What you don't know about me? There's probably a lot. The one thing I'm most proud of is that I was in the US Air Force for 15 years and, one of my duties was to help launch the GPS satellites...my name is floating around in space somewhere, as we got to sign a piece of the heat shield on one of the satellites.

Today after work, I took my dog for a 30 minute walk. I had talked myself out of running today - was going to put it off until tomorrow. But, it was so nice out and who knows what tomorrow will bring, so I actually talked myself INTO running. I did 30 minutes and went 2.2 miles. That's a slight improvement over the last time I did this run.

Good luck to everyone racing this weekend!!!

That is so freaking spectacular! WTG on talking yourself into a run today too...

    WOW!! So cool.

I got to see the ISS while it was still on the ground, but they would not let me write on it :(

No run tonight had to work late. Yay.

Got 10 planned for tomorrow, and 20 for Sunday so still might finish this week strong yet! :)

My thingy for placing 2nd in AG at the St Jude Marathon Weekend 5k in December finally arrived in the mail today! I never won a thingy before!

That is super cool! As a side note, we are first-name twins, but I don't think that I've ever met someone with our name born before 1980. I was born in 1983, i.e. peak Thorn Birds era. It took me a long time to appreciate what a nice name it is given how common it was when I was growing up.

It was rare when I was growing up (born 1968) but curiously my best friend in high school was another. And there were a sprinkling earlier than that, since I was named for my mom's partner in her birthing class, who was from Scotland, where maybe it was more common.

Since it was rare when I was little, I had a whole different set of experiences from yours - I was always annoyed that those name plates for kids' bicycles didn't come with my name, and no one could pronounce it!

At 38 I still get excited to see my name on something. It's still hard to find.
