Weird things you do with food

I guess I’m not that weird! My husband thinks I am but I think he’s just picky. I put refried beans in my eggs. It’s good.1

I don't really have any food quirks but I have a thing where I can't have foods on a plate touching each other where they'll get mixed together lol. I know it sounds so OCDish I see people at buffets load foods ontop of each other where it's all mixed together lol I just can't do it I'm so picky lol , also I can only deal with small amount of salad dressings too much makes the salad too wet, salty and wilted for me0

I put ketchup on pizza and I thought that was totally normal until my friends freaked out about it hahaha0

Husband makes the most bizarro combinations and each time he thinks it's a stroke of genius. Insists that I try it... I always try it... omfg it's gross to me every time. If he smoked.... green.... it would make sense lol. I wish I could remember examples but it's different every time. Random leftover foods plus random cheese plus 2 or 3 random sauces microwaved is basically his formula. The stinkier the better. Oh, like the time he put leftover curry in a tortilla with swiss cheese and then put ranch on it. X(
I guess I've just given up any right I may have had to claim that I am weird. Foodwise, I seem to be the most basic of normies.0 -
- Cook dry pasta
- Put it in a bowl, put butter on it, and then let it go lukewarm
- Add salt and pepper
- Put Kraft Parmesan Cheese all over the top
- Pour lemon juice on top of that, and work to get the right proportion so that the cheese and lemon forms a kind of paste that sticks to the pasta
- Enjoy
That's 90% of my dinners, and has been since I was a kid. People look at me like I'm crazy, but guess who won't be getting scurvy? (and who has a lot of cavities because something something constant ingestion of undiluted lemon juice from concentrate woops)3 -

It's just fusion cooking! Ask him if he wants to start a food truck.

I use to do the same as a kid especially if u get the stuffed pasta. . Nom!1 -
I dip my pizza in ranch.
I LOVE ketchup on my eggs. But I don't know if that's very weird or not.
My husband is the weird one. haha He will only eat his tuna fish sandwiches with miracle whip and you have to also put it on the bread, not just mix it together.
His ham sandwiches have to have cheese. His turkey sandwiches cannot have cheese. haha.2 -
Mayo and Mustard mixed for Chic-fil-a fries
peanut butter in mac and cheese
and I consider almost all food to be finger food (well at least at home i do)0 -

I've always done the bolded and never occurred to me that it was weird.

No sauce on my pizza
Peanut butter on waffles/pancakes/French toast
Pickles and olives only on my turkey and cheese subs
Cayenne pepper on eggs, it anything that needs spiciness0 -
Microwaved M&Ms. The chocolate melts a little and the shells become more brittle.5

I crunched up pork rinds on halo top the other night as a crunchy topping...
I also dipped some pork rinds in butter lol
I have a curious palate....2 -
I can't eat sweet and salty at the same time...except for bacon/sausage with pancakes/waffles. They're yummy dipped in the syrup. I don't like milk unless it's a freshly opened carton. Then I can have a bowl of cereal, but only one. Then the milk smells and tastes weird to me. I don't like eggs unless they are hard boiled or scrambled dry. I just can't do the runny egg thing. And I have a hard time watching anyone else eat runny eggs.
The other night I wanted something sweet but not chocolate, so I got a handful of Honey Smacks cereal. Then I had a handful of shredded cheese to get the sweet taste out of my mouth. I was told I was weird then.
My bestie eats her homemade enchiladas over cottage cheese. Her husband made me a plate like that and no...just can't do it. She also likes only thick-cut french fries with mayo, not ketchup. She has her kids doing that now too.0 -
I used to like to eat frozen French fries.

In general, I will always eat the least appetising thing first and work through to tastiest, and I get really conflicted when I can't decide which is the most delicious.
Ha! I do that too!0 -

I too love peanut butter and pickle sandwiches.
Have you ever tried almond butter and pickle sandwiches? They are AMAZING.0 -
I look at it as a number now....damn you MyFitnessPal lol1

I used to take toaster waffles and make sandwiches out of them. Like a PB&J for example. The weirdest one was a waffle fluffernutter where I would take peanut butter, marshmallow cream, and Nutella and put that all on a toasted waffle. It was a great breakfast for a high school kid on the go, lol. I don't want to think about the sugar and calorie content of that one...3

In same vane I like baked potatoes with steak blood instead of butter.
I like salads with just red or basalmic vinegar and no oil.
I put worchestershire sauce on my french fries, seriously this is not weird you need to do it immediately.
Sometimes I make a balsamic dressing with switched up ratios than normal. I can go without oil myself but guests like at least some. I do 3 parts balsamic vinegar and 1 part olive oil. Then I toss in dried basil and a little dried oregano, salt and pepper. Have to mix it each time it's used. Only need a little for a punch of flavor. People beg me to make it.
My weird food thing is a sandwich with really fresh white bread slathered with soft, salted fresh butter and a piece of thick bologna. Butter and bologna together is amazing.
Another is a cheese pizza with light sauce and a little thicker crust. Right when it comes out of the oven put slices of fresh avocado on top. Decadent. To die for. So many calories.3 -

Ketchup on poutine, which apparently americans dont have...just get fries, gravy, and cheese and put them together and you'll see what all the fuss is about eh!1

If I have cake and ice cream I mush it together into a slurry.
I eat my pancakes with honey or peanut butter, no syrup.
Pickles on my pulled pork.
If I eat leftovers I never heat them up.
