I've lost about 10lbs in 3 weeks, I logged all my meals for today with the exception of desert which was a keto chia dark chocolate mousse/pudding that i made and can't figure out how to put into my food diary. Per the website i modified it from it should only be about 100cals per serving and I had a 500 cal surplus today so I think it should be fine.

Mmmm coffee! I'm using Brain Octane Oil and my latest love is Stok Unsweetened Cold Brew Coffee, Califia Unsweetened Almondmilk and 1 tbsp brain octane oil. Shake and pour over ice...mmmmm! Beats any sugar filled foofoo coffee drink!

I'm trying to find something besides water. Been on only water for 11 days and it's basicly making me sick...
    Any ideas?

I don't know if it will help but have you looked into getting a water enhancer? Something with flavor in it, like those Mio squeeze bottle things? I get sick of water usually, but I've just been sooooo thirsty for weeks, I feel like I can't get enough.

Thank you. I will look into it. I left diet sodas and don't plan to consume them again.

Hi, last year I followed a fairly lax keto diet (carbs <50g/day) and dropped 5kg over 116 days.

Today is day 7 of my return to keto, started at 149lb (67.9kg), aiming for under 136lb (62kg), and I kick started my ketosis with a 36hour fast. This time around I'm keeping carbs to <20g/day.

It's been steady loss every day (I know to expect water loss over the first few days), and I'm down to 142lb (64.6kg) as of this morning, I expect the hard work will start from here...

My diary is public, please add me if your diary is open too!

I buy Crystal Light and carry packs with me to add to my bottle of water from time to time when I get tired of water.

I am going to try my best not to have any alcohol -- I know that stops the loss. Anyone else giving it up??

Yes, and I find that the most difficult part really, as in London an awful lot of socialising involves drinking, so I need to avoid the peer pressure and find the courage to just drink water or coffee when I'm out.

Started Keto Last week bugger isn't the easiest diet to follow

This is so true, not so much a diet as a total lifestyle change!
Walking around a store or supermarket looking for non-carb food is shocking really, todays western diet is so chock full of grains and sugars. I pretty much have to cook at home all the time and take food with me to work, which was difficult for me to adjust to, but I _feel_ so good on a keto diet, I don't get crazy hunger pangs and I don't snack all day, I feel more alert too.

Stick with it John, make your mind up after 30 days, you owe yourself at least that !

I'm in. On week 2. Lost 9 pounds in week 1. It seems I'm at a bit of a stall this week. My macros are 20g carbs, 97g fat, 127g protein. I measure blood ketones and have basically stayed between 2.7 and 3.1.

Wife made a pesto chicken recipe from https://headbangerskitchen.com/recipe/grilled-pesto-chicken/ and it was better than I expected.

Fathead pizza was a good substitute. Something that I recently found and love when I need a sweet is Quest Hero bars. Only 4 net carbs!! Check them out!

Here's a question for the group...from what I've read, your protein should be .8-1.2 x lean body mass, carbs should be below 25g, and fat should fill the remainder of the calories/grams to feel satiated. Is that the consensus? Because some keto calculators I've found will have a much higher ratio of fat vs carbs. I'm just trying to figure this weight stall out.

I'd love to join! Any suggestions to get started?

What has helped me get started is the bulletproof coffee. I think this will get your day started right. Sure, it is weird at first putting butter in your coffee. My dietician even suggested I put even more fat in my coffee and I now also do a tablespoon of MCT oil on top of that in it. 1 scoop of protein powder (Keto Vanilla - is my favorite) to give my coffee a bit more substance and cinnamon. Voila. I find that if your day starts off like this I am more likely to make better decisions throughout the day.

I have not given up alchohol. I dont drink my sweet wine anymore (sweet wines usually kept in fridge), I switched to Cab. Beers: Michelob Ultra 2.6g carbs (rewarded myself after 1/2 marathon in May) or Miller Lite 3.5carbs :p . I just make to budget in for my carbs. If it's a surprise social outing I make it up with cardio next day. Total drinks in this past 60 days maybe 5-6 (I'm gonna b real - no diet will work for me without a lil spirits hee hee)....18 lbs down, 4" off my waist.

My husband is trying to go lower carb which is amazing, but I had him keep track of all his food intake yesterday and I entered it in MFP and he's definitely messed up with Macros. Too much carbs, protein and not enough fat. I'm goin to suggest he add more fat to his tea (he's not a coffee drinker) Bulletproof tea anyone??!! :)

So far so good getting back on track. I did however have an interesting dream last night. I was in a convenience store and I wanted a caramilk bar so I'm looking all over the store for this elusive caramilk bar and can't find it. I found donuts and every other chocolate bar under the sun but not my caramilk bar. This is my subconscious playing with me I'm sure. Sugar can certainly play tricks with your mind!!

I started Sunday for the first time and know several this has absolutely been life changing for. I am concerned I may be getting too much protein but I've lost a little over 2lbs already. Maybe I am doing it right. See below and provide any feedback you think is needed. Thanks for starting this. I am motivated on this and believe it will work for me.
    So far typical day is:
B: 2 eggs with 2 sausage patties for breakfast, Plan to use bacon next week instead of sausage.
L: 4 oz hamburger patty with a little bit of shredded cheddar on top, mayo and either a couple of romaine lettuce leafs or a small portion of a cauliflour mash. Plan to use tuna or egg salad w/ Mayo and a little dijon next week
D: 6 to 8 Homemade baked separated Chicken wings w/Franks Sauce, 2.5 tbls of Blue Cheese dressing and about 2 cut of celery stalks. Plan to use chicken legs and a small serving of salad or vegetable w/dressing
Snack: Sargento cheese stick for snack.
I've been getting in 100 oz or more of water per day too.

Same things I eat. :) .My body does better with a little more protein. In my beginning I went over alot....felt good though ,started to stall so I cracked down & stayed with my protein & felt crappy. Couldn't shake the "keto flu" till I ran it out a gym and kicked my protein back up. I use isopure protein intermittent with workouts and with pancake recipes.
