Those AWW are downright mean creatures. I was stung underneath my arms when I moved a hanging basket not knowing the little AWW's where hiding out in it! They really hurt!!
I hope you get your A/C repaired quickly. We have ceiling fans in every room of the house, so with some iced tea and a breeze 80* feels like heaven!!
GaleWY Welcome back! Sounds like you have been maintaining fairly well!
KarenVA Baby Olivia is so precious! Very squeezable!! Love, love, love!
Kelly Homemade pretzels sound so yummy! I guess you make them from bread dough?
Have a great day, I'm posting a picture of Dolly looking towards the woods.
Much love, Dana in Arkansas

Heather: I hope things go well with the conversation with the estate agent. It sounds like your assumption is likely correct. Keep us in the loop. (((hugs)))
Sharon in Lethbridge: I'm sending healing and peaceful thoughts your way to help you get the medical situation sorted out. I can't understand why they won't assign you to someone while your doctor is "out." Exhausted, frustrated and bitter are sensible feelings. So is anger. I hope you get a solution soon. :flowerforyou:
Re: Welcome to Onederland!!!!!!!!!
Karen in VA: Love the photo of Olivia! Keep 'em coming!
Lanette: We fired the company that used to service our AC. We haven't had it on yet this season and I wonder whether we need to look for someone. It is about twenty. Next year we can serve it alcohol.
Gale in WY: Welcome or welcome back! :flowerforyou:
I have an appointment with the President of the HA in just under half an hour. He appointed a new resident to supervise the landscapers and she's turned into a bully. We are the second longest residents in the community and I am offended that someone who has lived here less than 10 months has the power to criticize my plants, roll her eyes at me and stick something into my view that I dislike, despite my telling her that I didn't want it done. I am usually peaceful and able to get along with people but at this point I'm an angry bird.

do you want me to go kick her *kitten* for you?6 -
Hi all,
Katla - Our vendor has made an offer on a place she likes and is being pressurised by their agents. She has been incredibly patient, but needs to sell. For the moment she is holding out for us. DH rang our agents to tell them to get their finger out. Sorry about the bossy busybody.
Just paid the balance on our August cruise and booked the same table we had as last year.
Re - Fantastic job! Make sure you reward yourself
Meg - (((HUGS)))
I went out to lunch in my red dress and told my nice friend I did not want to have any more reunions with my difficult friend. She was quite upset, but I have to protect myself. I am simply not able to put up with her self deceiving nonsense. The nice friend had emailed the difficult friend explaining why we find her difficult and suggesting she went for therapy. The reply was a tirade, as expected. My nice friend's view is that she is really quite mentally disturbed and we should ignore it or try to help. I don't feel able to do either right now.
I managed to eat two slimming salads and had one preplanned small spritzer. One and a half units. My stickers arrived today, so I think that merits a smiley. My gold stars for AF days haven't arrived yet.
My elder son is still anxious and depressed. His only comfort is the dogs. Feel a bit helpless there. He seems to be getting more circumscribed in his lifestyle. No job, no money etc.
Sea bass and asparagus tonight.
I got my whole 600 calories exercise in this morning, but stressed my arm in the process. Grrrrrrrrrr! It is taking me well over 2 hrs without the rower. I burnt 50 calories walking to and from the polling station to cast my vote for the local council election.
