Had a really nice family day so not sweating the goals I did not meet. I do need to get back into enrichment games for the dog since outside time is minimal. I have a few habits id liken to incorporate and refresh, that being one, and also breathing and stretching techniques. Im going to purchase a video called "spinning babies" which is designed specifically to get baby into a good laboring position and ready mom for a comfortable birth. My only real birth plan right now is to be as ready and healthy as possible for a natural birth, but also be open to any interventions and pain management needed. DH is working til 5 now, long days 6am-5pm but that gives me 30 minutes of alone time to focus on exercises and meditation.

I think that is the best birth plan ever. Honestly, I think it's good to have an idea for one but just remember it's probably not going to go as planned lol!
Ive seen where women have planned it to every detail and when it's gone completely off their ideal plan it's upset them in a way? Which I get, but there's kind of no planning for it, there's no knowing what could happen apart from the fact that one way or another, a baby is coming out lol!
So being open to interventions and pain reliefs is good, kind of a go-with-the-flow birth plan! Which sounds like you have!

I sometimes wonder why I'm still coming onto MFP, as I'm really not making the effort. I hope it is keeping weight in my mind so I don't go up. For the first half of this year I was concentrating on achieving less back and leg pain, and being happy and grateful. Now, with all the problems with parents, I just feel as if all the joy has been sucked out of my life. I get up in the morning and my heart sinks knowing what the day will hold. Don't get me wrong, I want my parents cared for and I'm doing everything I need to. I just don't always want to do it, it's relentless, every day. When I need to take the occasional day away for my business I feel guilty. I miss doing the things I used to. And there's no happy ending on the horizon, I know it will get worse. Ugh, so sorry for moaning, it's not something you can really discuss in real life.

I think it's great that you're still coming on here, with everything you have going on. It's very easy to gain when life gets tough - I imagine checking in here will be helping you avoid that, just by making you think about it regular.
I'm so sorry you are having such a rubbish time at the moment. I totally understand that it's hard work and that you don't want to do it every day. I don't think anyone would and I am full of admiration for your resilience in keeping doing it.
You mentioned having a day away for your business, but it sounds to me like sometimes you might need a break for yourself? It's important to take time to look after yourself as well, whether that be self-care or spending time with loved ones who can boost you a little bit. Or doing something fun! I guess it's difficult when you are busy but to me a quick phone call/ quick soak in the tub/ quick cat video can work wonders.
Take care and never feel guilty for moaning. We all moan occasionally and you have more reason to than most! Xx4 -

I am SO ready for another challenge. With being sick for 2 weeks, I've been drinking a lot of orange juice, plus we just got back from seeing our son for his wedding reception .. so too much food, alcohol, and my weight is up. So time to really buckle down!

My 3 year old Marley is an absolute devil child ATM.
I went in with the go with the flow attitude and everything that happened I wouldn't have even thought of! In every pregnancy. So I'm glad o didn't have a plan lol!!2 -

It's a bit like me, my journey isn't exactly going anywhere BUT by logging on and being around it I'm still ON my journey. Even if it's on a break.
I feel like if I stopped coming on and posting (even though I don't post goals) then I've truly given up!
Keep going, i hope you find a way to catch a break irl. Sounds like you deserve one. When things are relentless it does get very stressful very quickly and it's hard to get out of it. But I just hope you can find some respite

I feel bad we have to start the Discard 5 lb challenge over, because I did go back up 2 lbs. I had a feeling it was water weight that would come back on when I ate crappy at the Tailgate party we had at work. Sorry!
I'm working with a new provider at a clinic all day today and probably tomorrow also. It throws off my eating habits so it's been a bit of a challenge. I usually pack a lunch and eat at my desk. Today I had to run out, so instead of going for fast food, I ran home and grabbed a few things out of the fridge and chuffed those down. Malt o Meal hot cereal; carrot and celery with hummus, and mixed nuts. Grabbed an apple that I sliced up and threw in a baggy for a snack later.
I watched a documentary on Netflix this weekend that was really interesting. It was about the effects of eating meat for protein versus eating plant based foods to get nutrients. I cannot think of the name of it, but wondered if anyone else saw it and what your thoughts were if you did... Do we have anyone on here who doesn't eat meat? I don't know how a person could possibly get enough protein without eating meat but it intrigued me enough (the results) that I'm curious to learn more now.
Hoping to get outside tonight with Maddie for a nice evening walk. I don't like walking in the dark, but I bought some accessories to hang on her collar and put on my shoes and jacket that light up and blink so cars can see us and my husband is getting me a head lamp to wear over my hat so I can see, so we'll see.

Well today has just started awfully.
I got the girls ready for school, put Casey back in bed after breakfast with a cup of tea just before I head out for the school run. She starts screaming the place down so she was gonna wake Ash. That stressed me out big time. But I had to go. Now I left earlier than normal because 1) it's Marley walking today as well and 2) because it was chucking it down and very windy.
So yeah girls are under a big umbrella for a short while then Marley just braved the rain lol!
But she was walking SO slow. Like at some points I felt like she wasn't even moving. So o had to stand next to her and just push her slightly to up the speed to a normal toddler pace. Which obviously she hated so she cried all the way there. Saskia was good as gold with the brolly but I had to help her and hold it when the wind was blowing like crazy so she didn't take off!
Then ash rings me half way there going on about Casey screaming and I basically just told him to do one because I was having a hard enough time as it was.
Then Marley didn't want to go to nursery and was crying, she's tired, and she just wasn't happy at all. Anyway I've left her there, they said they'd ring if she didn't settle but 90% of the time they do so hopefully that's that.
I'm soaked, I'm cold.
Hoping I can turn the day around.
It's parents evening tonight too, but I'm looking forward to that, Saskias been doing so well recently. She got a certificate from the headteacher for going "above and beyond!"5 -

I've been trying to encourage myself and think ahead. I lose weight quite slowly probably due to the limited exercise I can manage. So if I want to be wearing my smaller clothes by the time it gets warmer next year, I have around 6 months. It's not so long and I'm sure it will go by quickly. So telling myself to focus on next summer!

@littleblackskirt I agree with what the others have already said. Looking after aging parents can be very difficult. The emotions you are feeling are entirely natural, so please do not add guilt to your burden. Vent here if you need to let off steam. Coming here is a positive step as it can focus your mind on keeping fit and healthy. As for weight loss, slow is good, as the weight loss is more likely to be sustainable.

Not in the morning, tbh it's best to let her cry it out in the morning because she always goes sleep. I just can't leave her on her own downstairs when I take the girls to school. It's not so bad when markets there too.
Cause of his disorders, he just needs to get rest and then he'll be fine for the day, but if he has to get up he'll be in a foul mood all day so we agreed that I would do it every morning. Sounds weird but I'd rather him be able to help me through the day than not at all.
I can get up early, I might be grumpy because I am NOT a morning person but I can deal with it lol!3 -

First time posting in this! Great idea for a thread.
My story is that I have gained about 30 pounds in the past three years and I have a lot of special occasions coming up in 2020 that I would really like to be happy in myself for. So here goes!
JFT Tuesday:
1. 2 litres of water.
2. No binge.
3. Prep meals for tomorrow.
4. Stay away from unhealthy treats in workplace.
5. Drink water and not hot chocolate at the break in nightclass.6 -
Not in the morning, tbh it's best to let her cry it out in the morning because she always goes sleep. I just can't leave her on her own downstairs when I take the girls to school. It's not so bad when markets there too.
Cause of his disorders, he just needs to get rest and then he'll be fine for the day, but if he has to get up he'll be in a foul mood all day so we agreed that I would do it every morning. Sounds weird but I'd rather him be able to help me through the day than not at all.
I can get up early, I might be grumpy because I am NOT a morning person but I can deal with it lol!
A lot of work for you in the morning then, but I totally get why it works for you if he can then help later in the day.
I think I must be a morning person, I always got up early for work, but I'm completely flagging by 9pm3 -

Haha I probably would be better in the morning if I didn't go to bed at 1am to get up at 7.30 LOL
But I dunno, when the girls are in bed at like half 7 latest, sometimes me and ash have a different tea (like a curry) so we have that after they're in bed then we clean up a bit then watch telly, we don't get any time in the day to chill then I like to play games on my pad lol!!3 -

You've picked a good time to start then lol! We're doing a "discard 5lb challenge" basically just whoever loses 5lbs first wins and then it starts over. We're on round 5 ATM. But it only started a couple days ago!
Rules are asking but as the scale shows 5lb loss you win (don't worry about water weight or sickness because weight fluctuates too much)
Erm, no extreme dieting.
And just make sure you're scales are accurate and you weigh yourself in the same place and a couple of times to make sure it's right3 -

Good day yesterday all things considered. I did well and ate zero junk during the training course. This course is challenging for me as it is for a field Iβm moving into not one that I have a lot of experience in. Most in here are very experienced and my learning curve is steep. Today we are doing a social evening, that will be challenging intake wise.

Was in a mood after work yesterday. I let it get the better of me...and angrily did chores for longer than I had allotted. Then sat on the couch being sulky. DH was up late doing a test for an engineering opportunity so I also stayed up too late too. But im just riding the waves of my emotions, knowing they come and go pretty fast. I certainly could have downloaded and done daily essentials so no excuse there. I think I'll reassess my goal on that and ease my way into it doing just a few of the practices per day for 2 weeks and then I'll buy the video. I'm really proud to say i havent gained any weight in 2 weeks though! And I feel like I'm getting my groove back as far as healthy habits so i hope to keep up the minimal weight gain!

7. Practice 2 daily essentials; cat cow stretch and inversion.
8. Pay PayPal
9. Daily reminders to carry until completed; pay short term disability insurance, pay tolls bill, pay cable, hospital tour on Friday, thanksgiving farm order, pick paint colors, give mom final shower addresses.

11. Bed by 9, lights out by 9303
