LOL! Fitbit just gave me 410 calories for an hour of dancing, stretching and balancing, with extensive inclusion of eskista dance. That's probably overdoing it by a lot!

Otherwise it was a fairly relaxed day. I need this as my muscles really hurt.

    No running for a while.

Rings and ropes today. About an hour of alternating between them

If you could find access to perhaps a SkiErg or an Endless Rope Machine, that would keep you pretty happy too. Many of the older AirBikes also are made where you can rest your legs up near the front wheel and just move your arms.

Hope it feels better soon. I couldn't row much of last year, so I wish I could say I don't know how you feel. That's hard.

Since I finished C25K last week by running 30 minutes (but not a full 5K) I decided it was time to give it a go and... BOOM! Ran a full 5K in 37+ minutes. No stopping. Very excited. Guess I have no excuses now...

Outstanding! You're a proven distance runner now. Congrats.

after feeling sick this morning, I went and had one of my best workouts in a long time.

34 Chin ups, followed by 110 push ups (both in sets to failure), followed by full body weight training with minimal rest between sets, followed by 35 min spin bike (vigorous)

I can barely lift my arms right now and legs are burning. Love it!

Biked (road) 72 miles. Felt guilty for not running.

Going to prep bread soon and do a home strength abdominal workout.

    Today? Nothing.

Yeaterday I was clear cutting some trees, blocking them up, splitting them and moving the pieces to the wood shed.

Also moving a few loads of gravel from our driveway around the back of the house because we're grading and leveling out 850sq ft bonfire pit area.

Wow, those stairs looked intimidating! While I'm sure climbing them gets the heart pumping, I'd be nervous trying to run down that many without taking a spill.

Lower body workout. Today I was HUMBLED by rest periods of 30-45 seconds. # of reps dropped and my glutes were on fire. Then did a 10 min ab workout and later a 30 min HIIT by Sydney Cummings, at the advice of many on here. I am good for the day, as I got my personally mandated 6K steps, but I will walk around the apartment a bit more to start packing for moving day (in 2 months).

Rocketed through an upper body workout. Once again, I was humbled by short rest periods. I never thought I would ever be able to take abs to failure but omg

Was going to try to do 15K fairly hard this morning. Got 1K in and my wife is out there (she never does this) and she's talking to me as I'm just getting in rhythm on the rower.

Turns out my cat was eating her houseplant (not toxic) and decided to throw up about a seven foot stream as she chased him off her new area rug. Since it's Mother's Day, I didn't complain about getting up off the rower and cleaning it up for her! But this was the first thing that went wrong.

Then, I realized 5K in, I needed a fan. Got up, got a small fan on me because it was getting really hot early. Then was going to do two more 5Ks moderately hard. Did another one and then got 1500 through the last one and aborted. No HRM, but was mostly around 170 to 173 or so HR, so a nice HR workout, fairly hard.

Ended up with 12K with two hard 5Ks and another 1.5K moderately hard and another 1K that I aborted, so around 12.5K in less than an hour.

Still waiting to get a strong misting fan. That will make these harder workouts more doable.

Pace today was roughly 2:17.7 for each 5K, so that was 10 seconds faster than my SS (easy) hour sessions. Slowly getting back into form.

Attempted rucking for the first time. 40 mins w 15lb. Not bad. Will run later.

Gurrrl, you did it the smart way: a shorter walk with a heavier weight.

On a whim, I did a 7.5 km ruck with 12lbs. In a life lived with no regrets, this was really close to being the first one. The last 1.5km was overly harsh.

Future MFPers, if you - like me - are looking up "rucking" after having almost blown your back out, then try some stretches involving hinge movements or yoga focusing on lower body movements. You'll feel better, I promise lol

I’ll let you in on a secret: I have a tiny bladder and can probably go max 1 hour without needing the bathroom. So I stayed close to my apartment ;) I would usually pee in the woods or something but this good weather is bringing out the best in people who want to get out and exercise. Curse you, sunny days!!
