He was asked to share details of his eating disorder. If he had a privacy concern, he would of said that he did not feel comfortable, however he didn't, he did write something but it did not describe an eating disorder in the least. Since you really are convinced Gale is correct in his claims, by his posts, i want you to point out the same level of details i have given about my own eating disorder.
I just want to say that I really appreciate your candor and bravery in this thread.
I do see a lot of frustration in that log, but did it show that you ate 2150kcals for the day? That does not seem like binge levels to me. It may be too much for weight loss for a shorter women but not a ton of calories. No?
Now you are telling the woman, who has shared some of her deepest darkest secrets here for strangers to read in the hopes that it will help someone - that you don't think what she described is that bad? It doesn't matter what the calories were. What matters is that she was out of control That she was trying desperately NOT to eat and she could not do it. Read the words that she wrote to herself. Try to imagine her pain, her shame, her fear, her anger at herself. Now tell her again that you don't think it's a big deal. You have sunk to a new low in trying to rationalize your advice and trivializing her experiences. You ought to be ashamed of yourself.
I'm trying to understand what she is saying/experiencing. First you all say someone who eats a little desert doesn't have BED then I ask if this is still BED while not eating that many calories and I get reamed that way! Unbelievable.
It's not about the foods or the calories it is about the lack of control. The sheer self-hatred and the compulsion to do what you know you shouldn't that is so strong as to be crying while continuing to eat. Commenting about how it's not that bad, can be triggering for some.
Your lack of understanding is apparent. Striving to understand it is one thing. It is the utter lack of compassion and the dismissive attitude towards the suffering that is completely baffling to me. The refusal to consider that others might have a point when several have said how they are perceiving your words and yet continuing to post in the same manner. I can only surmise that you are somehow getting enjoyment out of the attention.13 -

FFS, Kriss has shared in graphic detail what some of her binges have consisted of, way, way over what that day in her diary happened to be. I'm guessing that was actually one of her 'better' days, in terms of keeping cals down, and it STILL shows the utter anguish she was going through mentally for her to achieve that. Of course it's still *kitten* BED. Just like if I had managed to make it until 11pm without binging and purging, instead of my usual multiple times a day, it was STILL bulimia. Even if I somehow made it through a whole day, even two, even a month, IT WAS STILL AN EATING DISORDER. Eating a *kitten* banana split after dinner isn't.
You have no *kitten* idea.

Through insights, honest, bare, accountable, real life perspectives of eating disorders, you CONTINUE to offer advice best left ALONE. you are not learning, you are being defensive and argumentative and must have the last say. I have no idea about what these women have been through, and thank u for your strength to share such personal details, but have cared for teen anorexic patients. NEVER does any appropriate health professional competent in treatment for ED restict foods or eating, or create a fast, showing that its ok to starve yourself.

The best Part was when He dismissed several Resources for eating disorders because they're not all-knowing, therefore His idea is valid.6

I do have something to say to this but I was busy yesterday and I'm about to start work in a few min and don't have time to type out a reply on a tiny phone.
But expect me to explain my log. The calories. The emotional background behind the writing and the difference between my binge eating before and my eating in those logs before being diagnosed.
Then expect me to comment on why your method of trying to understand my experience and binge eating disorder as a whole is more offensive then a personal Inquiry for educational purposes.
