@eponine1984 I am so sorry for your loss. That much blood loss is not trivial - I hope your physical recovery is quick so you can get out running to help with the rest of your recovery.

    @girlinahat waves back
@PastorVincent Nice looking powerline trail, add 3 ft of snow and it would look like one ( all ) of my trails
@Orphia Cartwheels and running - sounds like some kind of funky Zumbra - obstacle race.

@eponine1984 Sends big virtual hug to you and your family from all your MFP Friends.

@JessicaMcB Congratulations. Great JaJa Photo, especially since the dude in the back has a Gary Robbins style Beard happening. Took me a while to understand the picture with all the pages of the books. I am guessing that the temps warmed up as the day went on.
-22C this morning so wait for the evening when it should be warmer.

In typical fashion, it was in the upper 40'sF yesterday when I took that picture, and today we have 3 inches of snow on the ground. Not quite 3 foot, but probably looks about the same until you start walking/running in it. :)

4.35 today to submit as a virtual run for my missed race Saturday.

I've got 3 more runs planned for this week, no set distance or time.

For real? It's only early on the 2nd and I've already missed 5 pages? I've done so poorly keeping up with you all this year.

Goal(s) for April: 110 miles, no injuries and complete HM on the 22nd in a solid (for me) time.

4/1 - Start month on rest day, plus it's Easter = no burn + a lot of calories / hot cross buns.
    4/2 - 4 treadmill miles + upper body weights/abs.

    4/110

    Good luck all!

@kristinegift - Never been diagnosed, but I think I may have SAD too. I get extremely grumpy, sleepy, mopey, etc. in January and February every year. Way to kick *kitten* the first two days of April!
@MobyCarp - Love your real goals!
@zerlinna87 - FWIW, if an illness doesn't involve a fever, "wet" lungs, or a major GI issue...I try to run. Often, I feel better when finished.
@eponine1984 - I am sorry for all you're going through and your loss :-(
@JessicaMcB - Great job, love that pic!

Weather will be great today and my son has soccer practice, so skipped early morning on the road and will do a few miles on the trail by his soccer fields tonight. Less than two weeks to my first 25k and trail race. It feels weird not to have run in the morning, but I sure don't feel the rungries like I usually do. I think these soccer practice runs will become the norm as long as the weather holds. It's nice to spend more time on the mountain. I think there's a few other trails close by that I can scout out.

    4/1-14.5 miles

Setting a goal of 180 miles this month because that it what my plan says. Hitting 50+ mile weeks now and I am feeling pretty tired. Why is it that I never remember how draining training for a marathon can be? I am actually glad to see Mondays (my rest day) roll around.

Took me a while to find the thread!!! I went AWOL at the end of march but let's try this again! My target for April is 50km. Aiming to run 3-4 km 4-5 times a week. I am very stretched for time so can't do longer runs at the moment but a short run is better than none right?!

    4/1 - 4km - 4/50
    4/2 - 0 rest day - 4/50

@7lenny7 I had to Google Nusrat Fatah Ali Kahn, but I'm diggin' it. Anything upbeat and I can't sit still.

Serious (ly) wish sirus would add some international channels.

    4/1: 2.5 miles
    4/2: 3.1 miles

My scheduled run for today was a 3 mile tempo, but of course, I let my watch go over to 3.01, and I couldn’t handle the unevenness; I was “that person” running in circles in front of my house until I hit 3.1.

    Upcoming Races:
    Wineglass Marathon 9/30

Reading the comments here (and looking very hard at myself too), I think most of us are "that person".

I'm so angry I don't even know where to begin. I should have known from the first word out of the orthopedist's mouth that he was a bad fit - my husband was wearing a 5k shirt and the doctor's first words were, "You're not a RUNNER?" We thought he was joking but he wasn't joking - he said he believed in treating conservatively which means I'm not supposed to to anything for the foreseeable future and likewise he will do nothing. I explained wanting to get better so I could run and he said he didn't recommend running at any time for anyone and that I should get my exercise from swimming or cycling instead. Too angry to communicate with him in a very helpful fashion, but I did eventually get him to recommend me to a sports doctor who might actually someday help me, who can't give me an appointment for another TWO WEEKS. I explained that I literally can't go without exercise because I'm not on medication and I control my diabetes through exercise, and he said "Two weeks of high blood sugar won't kill you."

What an *kitten*. Hope the next guy doesn't also have his head... UP.

I saw 6 doctors before I had an accurate diagnoses for my glute/piriformis/nerve impingment, and that was over the course of almost 5 years.

Hang tough to those two weeks. I'd get some exercise-run, if you can tolerate it.
