24 Hours of Exercise per Month Challenge - MAY 2018

Here's the 24 hour challenge thread for MAY . Let's do it again!! And welcome to any newcomers!

The goal is to accomplish at least 24 hours of exercise during the month.(MORE IS GREAT) Any type of activity that you would log in your exercise diary counts (both cardio and strength training) ~ walking, running, paddling, biking, swimming, gardening, weight training, dancing, HIIT, aerobics, elliptical, rowing, circuit training, stretching, etc. You get the idea.

For you BEASTS out there (you know who you are), if you want to do more, just post your personal goal that is over the baseline challenge goal.

And for anyone who wants to join part of the way through, just post a comparable goal to finish out the month (for example, joining half way through, post a goal of 12 hours).

There is no group for this and no private messages needed. No fancy spreadsheets either, just report your running totals here in the thread.

    I love this challenge, but I’m dealing with a really sore quad muscle for 12 days now, so I guess I really do have to rest it.

    I’ll definitely be back when I’ve got this figured out. And yes, in the mean time, I’ll be getting some steps in, but not really the Exercise that I feel this Challenge is about.

    Oh, I'm back for round two, thanks for restarting the thread JDMac82!

    Last month I seriously hurt myself, falling and badly bruising my ribs. I had set 40 hours as my goal. I finished with 53! So, this month I have to reach higher. I'm going for 60 hours this month. Wow, can't believe I'm doing this, at my age this is a HUGE stretch!!! :D:D:D

    Goal 60 hours
    May 1 = 115 minutes, 6.8 mile hike
    May 2 = 255 minutes, 7.3 mile hike, mowing lawn (push mower), pruning, loading, burning yard waste
    May 3 = 60 minutes, walking... hey, that housework won't do itself, so today's the day! :D

    Total 430 minutes = 7.2 hours

    I will be gone for about a third of May (getting married May 19th, then honeymoon!) but the gym is the only thing keeping me sane in the run-up to the big day, so I'm in - goal of 20 hours.

    May 1: 60 minutes BodyPump
    May 2: 55 minutes cycling
    May 3: sick
    May 4: 45 minutes elliptical

    May 7
    WEEK 1: 160 minutes --- 2.6 hours

    TOTAL: 160 minutes --- 2.6 hours
