In again. I don’t like the trend I see – going backwards! But I do like that, thanks to this challenge, I can see what’s happening. The worst thing would be to throw in the towel.

About me: 61, 5'7", in maintenance 125-129 since March this year. Serial loser and regainer of 20 and determined not to slide back up this time.
Round 46 report: Not a bad round, some faith-building workouts including more running, and 10-day average weight hits a new low though ending weight was at round's maximum, 127.6
Round 47 GOAL = Maintain weight, get some nice workouts in.
7/17 - 126.4 - yesterday under maintenance calories, got 40 minutes on the elliptical. I prefer the Cybex arctrainers because I can set the resistance low, let go the handles and just run on them. It's a sweatdripper!
7/18 - 125.8 - yesterday a smidge above maintenance calories, 13K steps just messing round (no workout). Slept badly last night and took migraine meds in the early AM, feeling better now but very aware that with a new stress source at work and a poor night's sleep, this could be a day of weak will.
Thinking how I can plan for that and have it feel like I am nurturing myself, not "depriving" myself. Will report tomorrow!

This much drop in a day must be a fluke. We shall see tomorrow. Don’t really see how it can be stable here, so expecting it to stabilize at this weight over the next few days. Worked out yesterday and ate within my goal. Did eat much cleaner and healthier yesterday with lots of water, to balance out Chinese takeout over the weekend. Think I need a day of full rest from workout but let’s see what happens today. Sleep hasn’t been the best, need to make a point to go to bed earlier.

7/17 - 158.8 - I just found the challenge and didn't make the best choices earlier today for lunch. Time to move on and do better!
7/18 - 155 - Not a real loss from yesterday, just weighed in the morning and will continue to do that for the rest of the challenge. Finished strong yesterday with some time on the elliptical and then weights. It felt great! 12,042 steps yesterday and made it into bed by 11.

Goals: 1. To be an inspiration to my 22 year old Autistic son who started his weight loss journey on May 1, 2018 weighing 308.4 .
2. 3 lb loss to land at 183.0 or less
3. No Bingeing
4. No “cheat days” only “Earn days”. No “Earn Days” only “Earn Meals” which are much easier to bounce back from.
5. 10,000 steps per day. Mixed modes of exercise.
6. Lots of water, green tea daily, apple cider vinegar before carby meals.
7. Check my blood sugar daily for improvements.

7/17 187.6 From one dish of vanilla icecream? Yikes….. Will likely get worse tomorrow. Today is a business luncheon at the pizza buffet. My diet will be off but I will make this my “earn meal” and do good in the evening. Good luck everyone on this new challenge! My son’s weight yesterday 288.2. He was down 4 more pounds. Fantastic!
7/18 189.6 Wait a minute! I did not eat 2 whole pounds of food at the pizza buffet yesterday! But I did eat 4 small pieces and some water. Also, some sweet snacks at the late night binge. I guess I deserve this giant leap up. I walked over 12,000 steps yesterday including my brisk 1.5 mile neighborhood walk. I intermittent fasted 14:10 due to the luncheon being earlier than I usually begin eating. Lots of fluids. I did a few things right anyway. Today I will stay focused and not get derailed!

Welcome to all newbies! It is never too late to join us - even on the last day of a round, there is always another coming.
@schlerin I used to get a small Blizzard, eat some and put it in the freezer. The next day I would eat a few bites to satisfy the need for sweet (bad habit) and put it back. Make it last and savor each bite.

@tiabirdie56 I’m with you on the coffee! DD#1 brews something akin to dishwater. I need a STRONG cuppa! Glad I had the foresight to throw in my packets of Starbucks Via Italian Roast when I packed!
@abowersgirl You may need to not workout every day. Your body needs rest to rebuild. When I went to the gym, I only did every other day and on gym days my length of workout lasted as long as the liter of water I took. I warmed up on the treadmill for 10 minutes, did a circuit on the machines and finished with a 5K on the treadmill or, eventually, on the elliptical.
@sami560 and anyone else with a digital scale that never changes - I read somewhere that digital scales can get “stuck” and if you think this has happened you should have someone significantly lighter or heavier weigh to break the cycle. Don’t know if this is true but it’s worth trying before you run out and buy a new one!

Just starting back on MFP after a year and a half absence where I gained back everything I had lost, sheesh! So I am back to logging my food and happy I am. I am still recovering from an injury so exercise is somewhat limited at the moment to light walking, yoga and easy gardening. I miss those extra exercise calories. Looking forward to getting to know yoou all and sharing the journey to health and fitness.

7/17 Enjoyed the weather outdoors today, went power walking today through the park. I am feeling100%. Eating healthy! But not much sleep.
7/18- Finally had some more sleep last night 10:00- 3:45 that is like three nights sleeper me. Great weather spent a lot of time out doors walking, outside makes me feel like a million dollars.8 -

@quiltingjaine, I can not stand drinking weak coffee. Ugh. I am going to stay at my son's house for 2 nights this weekend. I asked him if I need to bring my coffee and pot. He has a keurig. He made a cup of coffee for me once, called donut shop. Didn't tell me until I started to sip it. He knows I don't like ANY brand of donut shop coffee. Tastes like a couple of coffee beans were dragged through water to me. 😂 Lately, I've been enjoying Seattle's Best dark roast. I like them all. The coffee is so smooth tasting.

Hello everyone...joining today. So round 47 will be my first round.
I am 5’3” and my current weight is 187lbs. I hope to be 20lbs lighter by end of the year. I am already pretty active and walk minimum 15k steps each day from past 2 weeks . Nutrition is my biggest issue which everyone says is matters 80% in weight loss. Have to control sugar and carbs cravings.

@quiltingjaine I usually wouldn't work his hard but I have been out of work the past couple of months and I'm not only scared that if I slow down I will gain but I am also scared I will get depressed if I stop to think about my loss of a job. I'm trying to put my energy and emotion all into exercising and I guess expected some light at the end of the tunnel with my losses. But I know your right, I probably should cool it a bit...i have heard before that too much could have the opposite effect on the body.. thanks4
