Today!
-stay in calorie goal
ummm I think that is my only goal today lol - I've been working out a bit too hard so I'm taking the weekend off from the gym - lookin to relax!4 -
I lost track of time today, doing too much for other people and didn't get to exercise at all, but at least I made sure to eat well, I'm a lean green queen
My 1st goal: to log everything I ate on MFP for 30 days without missing a day - Done
And the scales were kind to me:
01) 95.5kg (210 lbs)
30) 90kg (199 lbs) - Onederland!
I'm very happy with the numbers going in the right direction but it's not a noticeable change (yet)
My next 30 day goal is to continue MFP logging everyday with an added challenge to stay green with sugars.
Day 31:
limit kj
limit sugars
avoid gluten and dairy
exercise at least 1.5hr - make time for yourself!
Repeat after Rupaul: "If you can't love yourself, how the hell you gonna love somebody else?!"4 -
@acrylicfox Way to log and big congrats on the loss! Don't be so hard on yourself. 11 pounds in a month is fantastic!4

@Bex953172 I haven't seen her post in a few days. I hope nothing is wrong.
@acrylicfox Awesome loss! That is terrific! Onederland! Congratulations!
@bcTRAI That sucks that you're sick again! I hope it's a quick one this time! Dont push yourself too hard!
So I got an acupuncture treatment done by Godmom(a 20-year experienced Acupuncturist). It's been a while since she's done one on me and she says that I am in a completely different place then I was 10 years ago. It was great that everything was so much better! I'm having her doing some treatments to loosen up the super tight muscles in my neck. She gave me a few tricks to do at home as well. So I'm gonna do them until I see her next. We are going to make it a weekly thing. I cant tell you how happy I am that she is so close again! I know I say this all the time. But every time I come home from her house or just seeing her, I feel so much better. She is so good for my spirit. Lol. She's cooking a special birthday dinner for my DH next Sunday. She can't wait to see him again. I usually go over there when he is working. It's going to be a little different when I start at the bank. But I will do this as long as I can.
I didn't hear from the bank today, but it is Saturday. So we'll see what happens on Monday.3 -

Had a great day. Washed the sheets today so I have to make the bed before I can climb into it! Lol. Have nothing much to do tomorrow. Not sure if I am going to go to church or just listen to a teaching that I have on my laptop. Actually, I think that's a really good idea. I'll be the only one in my family at the service tomorrow and for some reason that makes me feel out of place.

Didn’t get on here last night to update and set goals for today. Got everything ticked but it’s misleading as there was no calorie goal and there were definitely too many calories consumed! went to bed very late and gave myself permission to ignore the alarm this morning but I guess my body is used to waking up super early as here I am!
- early morning workout (hoping modifications won’t be necessary by tomorrow) ✅
- Batch cooking ✅
- Cafe for homework with the kids ✅
- Sort out my bedroom a bit - clothes need organising ✅
- Try and sort backing track for song for my friend’s wedding ✅
JFT 4/3;
- early exercise
- Stay within calorie goal
- 2ltr+ water
- Early (very early!) night
Have a happy Sunday all x3 -
SO my goals for Tmorrow, March 1st (Wow, can it really be march already!!! So for 2 full months, I have not lost any weight. Time to get serious!!
I can't believe it has been since last thrusday that I got on here!!
It has been a very stressful and busy week, so I have been absent from even getting on here. We are once again having to fill out a ton of paperwork - hoping our daughter is able to stay on disability. I know they review these cases, but it is always scarry, and emotional draining having to answer all these questions. It brings up front how sick our daughter is, and so sad. Our daughter also gets so stressed out and scared when we do this paperwork, but we have enough doctors saying how important the disability is for her, so hopefully all will be OK. If not, I tell her we will deal with it then.
I am also keeping busy sewing on my king size quilt. That is what helps me to keep from worrying too much - it keeps my mind busy. But I just kinda skipped logging food, even thinking about it for that matter .... and my weight shows it! So time to get back on track!
But wow --- I see I missed a lot!! And .... I missed you guys!!! I had to go back FIVE pages just to get caught up!
@OConnell5483 -- hope you are feeling better!! I hope you are taking the time to rest and let yourself feel better before going back to work. I know with a new job it is hard... but they would want you to take good care of yourself.
@Faebert and @HGSmith0920 - I hope the weather starts to get better for you! I feel for anyone in this awful storm! My son lives in Michigan, so he is not getting the worse, but he still had some trees blown over, and school closed because of all the snow! Stay inside ... and hopefully soon the weather will get better!
@Bex953172 - I hope the iron pills are helping you! Take good care of yourself.... your body has gone through a little to get that sweet little girl. And yes ---- I'm going to be watching you --- no excuses anymore to not log your food LOL!!! But ... if you are BFing, I burned calories like crazy then ... and could eat so much! Do you know you are suppose to be eating 1000+ calories a day so little Casey gets enough food! Your weight will come off ... important thing is to eat healthy food, take good care of yourself, and enjoy that precious little doll!
@HGSmith0920 --- what did I miss!!!! Graduating, and a new job!!!!!! SO PROUD OF YOU!!!Congratulations!!!!
@slittlemeister --- great job getting your weight back down!!!! You are inspiring me! I have not only NOT lost any this year, but actually up 4 pounds. So time to get serious! I am so happy for you though --- all your hard work is paying off!
@Saragirl2 - glad to have you back also! I didn't post for 3 days, and I'd totally given up. I know for me, I do need to keep coming on here. The accountability is so important! Plus, the best motivators, and friends, on here!
@mcbeef29 - you are doing great! I especially like your goal of not letting bad weather be an excuse to overeat! Its being aware of what we eat!
@bcTRAI - I hope you feel better soon! So many people sick it seems!
So day 1 for me. I think I may pretend that is just January (and not even going to think about the 2 months I kinda just wasted, weight-wise!).
JFT, SUnday
1. get back to logging everything I eat
2. go to the gym with hubby. I am not looking forward to going in the afternoon, but he is always bugging me to go with him. I'm more a morning person, but I told him I would go with him tomorrow afternoon instead.
3. concentrate on water
4. sew on king size quilt - I can only do this for about 2 hrs, since my arms hurt so much to do much more!
5. work on chemo hats
6. get back on here - be accountable
7. encourage others

OH my gosh!!! That is amazing! I am so happy for you! Congratulations!0 -
@joan6630 so glad to see you post! I was worried!
Today I felt less horrible than yesterday so I am hoping I am turning the corner. They sent me home with some meds when I went to Urgent Care yesterday. Hoping they are kicking in.
I will hop on here in the morning with goals after I see how I’m feeling. I missed everyone so wanted to check in! Xox5 -
@joan6630 Thank you! I'm feeling quite pleased with myself I've found the Beck diet solution really helpful - it might have changed my whole approach to eating! Good luck for dealing with your daughter's affairs - must be very difficult. Thinking of you!0
-
@OConnell5483 hope you keep on getting better! Sending best wishes your way.0
-
@OConnell5483 - glad you’re on the mend and good to see you back @joan6630!
Just had to share a sort of NSV. I woke up super early as I said above, so thought I should work out. Somehow managed to faff about on my phone for ages and then realised I wouldn’t get done before the girls woke up at 7. So decided I wouldn’t exercise, or maybe I would but after I’d spent some time with them. Or maybe I should just have a rest day. But then I won’t be as active today as no walk to work etc and need to drive kids around. I spent over two hours (!!) going back and forth with it in my head!
Then just got on with it! So up before 5am, but finished my workout at 10am.
So is it a NSV or a sign that I am a bit of an idiot who wasted the morning?? Ah well, at least it’s done and I actually quite enjoyed it in the end!6 -

First time posting since I just stumbled across this thread and it seems to go nicely with my five things list that I used to make but got out of the habit.
1. Log all my food
2. Prep veggies for lunches this week
3. Go shopping for new shirts that aren’t black or navy. (I got into a bad rut)
4. Finish lesson plans for Bio class
5. PT stretches.
I am a high school science teacher who is struggling to continue exercising while my ankle is in a boot. I know that losing weight will really help the situation and may help me avoid surgery. I gained back 35 of the 60 lbs that I lost 4 years ago this school year being sidelined with an injury and a health issue. Steroids are simultaneously the best and worst thing ever!!! Finished having to take them last month and got serious about losing weight and being active even if it isn’t while on my feet.7 -
Today’s goal
1. Sell Gecko colony
2. Complete headsuphealth
3. Bible study
4. Cook keto for rest of week6 -
Even though I posted my goals last nite, I am adding a few more and also reminding myself. I need to get out my Beck Diet Solution book again (Thanks @slittlemeister for reminding me of that - I am so happy it is working for you!).
JFT, SUnday

2. go to the gym with hubby. I am not looking forward to going in the afternoon, but he is always bugging me to go with him. I'm more a morning person, but I told him I would go with him tomorrow afternoon instead.

4. sew on king size quilt - I can only do this for about 2 hrs, since my arms hurt so much to do much more!
5. work on chemo hats
6. get back on here - be accountable
7. cut up the veggies so I have healthy snacks ready
8. make hard boiled eggs and have them ready
9. GET OUT AND START READING AGAIN BECK DIET SOLUTION. Make new response cards.
10. be mindful of what I eat -- eat slowly, and actually enjoy my food.
11. Plan the dinners for the week. Makes this so much easier when things are planned - why do I keep forgetting this.
12. encourage others
13. get back on here - be accountable

Your goals really struck me - especially about being patient, and don't expect a weight loss miracle! I learn so much reading everyone's posts. Oh .... and smile! Love that.
Hope you have a great day!

I am going to post my goals and weight every Sunday - I think this day will work better for me as far as weighing. I have to keep reminding myself of how far I have come, and I don't want to go backwards.
GOALS:
Starting weight Jan 1, 2017: 217
Starting weight Jan 1, 2018: 195.5
1st goal weight:175
2nd goal weight: 170
(5'11" tall, 66 years old)
Progress so far - year 2017:
Jan 1: 217
Feb 1: 211
March 1: 205.4
April 1: 202.6
May 1: 204.6
June 1: 200.4
July 1: 199.2
August 1: 195.6
Sept 1: 192.8
October 1: 191.8
November 1: 187.7
December 1: 187.0
2018:
January 1, 2018: 194.5
Feb 1, 2018: 190.2
March 1, 2018: 193.6
weekly weigh-ins every sunday:
March 4: 194.6 -- this is what happens with a week of not logging, eating whatever I want, and just not caring.
March Goals
1. GET UNDER the 190s!!! Even if it is only 189 ---- but get out of the 190s. Todays weight was 193.6, so this is doable.
2. try to consistently log my food 5x a week...... and try to stay under calorie goals at least 4-5x a week.
3. work hard on getting in my water - 8 cups, at least 5x a week.
4. I have incorporated going to the gym as a habit not, but it is also a habit I could easily break if I am not careful. So for this month again, go to the gym 5x a week minimum

@acrylicfox Way to log and big congrats on the loss! Don't be so hard on yourself. 11 pounds in a month is fantastic!
and "HGSmith0920"
Thank you!
I really am happy with the reduction, I just mean I wasn't expecting much change on the scale, as I can't see it in the mirror yet,
I'd LOVE to claim I met my weight loss goal for the month but I decided not to make any kind of number/scale based goals as my failings include: no patience, a short attention span and tending to get disappointed easily, leading to giving up.
This time 'round I want my goals to be things which are within my absolute control, and even the most consistent efforts don't necessarily result in correspondingly regular weight loss,
so I'm focusing on behaviors and habits
Well, I'm prattling on, it's nice to talk about this and get it down on... paper4 -
@joan6630 so glad to see you back on this thread! You're an anchor (no pressure ). I hope all goes well with your daughter's review. Every year at my DD IEP meeting, it's really a hard blow to hear what her disabilities are without the filter. It can be pretty harsh. I spend so much time trying to be positive but the school board has to present the data.
@OConnell5483 I hope you're over your cough-I was getting yearly coughs that I couldn't seem to shake until the Dr. prescribed an inhaler to be used as needed & it's helped tremendously for relief in my lungs.
@Bex953172 hope you can get in some short naps throughout the day. I craved juice like crazy while BFing.
Read through most of the posts over the past few days (we lost internet b/c of storm). So many of you have inspiring posts!!
All activities were cancelled this weekend but I did get to go to my Sunday School Art class today-fun!
School cancelled for kids tomorrow b/c they don't have power-make some plans.
Walk dog later today.
Taking kids to grandparents to visit.
Meditate 25 mins this afternoon
Listen to a podcast & read for inspiration.
Drink water-64oz min.
Track all my meals today.
Low carb/high protein. goal 150 grams.
Didn't go shopping yesterday so HAVE to go today.
Make chicken, tuna & egg salads.
Prep some chopped veggies.
Defrost meat in fridge for part of the week after planning meals for week. Felt like was in "reaction mode" last week which burns me out.
Early to bed-no iPad.
Pulled out 4 dresses last night. All sized 10-16. I wore the 10s in 2010! Tried on the 16 (can't zip it!) & it was a real eye opener as to how much work I need to do. I was avoiding the reality of my situation by wearing stretchy materials & layers. I remember vividly wearing each dress except the 16 b/c it still has tags. Last week I took out a tape measure to measure my waist and I know I've got to get the number down.
I know if I can make progress, I will feel better physically & emotionally.
Have a great week everyone!8
