2/6 - 11,615 ... wow! I went bowling and ran lots of chores!
3/6 - hoping to hit my 8K target.
I have a mobility problem and often need a walking stick. So I am aiming for 8,000 steps per day. But if I am under it's usually because of the pain, so I don't push myself too hard. I think 8,000 per day is doable and would like to start tracking it here.

What with the bowling you have MORE than averaged out so far!
As it says in the opening message on this thread, 10K doesn't have to be your number. Pick the goal number that pushes your individual envelope while fitting your reality, and start there.
Step target despite mobility problem says you ARE a strong and motivated individual.
After all, with every step you take, you lap another couch-potato (who might not even have the pain to work around)1 -

In for June! I work a desk job M-F & take hourly stairs breaks (3 floors). My goal is average 13,000 steps / day (upped from May goal). I'm a walker, not a runner ~ next race 6/9/18 10K. Workplace Step Challenge 4/16 - 8/31 & prizes at halfway point + end for top 30 women = I want a prize!

Month Average 11955.32
Seeing that I was down hard for four days and sick for a few others I think I can safely up my game. So for June I am going to target 12k a day for a monthly target of 360,000. I don’t have my numbers for the first three days handy but I know yesterday I fell well short of the 12k.

It was a nasty day Yesterday and I fell rather short. No excuse acceptable since I was not sick. From here out I will not fall short unless I am deathly sick.
Since I fell short yesterday, I'm going to target 17k today to make up for it.

If it's yucky outside, you can always "walk while you watch" a tv show or a dvd or listen to radio or whatever .... all steps count! It's surprising how many steps you can get in that way.2
