Wish I would have read this at the beginning. Can't it be set up as something to read for beginners. Maybe in the introduce yourself section...All Beginners Read this First!!!. Truly would have made much more sense and I would have understood more about spreading my meals out as well as not limitimg carbs but positioning the consumtion of complex carbs to just before a workout so they will be available for energy instead of being wasted an turning into fat instead.
This site has so much valuable information, Thank you so much to everyone who contributes.0 -

So Banks would this be true even for us who have had gastric, cause I have always(well since surgury) been able to limit my food intake and excerise and matain my weight, but this is the first time(I gave birth) since surgury that I'm trying to lose weight that I have put back on (cause of having a baby)?0

Well, I'm no doctor, any advice I give is purely amateur.
That being said, I don't see why not, in fact it should lend itself to it. I'm not sure what types of limitations specifically come with the surgury (I.E. activity, food, patterns...etc) but within the parameters it should still be the same.
From my understanding the gastric bypass limits the amount of food you can eat at one time. This should help you to create a food plan based around small, frequent, very nutritious foods, which is what I advocate all the time. So I don't see why it wouldn't work for you. Plus doing it this way will teach you that
A) food is fuel, not a fallback option for every time something goes wrong in life.
and
every time you eat you need to think about the nutritional elements of food and what the pros and cons are.0 -
This was really helpful, thanks - bump!0

If I embroidered, I'd put that on a pillow.

Thanks for the reminder..... it's easy to get caught up in limiting calorie intake and forget that "food is acutally fuel" for your body, not the answer to life's disappointments!!
