Bumping this post for those that have read my most recent post. This is the thread I initally made when I first reached my Final Goal of 100 lbs loss. I have came back to it from time to time to post updates in the comments. So if you scroll through you will see updated pictures.
Last Sunday marked 2 years since I have maintained my 100 lb loss.
There was a time I never would have shared THIS before picture. I shared it on Facebook for the first time about six months ago. I was so self conscious of how I looked, even after the loss. I had already lost 12.4 lbs when I took the picture. The picture on the right was taken 3 months ago and I’m close to the same now. I am currently about 152.2 lbs and have a little more muscle mass.
I share this picture because it allows a true visual of my lifestyle change. I took progress pictures frequently and I always recommend it anytime someone reaches out to me. Progress pictures show change when the scale may not.
I share this to motivate and inspire. I had the naysayers and I was faced with the negative comments even after I lost 100 lbs. One that I vividly remember was “Will it Last”?
I share this in hopes that I can help someone improve their quality of life the way I have. Ex. 20 miles of biking consecutively this past Sunday morning! I can guarantee that would never have happened for me at 260 lbs.
I share this because someone needs to see it today.
It will hurt. It will take time. It will require dedication. It will require willpower. You will need to make healthy decisions. It requires sacrifice. You will need to push your body to the max. There will be temptation. BUT, I promise you when you reach GOAL... It's Worth It!!

Just updating my original Success Story Update. I continue to share my story from time to time in hopes of motivating someone who might be needing it. I visited the Success Stories message board frequently when I was losing weight. It helped me in so many ways.
I have maintained my more than 100 lb loss for more than two years and I have actually dropped more weight. I am currently 149.6 lbs. My lowest recorded weight was last Saturday morning, 148 lbs. Since reaching maintenance back in Sept of 2017, I have taken my weekends off eating more freely and up until recently I wasn't getting any exercise in over the weekends either. Come Monday morning I get right back to my more healthier lifestyle - eating & exercising. I have been able to maintain my loss this way.... but in a sense it keeps me in weight loss mode. I enjoy my weekends 'off' so to speak, but I don't gorge myself. I don't go crazy. You will have to find what method works best for you, but this has been a perfect match for me.
Here are some more current photos....

I shared this picture yesterday with my MFP friends. Since losing my weight, I have found a passion for trying to help others reach their weight loss goals. I wish there was more I could do to help others reach their weight loss goals. Anyway, that is why I continue to share my own progress photos in hope of encouraging and motivating someone who is on the boards needing that extra push today. I know there are days you just want to give up. I know you have times when you wonder what is the point? I understand you will have times when you wonder if it is worth the blood, sweat & tears. YES!! It is worth it. It is all worth it. YOU are worth it!!
I made lifestyle changes and have maintained my more than 100 lb loss for over 2 years now.

I'm so very impressed! Teach me your ways! I'm 43, 251lbs and in desperate need of guidance. There are so many different nutritional plans its ridiculous. What did you change about your diet? Did you count calories? Macros? Carbs? Help!0
