Oct 25 - 206.6 everything is going so well! I feel great. I hope I don’t mess it up today. I don’t have lunch or supper planned and have a Halloween dance at my daughters school.
Oct 26 - 206.2 I guess things worked out well yesterday. I found something for lunch and dinner that was within my range. At the Halloween dance there was no food which is a nice change - to go to an event that is really just about the fun of dressing up and the spirit of Halloween! Now the challenge of the weekend ahead! My goal is to try and get some time today to pre plan my meals.

10/25 149 Back here again, but with new motivation. I found an old tablet yesterday and was looking through old photos of myself, and got inspired to lower my goal weight to 134.5. Weight loss is first and mostly about psychology, and it really helped to see myself slimmer, smiling, looking like I felt great. Yesterday I had a really good day, lowered my calories back to 1200 and started wearing my fitbit again. Refocusing on my macros, since higher protein works best for me (carbs 25%, fat 45%, protein 30%) and seeking to hit that protein goal of 90g daily. These past 5 rounds I have indulged plenty, tasted all the foods I was desiring, and have come back to the realization that I feel better when I eat more simply. Skipping breakfast unless I am hungry, lots of salads, and grilled lean protein. Occasional treats, not daily. Looking forward to this round more than I have in a while! Have a great day everyone!
10/26 148.4 Dedicated to staying out of the 150's this round as I stay on course. Candy is in the house but I am safe! Tomorrow night we are going to a big Halloween party, so I will save some calories to snack there, but stay away from sweets. I have had enough sweets over the past several rounds to be ready to stay away.
10/27 149 Did not walk yesterday due to escorting mom to dr. and son to DMV (yay! he got his permit!) so lots and lots of sit and wait time. Ate over calories quite a bit last night and not the best choices in spite of my oh so motivated talk to myself. Today is a new day, and I am up and at em early ready for it to be outstanding! Every moment is an opportunity to begin again, have a great Saturday everyone!
10/28 149.2 Parsley cucumber lemon water is on the menu today to get rid of my Mexican food bloat from last night, but it was worth it! Hubby and I were inmates in black and white stripes, so it was comfy and the party last night was tolerable. He is leaving tomorrow until Saturday out of town, so this coming week will be a challenge. In the past when he's gone I have used it as an excuse to overeat, but not anymore! This time I will use his time away to stay focused on ME, to get my walks in, to eat how I know fuels my body best, and to spend some time introspectively and GROW. The past does not equal the future!

I'm up extra early to take my honey to the airport, going to walk the hill when I get back and I will log my day. Continuing to drink the cucumber/parsley/lemon infusion, love the taste!

10/26 150 Yayyy! Definitely made me happy to see this number this morning. I shared a story on my personal page yesterday that when I went for my walk, I seen an elderly lady that I met several months ago and haven't seen since. She knew who I was once we started talking, but she said the reason she didn't recognize me at first was my weight loss. Feels great to be noticed 😊
10/27 150 I will be away for the rest of the weekend so I won't have access to a scale tomorrow. Will try and still post though. I am going to a fall festival tonight and I have no idea what kind of foods there will be. Plan to eat light! 10/28 Away, did not weigh- went to a Halloween party Saturday night, there were only hotdogs and lots of carb-y foods, so I did splurge a little.

Sunrise this morning was spectacular! I'm looking forward to a nice walk on the river greenway. Then I'm off to the dr's office - I was pruning a rose yesterday and it fought back. I'm sure there's a thorn tip embedded in my leg (nice finish to a long scratch) and my hubby couldn't get it and I can't reach it very well. That'll be fun!

I had a pretty good workout in the garden yesterday moving two big rose bushes, three daylilies, and three hostas, and planting some mini irises I got free a while back. It rained all night and is still raining, so everyone is nicely watered in. I'm hoping to put in some bulbs this afternoon or tomorrow. One of my favorite ways to spend a fall day - and a drop on the scale is a nice reward!

Woohoo! Last day of my elimination diet! Tomorrow I start adding things back, one by one, starting with eggs. Based on lingering pain, I don't know that it's done much for my inflammation - blood work tomorrow will tell us more - but I have lost 6.5 pounds in the 6 weeks (not bad this close to my UGW) on a macro ratio of 55-60% carbs (mostly veggies & fruits with some rice, oatmeal, & legumes), 20% protein, & 20-25% fat. I haven't felt particularly deprived, but I am looking forward to adding eggs, peppers, tomatoes, peanutbutter, and muesli!

Busy day today, beginning with a blood draw for me to see if inflammation is down, and a leg x-ray for my doggy girl to see why she's limping intermittently (which we fear is linked to her liver nodules and enlarged lymph glands). She was most unhappy about going to THE BACK ROOM with the tech. :-( But I'm happily beginning the next phase of the food sensitivity testing, beginning with eggs! I added egg whites to my oatmeal this morning and look forward to an omelette for lunch. Sometimes it's the little things!

I have lost 106 pounds so far and my goal is to get down to between 10-12% body fat (Currently about 16.1%) and then slowly bulk to gain muscle. These last 10 lbs. or so have really been giving me fits, so I thought I would join this challenge to give me a little extra motivation.

10/25 186.6 - Had a pretty good day. Got a late night lift in about midnight last night with 2 miles (1 before, 1
after) on the treadmill. Need to do better on sleep. Averaging about 4 hours per night this week.
10/26 186.6 - Yesterday had an active day. Did a triceps and abs session and then ran a treadmill 5k at an easy
pace (6.5) for just under 29 minutes. Had about 15,000 steps along with the workout, so got to eat
some extra calories yesterday (2239). Deadlifts await today.
10/27 187.4 - Normal fluctuation. Didn't get my workout in because I was gonna go after watching World Series Game 3. 18 innings and 7:20 later...it was 2:30 am here when game ended. So i will try to double up today on my workouts. Also ate calories that go on today's diary last night during game after midnight so that explains the gain.
10/28 189.4 - Played and walked 18 holes of golf for over 15,000 steps. Pigged out at family get together on high carb and high sodium foods. 300+ carbs when I'm usually around 180-200 and 6600+ sodium. So I figured I would be a up a few today. It's normal for me to fluctuate 3-5 lbs based on water weight. So, no worries, back at it today and it should shed over the next few days. After losing 107 lbs, it's good to know my body well enough that I don't freak out over water weight fluctuations like I would have at the beginning.
10/29 188.6 - Pretty good day. Slightly over calories (Mexican food is my weakness). Normally my rest day, but I made up my lifting workout from Friday (Deadlifts, Assisted Pull-Ups, Overhead Press, Bicep Curls and Chest Flys). Also bowled in my Sunday evening bowling league. Hopefully will continue to shed water weight today, and I will have another lifting session today and may try to go play some basketball for cardio tonight if I can get away for long enough.

10/25 175.2 - Woah what? 😲That's got to be water! Crazy. I feel like I was real consistent with my water yesterday, but I'm going to be extra mindful of it today.
Also, I'm needing to work on stress management. This past few days at work I've been feeling a little overwhelmed. I've got to figure it out because this time of year through around March/April it's often crazy busy at the hospital.
Last challenge I set a goal of 6 days with exercise and I'm going to continue that goal.

10/27 173 - So I didn’t get what I wanted to accomplish done yesterday. It ended up being more of a rest day. I’m a little excited that we went out to eat and I still lost! Today I’m back to work, then I’ll have church after dinner. Might try to squeeze in a short workout.

I'm having an IBS flare so I think I'm going to sip on some herbal tea today and have some bone broth. My gut feels inflamed. 🙁 Eating paleo has helped a lot, but things like stress and pms still trigger if for me. Both of which I'm currently dealing with. I'm due to start in about a week. Hopefully this feels better soon!

🎀10/25 - 178.4 - An early weigh in, but I'm certain this is true. An impromptu day out with a friend threw me off of my normal pattern. Did not drink enough water. Did not drink my electrolytes. Ate POPCORN. I bought some popcorn kernels to pop corn for my husband. WHY did I eat 2 cups of popcorn? I don't even eat corn or grains. So I deserve this temporary gain.

I am a 50 year old 5'5" woman. I am trying to get healthier to avoid diabetes and all of the problems that come from being overweight.
I have found this challenge to be both rewarding and frustrating! Looking at my weight daily has been a real eye opener to see all of the fluctuations and how a high carb day will affect me and the loss for 2-3 days after. On the other hand when I look at the big picture and the averages it has been a consistent loss except for two rounds. Round 53 was my 50 birthday celebrations that upped my weight for a few days.
I need to step up my game if I want to meet any of my goals.

10/25 - 192.6 No exercise yesterday. I drove for more than 5 hours, that was enough "exercise" for me. Good news I got a new asthma script. I didn't pick it up because I was too tired. Let's hope this new insurance means I can afford more than just the rescue inhaler. I'm crabby but still staying in calorie goal and plan on walking tonight.
10/26 - 190.9 No exercise again yesterday, but that stinky water weight is gone! I have been very tired the last two nights. MS can sometimes sneak up on me with a little exhaustion when I'm not looking. I hope to be back on track (trails really hahaha) this weekend. A short walk at lunch today (2 miles) and then a long walk either Saturday or Sunday and a 3 miler the other day. Fingers crossed the weather agrees
Last round I over estimated my goal, this round I underestimated. My amended goal for Round 57 is 189. I have 8 days to do it.
10/27 - 191.0 Went to the Farmer's Market walked 1.25 miles! Up slightly, nothing to worry about. Stayed within calorie goals but it was an emotional day.
10/28 - 191.6 Stress and sodium are the culprits. I hope I should have walked but got caught up in other things. I did shop a lot so there was walking there but I didn't turn on the app to count distance. Staying within calorie goals but sodium is high again.
10/29 - 192.9 DANG IT. I'm certain it's the stupid sodium. I ate out a lot and while I can stay in calorie goals but restaurants LOVE salt. My walking goals didn't happen. I had originally wanted to walk 50 miles in October but being sick for a week killed that. That pace was 1.61 miles a day - adjusting for a week off I need to hit 38.6. I'm at 33.2. I have to walk 5.4 miles in the next 3 days to hit my goal. Even if I don't hit my weight goal, I feel like I will have accomplished something if I can hit my mileage goal.

10/25 = 143.5 (up 2.5 lbs from yesterday) Hate to start a new round with a "gain" but this was expected and just a little blip up from my party last night. We had such a good turnout with a great group of ladies, super fun but way too many nibbly foods and cocktails. This should drop right back down in the next couple of days. The last round I was way off track with getting my workouts in & logging, but I practiced intuitive eating and was able to eek out a small loss. Getting out of these 140's is hard but I also have not been truly committed since I sprained my ankle. But all healed and ready to be back at it, giving it 100%. "If you have made mistakes, there is always another chance for you. You may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing we call 'failure' is not the falling down, but the staying down."

10/29 =143.4 (down .01 lbs, still up 2.4 lbs) I was out of the loop over the weekend. My daughter was sick all last week with a fever, cough, chills, and just very weak. She missed almost the entire week of school. We went to the doctor and had a chest x-ray done as there are 5 confirmed diagnosed cases of pneumonia at her school currently, but thankfully hers was all clear. She is back at school today, so I can focus a little bit on me now. My husband has asthma, so he is always so susceptible to anything respiratory illness related, so now he has bronchitis and an ear infection - ugh! Fingers crossed everyone is recovered by Halloween! Yesterday, I finally got back to my 90 day challenge and completed the day 73 yoga, felt super good! So far today, I am back on track with logging after taking a bit of time off from that, have the day 74 workout scheduled and hope to get in my 1st run since spraining my ankle on 9/27. I've also got to go to the store to get a treat for our cat, it's National Cat day, so will pick up the ingredients for the @tiabirdie56 bloat relief water. Have a great day everyone!

10/26 - Day 2 - 146.6 Having 2 girlfriends over after work. A little scared but have promised myself to stick to the "Rules" and only 1 glass (4oz) of wine OR NONE (not likely). We are ordering sushi for dinner so should be fine from the food aspect. Just that darn wine and hot tub. Wish me luck! Maybe they'll cancel on me! haha, no no. Sat/Sun plan --- I'm going to hit the gym both Sat and Sun (I usually just walk the dog/chase the 'littles' around)! 10/28 - Day 4 - Surprise invite to dinner out which I rarely do since I am usually sick after. This was no exception but the food (Mexican) tasted good: 1 sm. grilled shrimp taco (corn tortilla) and side of rice/beans. Hit the gym so cals in check, and "Rules" adhered to! Wooo!
10/29 - Day 5..ugh stomach is not good. NTS: Next time just have water, who cares what your inlaws think! I always pay for it when I eat out except at Sushi restaurants (hard to get cross contam. from wheat there!). Hopefully will feel 100% tomorrow. Hitting the gym & scale at lunch. I'm not sure what to expect! EEEK!

10/25 – 58.7kg Exercised for 30min yesterday and ate healthy breakfast and lunch and ended up eating heavy dinner. I tend to eat more for dinners should try to control this.
10/26 – 58.5kg (-0.2kg) didn’t exercise at all yesterday, finished my dinner early rather than having late night dinners I decided to eat early and I am happy to see the difference. Will try to stick to this plan.
10/27 – 58.3kg (-0.2kg) Spent some time in the morning to exercise. I realized how difficult it is to burn calories and then how easy it is to eat all those calories, so whole day I was very choosy and careful about what I ate. I went out with friends and I said no to Pizzzaaa I can’t believe I did that!! Wow! and the prize for that is what I saw in the morning today a drop of 0.2kg! yay!!
10/28 – 58.3kg no exercise just ate within calorie limit.
10/29 – 58.5g (+0.2kg) reason for this was obviously all the cake, ice-cream and chips that I had yesterday, didn’t exercise…I will consider that to be a cheat day and will be back on track from today.

10/25: 192.6 -- It's a little bit of a rainy day here today. I am a bit swamped at work, but I hope to make it out to the gym at lunch. Actually change that. I WILL make it to the gym at lunch.
10/26: 194.6 -- such a roller coaster! I thought I did well yesterday. I did have a snack attack last night and ate some chocolate chips out of the bag. I know realistically that is NOT why the scale is up 2 lbs... but I can't help but feel remorse at that decision. Work is really busy, I'm a little stressed about it. I was working from home late last night, and it seemed like a good idea. I did make it to the gym yesterday and had a fabulous 40 min treadmill workout followed by a long stretching session. Today it's Friday, I'm about to leave work, and I plan to stop on my way home and go for a run in the rain. I could go to the gym and exercise indoors, but I am craving fresh air. Besides I live on the Oregon coast where it is ALWAYS raining so if I stay inside to exercise in the winter, well, I'll always be inside which is not my thing.
10/27: 194.8 -- I'm wondering if that 192 something was just a random fluke. Anyway, I'm happy to report that I DID get that run in on Friday, rain and all. It was actually really nice. I had a ton of energy and felt like I was flying! I'm sure I wasn't really as fast as I felt, but it was nice to run and feel good doing it.
10/28: 196.2 -- It is TTOM for me and I am retaining water, I have realized. I'm hoping things go back to normal soon. The important thing is to be consistent with my logging, water, and exercise, and hang on for the ride. Yesterday I hauled my horse down to a friend's arena for a barn Halloween party. It actually was quite a good workout as we played all kinds of games and I rode for a couple of hours. The perfect thing for an otherwise rainy afternoon.
10/29: 196.8 -- OK. Now I'm getting pissed. I really ate pretty well yesterday. I made good choices and a delicious and super healthy dinner. I did not get any formal exercise yesterday, but I had 13k steps just around our farm. It was a surprise sunny day and the kids and I played outside, went on a hike, and did crafts with beautiful fall leaves. Then in the late afternoon the whole family went salmon fishing at a nearby river. We didn't catch any or even get any bites, but it was the first time we've all gone fishing together and it was fun teaching my 6 year old son how to cast. We cast out into the river for an hour or so and then decided the fish weren't biting, so we went mushroom hunting in the nearby forest instead. I stayed in the car with our young daughter who had enough, but my son and husband came back with chantrelles which are my favorite. I then made a yummy shepherd's pie with sweet potato mashed potatoes on top and the chantrelles were the starring ingredient! It was so delicious. Now I'm back at work and back into the routine. I had my gym stuff with me and plan to get a butt kicking workout in at the gym during lunch.

🕷10/25🕸 149.8- yesterday I worked out but ate a bit too much, late night snacking got to me..I still managed under my calories but it does explain the "maintenance" I drank 1 liter of water, so not great on the water front. I have been extra hungry for the past two weeks but I finally feel normal again now that I am mid week into my TOM. I also feel good today, totally more energized then I have been the past two weeks (like I was before my cold started... gosh colds last a long time) here is to a good day! 🥂 i am also happy to report i took my measurments this morning and I am half an inch down around my waist, 1 inch down around my hips and 1 and a half inches down around my thighs...what a good start to my day
⚰10/26🔮 149.8 pfft. Ate under calories, exercised and drank 1.6 liters of water. Thank gosh I took my inches to prove my weight loss, otherwise this number would have been slightly discouraging since it is the 9th day at 149.x but I'm not letting it get to me. This weekend I will be away so I don't know how often I will be on and I for sure won't have access to a scale, there will be a lot of walking involved but I plan to stay mindful of my eating and hopefully won't see a crazy increase on Monday. 🔮10/29⚰ 149.6 finally caught up on everyones posts. This weekend was so much fun and I am so happy that this was what I saw on the scale this morning!! Food choices were so difficult given the fact we were on a bus, given food parcels containing sweets and high carb foods. The bus was all ladies with the exception of 4 men out of 40 odd people (not including the two bus drivers) and we were all Italians..which means biscotti and such. I did track all my food and ate everything sparingly. When we did arrive at our destinations, the food options were food courts, which made salads and fruits rare to come by. I did walk a lot and portion out the food. I was lucky that the B&B we stayed at provided fruit for breakfast, so I took a couple extra for the road. I'm so tired today and I am feeling it in my legs, so I might do some light work outs but I am not fully commiting to anything. Planning to get back to my %100 by tomorrow.

10/27 181.2 yay! I went to a yoga class last night. It was more of a meditation with long stretching positions using props like cushions and blocks for support. I think we did only 7 positions for the entire 1.5 hours and it was WONDERFUL. I stretched out some tight muscles, and the best was when we put or legs up in the wall. I think it really helped move my lymph flow. I’m going to make it part of my routine and go twice a week.
10/28 didn’t weigh in. Had a busy and fun day on the 27th that ended with beer🍺 ...and it was unexpected...so therefore unplanned. 😕 so on Sunday the 28th was just as busy but was feeling down from letting myself have beer(s) that I dipped into the Halloween candy. When will I learn?!
10/29 183.4 yep. It’s back up. I’ve decided that the weekends are very very hard for me and the weight shows up Monday and won’t go away until Thursday - just to go up again on Monday. It’s a vicious cycle that I’m now understanding, (thanks to this 10-day challenge! Thank YOU!) and so now I am planning to still give and plan for myself some allowances for the weekend - or else I’ll just give up completely. I have to think of it as a marathon and not a sprint. 10/27 – 160.6 – Maybe I will make it to my goal this round. Two days now of counting all calories and also watching that I get enough protein. Both help with evening snacking. I didn’t realize how slack I was on the counting till I started looking back. I had never paid attention to the protein because I am a real meat lover but because I have to watch my fat (gall bladder issues) sometimes it’s too low.
