@HEGoddard0928 glad thinks are looking up for you and Matt
@aubyshortcake so happy you were able to close on the house.
@clicketykeys best of luck at the call back! Oh how I wish I could sing.
@bex95123 Ugh... The whole thing just seems tough for you. Older siblings naturally want to show dominance over younger siblings, and it’s important that the younger stand their ground. That being said, there are limits to how far they should go. You and Ash need to decide what is ok for your family. My girls used to bicker all of the time. We just sent both to their rooms. We didn’t care who started it, both were punished. It was the fairest thing we could do as it was too hard to determine where it started. Was it the passive aggressive older daughter or the aggressive younger daughter. Didn’t ask, didn’t care. Eventually, they just gave up on bickering. I was lucky.
I do think you should expect Ash to stay rather than going to his mums. That would be really unfair to you and unfair to the kids as you would end up on edge and easily angered. Just my 2 cents. Love ya!0 -
Good afternoon ladies! I hope everyone is doing well.
I'm in a bit of a crap mood but I think that's because Flo is right around the corner. I'm just super irritable and Matt isn't helping. Lol.
Today has been a good day food-wise so far. Yesterday was as well. So I've had two good days so far. Monday and Wednesday. Tuesday was a bust because I mindlessly ate a half a pack of fig newtons in the evening. Lol.
School was rough today. We have a student who is finally showing his true colors and he's becoming hard to handle. Just really belligerent and gets frustrated easily. He also has Cerebral Palsy and doesn't want to follow the restrictions that his mother has given to the school for him to do when it's gym time. He's just becoming a headache. Plus the air didn't work in our room today and this student gets overheated easily but doesn't want to be looked down on by the other students. Then he doesn't say anything and just ends up with his head on his desk about to fall asleep. It's really annoying. I kinda want to take this kid by the shoulders and shake him, ya know? Lol. It also doesn't help that he's a middle schooler and I find them the MOST difficult to deal with. Lol. There's a reason I stick to the high schools.
Anyway, today was my Friday so I have the whole rest of the weekend off. There are a bunch of things I SHOULD do, but whether I actually get to them or not will be a whole nother story. I need to write out a weekend to-do list on the whiteboard that's attached to the fridge. I think I will just make a list of weekend goals instead of them for each individual day like I was. I seem to be having a really hard time coming back on here every day. I want to try and do it this way and see if it helps.
So onto weekend goals!
Goals for the weekend of July 25-28
1. DO/KEEP UP WITH THE DISHES!!
2. Laundry/PUT THE CLOTHES AWAY!!!
3. Research ABA therapy companies in the area
4. Research resume writing tips
5. Start story outline
6. Vaccum
7. Self-love(Reading)
8. Lobster Dinner w/ Dad
9. Food shopping/meal prep

Yeah Marley can definitely stand her ground, shes really funny how she goes about it too.
Like you know when you ask a kid to do something and they whine about it, well marley just says no. Dead boldly.. like this lol.. (with the hand and eeverything)
Yeah i dont think hed actually go, his mum would probs send him right back LOL.
But he has his own mental health issues so for me id just rather him be happy and not stressed.
Theyve actually been good today, most of it stems from Saskia, so her being good reduces alot of the problems.
She tried to do the same thing Again today, trying to take marleys milk when she'd drunk her own, i sent her to her room to think about why it was wrong, she came back down, said sorry to Marley and to me and said its wrong because its hers and i shouldnt try taking it off her, i should ask you instead.
Hurrahhh!
Think shes getting it now.2 -
Since I talked my neice into running a 2 mile race I figured I should go make sure I can run 2 miles. I swear 2 miles is longer than it used to be. My pace is well under hers, but right now I have to walk some. Withme walking, my time is pretty much equal to hers. What I can’t figure out is how to slow my run down enough to match her pace on my own. I think if she’s with me it will be ok. I’ve got a little over 2 weeks to clean it up, but that should be enough.0
-
@bex953172 - does having the girls misbehave with Ash make you more stressed? When Rodger used to drive truck I liked when he was gone better because his reactions to their misbehaving always set me on edge. At least if they were misbehaving and it was just me I only had them to del with. I hope Marley wasn’t too injured and learned a valuable lesson.
Glad you had a better day today, keep up with the same rules day after day and they’ll get it.
@Faebert - I wish I could get to your level of dedication.
@clicketykeys - good luck on the callback!
@aubyshortcake - it will be nice to have it all clean and ready before you move in. A lot of work and probably taking lots of patience though.
@AJB1014 - I was thinking about you last night and wondering how you were feeling. Take the time you need to rest. I hope that the work situation works itself out soon.
@nlmackey98 - I think it’s awesome that you asked your niece about running. I will never be a runner!
@HEGoddard0928 - I too am struggling to get on here in the mornings especially. When I wasn’t working I was spending on average 2 hours a day on here. I can’t do that now and am struggling to even find 20 minutes.
Is the Mom not allowing the boy to push himself some? My SIL has cerebral palsy, her mother tried to hold her back out of fear that she would be hurt but she fought her and anyone that tried to stop her. I think she is very mobile and capable because of it.
@PackerFanInGB - I am keeping my goals in my head at least but can’t seem to get them written down. I need to come up with a better plan.
This morning I woke up early with work on my mind. I started this job 3 weeks behind and then with my sporadic hours the first three weeks I worked I am 6 weeks behind. I am trying to get it caught up by July 31 so I start August off on the right foot. So I went into work. I have 11 batches of payables I brought home tonight to code so I can enter tomorrow.
This is not an expectation of the manor, just my need to get it right and caught up so I can spend some time doing some of the other things I want to.
I need to contact Lauryn and see if she needs her car back tonight or tomorrow night. We really need another car I think

Euhhh i hated cleaning my house when i moved in. Although the carpets had been ripped out for us, the do a "light" clean but all the walls and crevices were filthy. The previous owner had a dog so there was just grimey hair in every nook and cranny.
I remember when we were moving our stuff, i waited at the new house, moving boxes to relevant rooms whilst Ash and his mum and friend got the next load. The first thing i did was look for the "cleaning products" box and got the glass cleaner out. The front windows were covered in dog snot!
The best thing we bought though was UPVC cleaner, that did all our window frames and doors amazingly! I would recommend it if you have upvc.

JFT- Friday July 26
2L of water
Log all food
Be Grateful
I was woken up this morning by Rodger which was unusual as he is usually at work when I wake up. I knew immediately something was wrong. He had come home from work because my cousin passed away, my BF had called to tell him so I didn’t see it on Facebook.
While he was telling me her daughter called me. They don’t know yet what happened. She just turned 51 in June. She was exactly three months older than me and we were married a week apart. I babysat her three children. My heart just breaks for them to have lost their mom so young.3 -

Scale goalsEnd of 2017: 174.6
End of 2018: 189.2
January 2019: 186.0
February 2019: 187.0
Today: 191.0
Ongoing plans/ideas behind the cut1. Purchases: Go to Mac store and see if they can retrieve the files off the iMac. Look for an "ugly Christmas sweater" and a long-haired doll at thrift stores. Practice French braiding. Go to used bookstore and look for Design for How People Learn (Julie Dirksen), On Writing (Stephen King), Dying for a Paycheck (Robin Hardman), The Prince (tr. Tim Parks, Russell Price, or Robert Adams), The Secret Adversary (Christie).
2. E2: What should the controlling ideas be in a study of world literature? Review world lit options. Create vocabulary lists for each unit that come from the texts used: Animal Farm, Julius Caesar, Wes Moore, I Am Malala. Find a way to incorporate changing words from one part of speech to another. Students need to know how to review multiple sources and synthesize information in order to draw a conclusion. Need practice with the difference between transitions and overlapping (at end of paragraph - "another issue is Y" vs "there are other issues besides X"). Quit using "in conclusion" and "I believe" and other writing-about-my-writing phrases. Confusion between direct/indirect objects and prepositional phrases. Use the UDHR and the Declaration of Independence to study paraphrasing; use that to front-load Machiavelli and how to deal with challenging texts. Confusion between everyday / every day and similar constructions.
3. E1: Need practice with quoting & paraphrasing sources, identifying claims that would need support, use of last names for reference, and capitalization practice (common/proper nouns, titles). Difficulty using possessive nouns in their own writing. Honors: practice subject/object pronouns (my friend and I / my friend and me). Poetry: Revise "Songs are Poetry" handouts.
4. Curriculum Development: Writing mini-unit. Review scholarly research on 5PE. (I think I can have this as an intro to the research unit so that they also get exposure to how quotes are integrated and cited.) Parallel structure; use of emotional language, specific detail. Use "Write About a Pebble" lesson from Atwell. How long should each unit take? Do research on characteristics: curiosity, persistence, resilience, creativity, responsibility, optimism, courage, integrity, authenticity, leadership, self-awareness, humility, compassion - others? Include grammarly check on essays! Review assessments. What is the purpose for each unit? What should the controlling ideas be in a study of world literature? Review world lit options. Schedule assessments for Fall 2019; plan out return times. Align assessments with OW units. Write 1 reflection weekly; type one in Classroom by Weds. Copy-paste to PB for comments due Friday. PB usernames 6 digits, no 19 or 20s, no birthdates. Homework: Online journal Mon due Tue; Reflection Tue due Wed; C&P journal in class Wed; Comments Thu due Fri. Bonus if you are the first response; further bonus if you respond to comments on your post. Grammar practice Mon & Wed; quiz Fri.
5. Professional Development: Write blog post weekly. Comment on 3 posts each week -Tu Th Sun? Check with PSC. Talk with Z about articles and/or conference proposals. NOTE: ATTEND POST FLEX DAY RATHER THAN PRE FLEX DAY.
6. Medical: Dentist. Onco. PCP. ObG. GET MAGAZINES FOR COLLAGES FROM DOCTORS.
7. Theater: MM first rehearsal 7/29. Next?
8. House: Mineral oil on tile spots. Check with D about ceiling and taking items to the dump.
9. Fun: Open beading on Thursdays. Coloring at library on Tuesday. Put jewelry away. Edney Hack Nights alt Weds. ASL? Spanish/Portuguese practice? Practice piano. ROL Secret Adversary. Get bikes fixed.
10. Volunteering ideas: Theater. Library. Animal shelter.
WFTY: Climbing. I didn't get the role I wanted - and I really, REALLY wanted it - but I'm in the ensemble. Right now that doesn't feel like much, but I think it'll sting less in awhile.
Not a lot planned for today. Mostly just nursing some hurt feelings.2 -

@Snowflake1968 big hugs to you. It is always hard to lose someone we love and doubly so when they are taken so young. I'll keep you and your family in my prayers.
@clicketykeys sorry you didn't get the roll, but the ensemble can be a blast! I hope you enjoy the show.
Doing well today on all fronts, well I did have a candy bar, but I think I can swing that calorie wise. I was nearly on time for work and I showered and made myself presentable. That is huge these days. It is typically nearly on time in a ball cap or late with my hair done. AND I have goals for today even though its kind of late in the day to post them I will.
JFT Friday afternoon on
- Continue to review and approve the endless list of documents in my in box.
- If I can stand it work over a bit to make up time from yesterday.
- Home by 6:00
- Run, maybe. I don't usually run 2 days in a row, but I am not running far we'll see maybe I'll walk tonight & run in the morning.
- Try to have a sensible dinner. I've been extremely bad about this lately.
- Laundry
- Bible reading, I just finished Leviticus.
- Gratitude/Prayer Journal. I have so many people to pray for I can hardly remember them anymore.
- 0 or 1 snack after dinner.
- No alcohol
- Bed by 11:00
I'm always late getting on here so here are my goals for tomorrow as well.
JFT Saturday
- Get up early and go run assuming I don't run this evening.
- Self Defense Class at 11:00 with my youngest.
- Church to help with the backpack distribution.
- Lunch
- Go for a bike ride or take a nap. It's a toss up with the heat.
- Pick up around the house & do more laundry
- Dinner
- No alcohol
- Bible & Gratitude/Prayer Journal
Positive Thought for the Day:
Even when we feel out of control, we still have choices.1 -
Hi all, another off day for me today. Not sure what’s going on. The combination of the heat plus the comedown after a relentless school year. My body and brain have pretty much just said “no!” this week. I did manage to get out with the kids to the shopping centre. I used gift vouchers given as a thank you from parents of kids in my class to put towards a new dishwasher - it’s been nearly a year since the old one broke! The kids got a few bits and I got my eyebrows threaded. Not a very exciting day but a little productive I guess.
I’m just trying not to stress at a bad weigh-in I’ve had and not to beat myself up for being less active this week. I’ve not had the childcare to follow my usual routine, and I’ve actually achieved lots of important jobs on the domestic front. So why do I feel like I’ve failed?! Must learn to silence that negative voice in my head...
Thursday goals recap:
- morning workout ✅
- put away laundry and change sheets in spare room ✅
- take kids out for lunch ✅
- health food store ✅
- home for shopping delivery at 3 ✅
- garden tidy up❎ too hot, then thunderstorms!
- research dishwasher✅
- amazon order✅
- movie night with kids❎ they changed their minds
- bed by 10:30 (need to be more realistic with bedtime goals this summer!)❎ still no!
Friday goals:
- head to shopping centre for 10:30 ✅
- buy dishwasher? ✅
- eyebrows ✅
- house clean 😕 started but not finished
- cut back front garden at least if rain stops ❎
- lay out kit for warrior class
- bed by 11
Hope you are all having a good day and send you lots of love and hugs and hopes for a good weekend x2 -
@Snowflake1968 So sorry to hear about your cousin. Prayers and condolences to you and your family at this sad time.0

Morning all. Had a good start to the weekend after a pretty rubbish week. Weight is down a bit and hopefully if I can get back on track the rest of the water weight will pass. Smashed it in my Warrior class this morning. Garmin gave me 700+ calories burned for an hour! Now the challenge is to stay within goal and not eat those back while at bf’s place tonight.
Friday goals recap:
- head to shopping centre for 10:30 ✅
- buy dishwasher? ✅
- eyebrows ✅
- house clean 😕 started but not finished
- cut back front garden at least if rain stops ❎
- kids hair wash and pack for weekend with their dad ✅
- lay out kit for warrior class ✅
- bed by 11 ❎
Saturday goals:
- house cleaning ✅
- kids up and ready for their dad at 8:30 ✅
- Warrior class 9:30 ✅
- tan ✅
- head to bf’s place evening
- stay within calorie goal
- bed at reasonable hour
Happy weekend all x1 -
@Snowflake1968 I am so sorry for your loss, my condolences to you and your family. Big hugs 💖💖
@Bex953172 thank you, I will have to look into that cleaner, we definitely need it!
So I finally have some time to write out an update.. oh man where to begin.. If you do not read this incoming wall of text I don't blame you!
The day we closed we did our walkthrough and the guy had moved his furniture out but all his personal items were still there. His grandson was slowly packing items and the contents of the kitchen cabinets were covering the countertops. The realtors (a husband and wife team) were helping them pack! We told them that's fine as we were not planning on bringing things over until the next day anyway (last Saturday).
The next day we started bringing things over and the realtors were hauling 3 trailer loads of the guy's stuff to his new house. He had a lot of junk that they had to put at the street and they scheduled the county to come pick it up. His late wife's SUV was still sitting in the driveway because apparently he had lost the keys.
When we get inside there is still stuff in there.. his towel is hanging on the rack, all his shower stuff is still in there, there's stuff in the cabinets, linen closets, etc. And he stashed a bunch of dirty Tupperware in the dishwasher! Also still junk furniture on the back porch 🤦♀️. So, we had to put all this crap in the pile at the street.
The house itself is in good shape but it's just so dirty, I scrubbed out the fridge for like 3 hours and there were like 300 dead fruit flies in the bottom floating in mystery liquid. We've been cleaning every single day. Yesterday i found cat puke on the bedroom windowsill. There is also a really bad infestation of those tiny sugar ants that we're trying to get rid of.
On Sunday my dad and his friend came up with a uhaul to help us out and the previous homeowner showed up. He and my dad ended up getting in an argument and then he went in the garage and started going through some stuff he left picking out what he wanted, this is after Alex already had to clear out most of his junk from the garage just to put our stuff in. He was there for like an hour and I was so uncomfortable but afraid to say anything because the neighbors told us how he tried to pull a gun on a bicyclist that almost hit his truck so idk if he is even all there or what!
I asked him what else he wanted trying to be nice and he said he wanted the two staghorn ferns in the back because they were his wife's. I told him that was fine and we have 3 guys here that can help him put them in his truck (they are massive). He said no and that he'd come back later with his grandson to get them🙄. I guess they came back the next day and got one but the other was just left knocked over in the yard. As far as we're concerned he had a chance that we did not have to give him and we do not want him coming back to the property.
Anyways.. the realtors and the guy all talked to a mechanic that was supposed to tow the car away yesterday (a week after closing) but when we got there last night it was still there. The huge pile of junk in front of the house that has also been there over a week is supposed to be picked up next Tuesday. It's been raining every day and that pile is starting to smell.
Needless to say we're stressed out, but our goal for today is to set up some stuff so we can sleep there for the first time tonight.
Enough of my rambling, I hope you all have a great day!

I failed at my goals yesterday but I got a lot accomplished at work and will be starting the week off much better than I have the two previous weeks.
My diet is atrocious! I need to get it under control or I’ll be back up to 200. I’m just being lazy and don’t feel like cooking or thinking about meals.

@clicketykeys - I’m sorry you didn’t get the role you really wanted but hope you have fun with the production anyway.
@faebert - glad you had a good morning.
@aubyshortcake - wow! What a mess you’ve got in your hands. Once you get it done though you’ll make it yours and feel so much better!0 -
I had such a weird but nice dream last night, i dreamt i was in the kitchen, cant remember what i was doing but i was just there. And a little tan and white hamster was walking at the back of the counter, and then hopping onto the oven then onto the next counter. And i woke up after i picked it up and cuddled it LOL!1
-
@clicketykeys So sorry you didn’t get that role. Hoping that being in the ensemble will be a compensation.
@aubyshortcake OMG! What a saga! I hope you can get it sorted soon, and stamp your own mark on the place.

Scale goalsEnd of 2017: 174.6
End of 2018: 189.2
January 2019: 186.0
February 2019: 187.0
Today: 194.2
6. Medical: Dentist Oct 29 8 AM. Onco Oct 22 9:30. PCP Sept 18 10:15. ObG Oct 22 10:30. GET MAGAZINES FOR COLLAGES FROM DOCTORS.
7. Theater: MM first rehearsal 7/29. Next?
8. House: Mineral oil on tile spots. Check with D about ceiling and taking items to the dump.
9. Fun: Open beading on Thursdays. Coloring at library on Tuesday. Put jewelry away. Edney Hack Nights alt Weds. ASL? Spanish/Portuguese practice? Practice piano. ROL Secret Adversary. Get bikes fixed.
10. Volunteering ideas: Theater. Library. Animal shelter.
WFTY: Climbing. Husband made bread for the department picnic and it was soooo good, hahaha! I overate - not by a lot, but definitely more than I needed or allowed for.
The show I'm in is Mamma Mia. I'm in the ensemble, and it's a musical, so I'll get to do a lot of the songs even though I don't have the part I wanted.1 -

Plenty to do tomorrow but its supposed to be a hot day so I'll start early and hopefully get a bit done. Feeling unprepared and cluttered so my eating had been less than stellar, alittle diasapointed bur reminding myself its only an opportunity to do better.

3. Log in again tomorrow, be accountable.2 -
@clicketykeys I adore Mama Mia. (And Abba!) You will have such a ball! Your plans/ideas spoiler makes interesting reading. Are you lecturing? Your students are very lucky to have you if you are.2
