@nFoooo Has your doctor/PT given the all-clear? It does sound like you should do a test run, but I don't know the background.
Went to doctor who scheduled a scan which happened 3-4 weeks later and now the radiologist will contact my doctor in like another 3 weeks so it's a bit of an annoying situation. The smartest thing to do would be to wait another 3 weeks but I feel really good. I went for a 1 KM test jog and it felt great, I might try another test 1 KM tomorrow and then build from there.
@nFoooo You've been out of action for 6 weeks?That's awesome the test jog went well! You could be all better.

@scarlet67 Welcome to the group!
@PastorVincent Yeah, I think he did it for a book and then stopped, which is a shame because it was great.
It was raining this morning when I first got up, which means that the temperature was cooler (73F) but the dew point was at 72F, so that meant a nice sticky sweat-filled run was on the cards. And today is my high intensity day too...oh how I so wanted to be up and out that door! But I did, and managed to spend 71% of my time at the low end of Garmin's Z4, with the rest of the time in the zones leading up that as I warmed up.
The good news is that if I do another five-miler this weekend, I'll definitely hit my target this month, barring anything interfering with my remaining planned runs of course.

Well, I didn't get up early like planned- I just turned off my alarm and went back to sleep. Finally got out of bed at 7:10 and was out the door by 7:35. Thankfully the wild thunderstorm yesterday evening and night cooled things off. It was 75 degrees and cloudy.
My husband leaves for a trip for the next 4 weeks. What a bummer. It makes tackling my long runs more difficult. Oh well. I may have to break them up - do a 90 min run early, then finish off the rest in the evening or on the treadmill.

Welcome @Arctic_Chick ! We love newbies here!3 -
Just went to order a new pair of the Vomero 12s, and find that they're now available in all black. So I ordered two pairs instead, because y'know, I want to wear the same shoes that Batman would wear when he goes out for a run.

Had a busy biking weekend! Exactly 100 miles. 34 on Sat and 66 on Sun. I won't bore all you runners with the biking stories but just imagine this. We had 1 stop - at mile 30 -- in the Fl heat. And they said there would be drinks and food. There was water - but not very cold and not enough for everyone. The food was 2 bags of pretzels and a bag of peanuts (not a big bag either). What?! Since when do athletes eat pretzels? I don't mean to complain because this was a free ride (all ladies ride) from a small bike shop and I will definitely give them business. But, I won't do the ride next year. Talk about dehydration! I drank 4 16oz bottles and was completely out of water with 15 miles left to go.
Anyway, had a nice easy 5 miles this morning. My legs were feeling tight from all that bike riding. But, it felt so great to run!!! It was really hot/humid this morning and so I decided to weigh myself before and after run. Lost 2.5 pounds of sweat. Ate a ton of watermelon (yay! summer watermelon!) upon arrival back home.
