We hired someone to come clean a few months ago, she's made it 2 maybe 3 times. My daughter said she complains that our house is dirty, which is why she's not coming and offers excuses to not show up. Haha! Duh its dirty. And if you showed up more, it wouldn't be so dirty.
Looks like I'll be phoning the Merry Maids. They won't complain.
Wait... do people with ALREADY CLEAN houses hire people to clean for them? Where can I sign up for that easy money?

I actually ran with this guy in my Dartmoor running weekend. Only annoyed that I was so far behind I didn't get the chance to talk to him much.2 -

I passed my goal and doubled my mileage from Sept and Oct, but I was sorta hoping to hit 50 as a stretch goal. Didn't make it but maybe next month Just posting this early because I'm pretty sure I'm done for the month unless I happen to be free tomorrow evening, in which case would it be insane to run 5 miles when my max so far in my comeback is 3.5? I haven't run 5 miles since spring. LOL
@elise4270 I think you're supposed to get your house super clean first and then the housekeeper just maintains it Sorry to hear of your/Alex's struggles. So sad. Poor guy and poor you too. Hang in there!2 -

T-minus 11 days until Marathon. The weather report is now predicting a 20% chance of rain. It is NOT allowed to rain. I also woke up this morning with a twinge in my hip, 5 sneezes, and a severe case of hypochondria. I work with kids so I plan to bath myself in hand sanitizer every chance I get today. The cute little Petri dishes are all exuding this time of year.
157/175 (November goal miles)
Upcoming Races:
12/10 = BCS Marathon
1/6/18 = River Road Run Half Marathon2 -
@Elise4270 so sorry to hear of your family woes. hopefully with the right diagnosis and beginnings of treatment for Alex things can start to improve. Also good you have 'positive' results from your MRI. I say 'positive' because although it's not great at least you know it's not all in your head.
as to the cleaning, I'd always panic with a cleaner coming that I'd need to clean up beforehand. This probably goes back to my university days where a group of us were saving a half full jug of milk left out on the side as a forfeit one day. The cleaner got to it first. I felt really guilty as she was lovely and always went above and beyond what anyone should do in a university hall of residence...0 -

@Elise4270 I am keeping Alex and you (and your family) in my prayers. I also was diagnosed with bipolar back in 2007 and it's no picnic. If you need to talk, please do not hesitate to PM me.2

@PastorVincent you are 100% correct!
@amymoreorless you should consider bathing in Lysol, kids are little germs in cute faces. Plenty of time for the weather to change again...and again....and again.1 -
Yesterday was a rest day as my legs were really sore from 7(!) straight days of running. And I also had to go see the psych doctor. Thank goodness, I'm staying where I am with meds, nothing new this time. I finally feel a bit more stable. Anxiety comes and goes, but it's more manageable. Today it's back on the hamster wheel, I mean treadmill. Been watching The Great British Baking Show on Netflix and I'm totally hooked. Makes the miles fly by.10

Thanks for your kind words..
This house cleaner isn't so great.. unfortunately. We never clean up before she comes. I don't wanna vacuum or do toilets... 20-25$ an hour to clean seems very lucrative. She can get it. I kinda think this one wants to clean up after those that already clean.0 -

Thanks. I will definitely keep that in mind. Hopefully he'll have his meds lined out for he most part, and I can help from there. He drinks too much and I believe that a major factor in this learning period he's experiencing.0 -

Between my daughter coming home from college and catching a nasty cold, I missed more than 30 pages! Just got my log caught up. Not sure I'll ever get caught up on everyone else, but finally starting to come out of the fog a bit. My runs this week have definitely been sluggish, but I'm hoping that's just working through the cold. So far, nothing in the lungs yet and no fever--just stuffy and sneezy with occasional headache.
Ten days to the HM! So far the weather is holding up--nothing blizzard-like forecasted so far (knock wood) and temps in the 30s. That's pretty consistent with my early morning runs, so hopefully I've been inadvertently training in race temps! I'm fully prepared to whip out the winter clothes for this run even if turns out to be a *kitten* show. I have one more long run ahead of me before the small taper. Since I had to elongate the training schedule to meet the race timing, my long run is actually 2 miles longer than what is on the suggested plan, but exactly the mileage on the next training plan up from mine (doing Hal Higdon Novice 1 HM). Part of me feels like I need to run 12 miles to know that my next long run is naturally 13(.1) miles, but part of me knows I'll be able to do it, so maybe a more conservative long run this Saturday would be good since I'm nursing a cold and it's my first HM. I'll know Saturday for sure.

And I just added everything up...91.7 miles for this month (I have a rest day tomorrow). My goal was 60. Not sure how I figured 60 since I had a very prescribed plan this month. Maybe I'm filled with self-doubt.3

I have a free 3000mah one that has built-in solar charger that I got at some giveaway, and I have this one:
Jackery Giant+ 12000mAh Dual USB Output Battery Pack
But I am probably going to be getting this one:
ZeroLemon ToughJuice V3.0 30000mAh
Though the second one is USB-C so I would have to get some different cables to use it. 30,000 is massive and would charge most phones to full at least 10 times. An option would be:
Anker PowerCore 26800 Portable Charger
Which is slightly smaller (maybe 8 full charges), but at least standard USB.0 -

Ran 3 tough miles this morning.
Monday I had the bright idea to do a strength training dvd. It felt like nothing. Yesterday I was kind of sore, and after a terrible night's sleep, decided to have a rest day. This morning I got up and was even more sore. I kicked myself all the way to the track and ran anyway. Not sure if I want to do that dvd again or not. Hmmm.4 -
