Had to work late, so not much time for anything much. Did an MP run instead of the "normal" run that the plan called for.

    Upcoming Races
    Steel Challange 5k - May 2019
    Pittsburgh Marathon - May 2019
Glacier Ridge 50k Trail Race - May 2019

2021 - Disney World Dopey! (if can raise funds)

2019 GOAL: Knock a full hour off my 50k time at Glacier Ridge.

Well, THAT took a while. I go away a few days, and 768 messages and 32 pages later I get to the last message in the thread.

I confess not to have read all. Two things stuck out – Go Coach @Orphia and Go run @7lenny7!!
And good to see @Elise4270 and @hononui in their relay for Dennis.

So I’ve been away hiking in the Pyrenees, learning ice axe self-arrest skills, rock climbing, and climbed a mountain (Aneto in the Spanish Pyrenees, summit 3,404m). Multi-day hiking punishing every muscle in my body. Was sick with a cold much of the week which is annoying, and that certainly made the 2am hunt for a hole to do my business in outside a barely there mountain hut, with nothing but an icy reservoir and certain death waiting for my wrong-footedness exciting!!

that's the peak of Aneto in the middle - in the nasty weather clouds.....

    the 'view' from the summit!!!

The snow came in on our way back from the summit. I’ve done as much as minus 35C before so at least had some knowledge of the frozen eyelashes and nostril hair thing before. The scenery of the mountains was amazing, when we could see it. When we couldn’t it was a case of ‘don’t slip down that avalanche-prone glacier’!!!

    that's our 'all-mod-cons' hut.....

the way back down. Mountain scenery sucks huh?

Haven’t made it out to run yet. I’m still sick, my shoulder muscles are aching, and I think I’m allowed to forego hill training this week.

WOW!!! AWESOME! Sounds like a grand time!
