Round 28 Start = 135.2 I don't mind admitting that the holidays knocked me sideways and I am still a little sideways. This round, work with my new fitness tracker and get my mojo back.
1/8 - 135.2 - bounce richly deserved, bad food/fitness day yesterday. However, did treat myself to a Fitbit Charge 2 and make high protein granola (lentils, the secret weapon)
1/9 - 134.0 - 35 min crosstrainer hard, testing the HRM on my new Charge2 which did well. WAY under calories as I am deeply suspicious of the burn reported!
1/10 - 134.0 - Yesterday, walk at lunch hour and did reps in the stairwell a few times, under calories.
Enjoying the floors and steps and move every hour tracking on the new device.
Slept badly though, accepting that I am still in a down/negative place about issues with daughter...
1/11 - 133.2 - Yesterday exhausted and sore throat. Drank tea and rested after work. A little over calories. Taking a couple hours this morning to get my wheels back under me before going to work.

Hello Everyone! I'm booked solid in the showroom/booth set up for the next 3 weeks so lots of activity, steps and flights of stairs just at work. I find it easier to control my calories on showroom days as I plan all my meals to keep organized...work from home days I fly by the seat of my pants a bit more...so I expect it shouldn't take long to get back to my pre Christmas weight...it's only about 1.5lbs...
SW - 182.4 -March 2017
GW - 145 -reached October 2017
I maintained around 143.5 for about a month before Christmas and that weight felt really good...I will get back there PDQ
1/7 - 144.4 - Coming in from round 27

1/8 - 144.6 - at least it stayed under 145...had a few fries with dinner last night and a couple of beers...but put in some time on the elliptical and did my express kettlebell work out.
1/9 - 144.6 - no budge...TOM arrived today so progress may be masked by hormone bloat for a few days
1/10 - 144.6 - My rings felt tight going on today...as long as I can keep from shoving stuff in my face during TOM I should get back down to my 143ish I want to be at after the hormone stuff is gone by the end of the week.

1/8 - 232.4- lots of outside stresses led to poor food choices. I WILL do better tomorrow.
1/9-232.2- did well until I needed a quick dinner.
1/10-232.2- did great with food all day, ran in the morning and went on a walk with co-workers at lunch.
1/11-232.2- well— I guess it’s good that I haven’t gained. Wish I’d see more downward movement. I went on another walk with coworkers for lunch.

1/9 - loss - busy day forgot to post
1/10 - loss - tried my darndest to get my steps, 500 short. Better 500 short than 5,000. I need to figure out how to get that extra bit when I'm too busy to walk at lunch.
1/11 - loss - I didn't eat the donuts someone brought in to work, it all I got for today but I'll take this small victory

1/8- 145.86 I saved up the majority of my calories for a final dinner out with my parents. We had some delicious Italian, but I probably went over on calories with dessert.
1/9-145.2 I managed to come in under calories for the first time in awhile.
1/10-144.98 (weighed after a small breakfast and half a coffee) I struggled with hunger this evening but chose broth and lots of water over extra food.
1/11- 144.1 I don't know where this number came from, but I don't think it will stick. Didn't eat great today but did manage to stay under calories.

New lowest weight! I actually also saw 155.5 on the scale today, too, but I can't quite claim it. After no real progress for a while, I'm getting the beginner bump all over again, I think. One week of getting enough water and fiber, eating less, and back off added sugar and I'm losing some bloat. Had some high sodium food today so it might go up a bit tomorrow but I didn't overeat.
01/09: 158.0
Did fine on food today.
01/10: 156.0
I calculated my body fat% and it's in the healthy range now, though not athletic. I can't say it's definitely accurate, but I've been using the Military Body Fat calculator all during my loss and my bf% has gone down 11% according to this method.
01/11: 156.0
I'm not finding it difficult to stick to my eating plan this week. I'm not eating sugar and not craving it, getting enough protein, veggies, water, and staying in calories. Exercise though, is a different story. I'm not feeling like it at all.4 -

01/08 - 103.6 - Starting the year off very high! The 3kgs have been confirmed
I'm not sure I can lose3.6kgs in 10 days, but I'd like to try!
01/09 - 102.6 - OK was back on the program yesterday
01/10 - 101 - WHAAAAT? Now that's a surprise, I'm truly puzzled as I ate over my calories yesterday... I was unstoppable, like a bottomless pit, nothing junky. The only thing I changed was having dinner early, a decision to try to break the frenzy snacking. It seemed to work, but it's really making me wonder about how my body works.
01/13 - 100 on the dot. Stepped on the scale 4 times, it would oscillate between 99.8 and 100 but settle on the latter. This is crazy - I mean literally crazy. I had lunch with a client, I had a nut bar late last night as I was too hungry, ate my regular meals correctly, drank my water. I remember the effort it took for me to get to this weight before and now my body decides to skip all the steps and get straight to business? I'll take it, I just hope it lasts
01/14 - 100.2 - expected! I feel I didn't eat enough fat and too many carbs... just as long as it doesn't go up more with the weekend looming ugh!

Long-term Focus: In the normal range for my age height and build, on maintenance.
December was a very indulgent month. This round, I am focused on losing my holiday baggage.
I HAVE the power and determination to do this.
Primary Goal - 160lbs +/- 2lbs. Lose 1lb per round.
to all the Newbies, and Hi to those returning for another Round. This has given me a motivational element of daily accountability.
Observations, and Previous Rounds
Many events along the way will scupper our best intentions, but they merely delay the achievement of our goals. Life is for living, and one must learn patience. It takes many years to put on excess weight, so It follows that it takes much time to remove, but it does come off, bit by stubborn bit! If you stick with it! The game continues!
A lot of people get upset by apparent weight gain when they have been working their butts off. Body weight fluctuates, both up, and down, from one day to the next depending on so many factors. From my experience:- Changes often take several days to show on the scale.
- A drop is often followed by a bounce up before it settles back down. A general downward trend is the aim.
- A high sodium day usually results in a gain due to water retention, unless you drink extra fluids to flush it out.
If you are making positive lifestyle changes it will lead to increased health and fitness.
Slow and steady leads to sustainable weight loss.
But remember to live a little along the way!

Trying something new, not going to post daily numbers, just starting weight for the round just whether today's scale is a loss or gain compared to the previous day.

1/8 - loss - didn't make my step, or my water goals but I did make everything I ate today and I'll take it as a plus. Also bonus it's less freezing now
1/9 - loss - busy day forgot to post
1/10 - loss - tried my darndest to get my steps, 500 short. Better 500 short than 5,000. I need to figure out how to get that extra bit when I'm too busy to walk at lunch.
1/11 - loss - I didn't eat the donuts someone brought in to work, it all I got for today but I'll take this small victory

One thing I have noticed that helps me get my steps in when I'm tied to a desk at work is this: very frequently, other people take breaks to go outside to have a cigarette, right? The whole process might take them 15-20 minutes. Well, if they can do that, I can get up and do a lap or two around the hallway once an hour or two. My Fitbit lets me know when I need to get up and move to get that 250 steps in for the hour. I'm not hurting myself and it helps to refresh my brain to make me more productive. Sometimes, I'll hit the stairwell and go up and down a few floors then get right back to work. I'm a pretty efficient worker, so this doesn't cost me anything at all in productivity. But it keeps me from leaving work with like 3000 steps or something. If I do this, even on a sedentary day, I can often leave the office with closer to 6000.3 -
