I've met five U.S. Supreme Court Justices. Not exactly celebrities to most people but they are in my world. Justices O'Connor and Sotomayor are awe-inspiring. They look like unassuming women and then they begin to talk, and you hang on their every word. They are such smart, accomplished women.

When I was a radio DJ, I interviewed Shinedown, 12 Stones, Unloco, and Big Dismal. The first 2 bands are pretty famous I guess. The guys from Shinedown were AMAZING. And Paul Mccoy from 12 Stones was a big sweetie pie. You'd remember him as the male half from the song by Evanescene "Bring Me to Life."

This past week, I got to meet James Marsters, Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, at Comic Con. It was my birthday, so he shouted my favorite of his lines at me: BEAR! YOU MADE A BEAR! UNDO IT UNDO IT!

    hehehe

Oh yeah, I also met Jerry Springer and Steve Wilcos, but I promise I wasn't a guest on their shows.

I met Bob Barker when he was hosting the Miss USA Pageant. I was a lucky guy getting to escort Miss Alabama across the stage (long story from my youth). Talked to Bob during a rehearsal, he was very nice, his on-air personality seems to be his real personality.

Um, well, do porn stars count?

I met quite a few during Exxxotica in Chicago last month. :blushing:

The ones I met were very sweet, not what I was expecting at all. Kind of gave me an ego boost.

This is not one I witnessed, but a friend of mine was walking her dog (a Greyhound) and Gerard Butler was walking his dog...they passed in the street and her dog went over for a friendly sniff of his dog as they like to do, and he SLAPPED her dog HARD right across the face, said some choice cuss words and just walked away. I've never been able to look at him the same.

I've heard he's a pretty big douche. And very full of himself.
I hope your friend let him have it.

Nearly everyone on Supernatural.. (My favorite show)

Mark Sheppard - Dr. Who, X Files, Supernatural, Firefly, Leverage - he spent about 5 hours with my friends and I in the lobby of the Sheraton Park Westin, talking about TV and politics.

Denzel Washington - Met him in the elevator going up from the parking garage at the Arclight theater on Sunset in Hollywood. I actually didn't recognize him until he spoke. He looks really ordinary in person.

Brendan Fraser - Met him at the Mummy Returns premier. I was also an extra in one of his movies.

Mickey Dolenz - My mom was dating a record industry guy. He went to pick Mickey up at the airport and we went with him. My mom had dinner with them both that night.

Bruce Campbell - Met him a book signing for one of his books. Chatted with him a little. At the time, his brother and I worked for the same company. (different cities)

Judson Scott - Xfiles, The Phoenix, Brisco County Jr. - Met him at the Mummy Returns premier. He was very cool.. he went and got a top off on his drink, then sat and chatted with my friends and I for about an hour.

Oded Fehr - The Mummy, Resident Evil - Mummy Returns Premier.

Dee Wallace - Texas Frightmare weekend a few years ago. 2007, I think. Very nice. She wanted to know what horror movies were my favorites.

Malcolm McDowell - Texas Frightmare weekend 2007. Seemed nice but he was pretty rushed.

Anthony Michael Hall - Breakfast Club, pretty much every 80's movie guy - Texas Frightmare weekend 2011. I asked him if he was going to go sightseeing instead of just doing cons and getting back on a plane, and he told me about some of his sightseeing plans.

Michael Biehn - Terminator, Dark Side of the Moon, etc - Texas Frightmare weekend 2011 - weird guy. He liked it that one of my front teeth is crooked.

Jennifer Runyon - 18 again, Ghostbusters, Quantum Leap pilot - Texas Frightmare weekend 2011 - very nice. Was surprised I remembered her from Quantum Leap and a couple other old TV shows. I guess most people just remember Ghostbusters.

Julie Newmar - Batman - Some radio station event when I was in high school. Around 1981 maybe. She was very sweet.

Gil Birmingham - Twilight - a Native American art festival in Arlington about 3 years ago. He liked it that I remembered him from Buffy instead of asking him a bunch of Twilight crap.

    some 70's TV people..

The guys who played the cops on Adam 12..Kent McCord and Martin Milner. This was at some comic book thing when I was a kid. Both of them seemed cool.

Richard Hatch from the old Battlestar Galactica. - Same event - really nice guy.

Steven Tyler - Staying at a hotel in Dallas where a friend of mine worked. I went up to visit her one night and ran into him in the lobby/hallway.

Duff and Slash from Guns and Roses - At a club called "On The Rocks" in Dallas 1988 after they opened for INXS. Slash - cool. My boyfriend bought him a drink and he talked to us for a bit. Duff - wasted, and tried to look down my dress.

All the members of the band Hurricane in the 80's. in fact, a lot of "one album" bands from the 80's. I went to a lot of concerts.

My cousin went to high school with LeeAnn Rimes. Not much to report. she was supposedly a bit on the quiet side.

Holy crap, Smantha32, you've met a LOT of celebs!

Me? Well, I got a KISS from Harry Chapin during one of his last concerts (in Duluth MN) before he died in a tragic accident. I bought one of his books of poetry/lyrics, and he kissed me after signing it. Very cool guy, and awesome singer/songwriter.

I brushed past Bud Grant of the MN Vikings (coach from a long time ago) and said Hi to him.........he said HI back :)

I also saw Daunte Culpepper, also of said Vikings, in the airport in Mpls. He was a very BIG presence in the corridor, and dressed in a snazzy white suit, lots of bling.

That's about it.............................................Oh, I know where Bob Dylan was born, and took a pic of my brother on his porch steps.

Knew my childhood idol Bill Goldberg (Pro Wrestler in WCW) was going to be somewhere.. Went there and took a newspaper article that compared me to him and he was super awesome about it. He told me that fans like me were the reason he wrestled. He pulled me aside and recorded a video to put on twitter. He also took a bunch of pics with me and my family. Got a hug, some autographs, and an unforgettable experience.

Seriously! That, or I'd swiftly get ahold of TMZ and let them run with the story.

I went to a very small boarding school with Paris Hilton. She obviously wasn't famous (infamous) at that point (we were 16/17 years old) but she was still just as awful as you would imagine. Luckily she didn't like the school and her parents pulled her out.

I met David Boreanaz back when "Buffy" was fairly new. It was a meet and greet at a charity thing. He seemed kind of nervous and shy, which was actually kind of sweet, The same night, I got a picture of Patrick Duffy ("Dallas" and "The Man From Atlantis"). He was very gracious.

I met Geraint Wyn Davies (played Nicholas Knight on "Forever Night") at the same charity thing and again the following year. He was very sweet and gave fantastic hugs.

I also met Kevin Smith, the Kiwi actor who played Ares on "Hercules" and "Xena", not the American film producer. Kev was great and it was a sad day when he passed away.

I got to meet Kat Von D. She was really nice and seemed a little bit vulnerable, which was unexpected. I also got to meet Sean Astin and his wife one time. Very warm people. Hawaii is a small island, so sometimes I'll see people around here, but I don't get to actually meet them. Also got to see President Obama. You can always tell when he's in town because he f***s up downtown traffic even more than it already is.

Richard Seymour when he was with the Patriots, I managed a sandwich shop in MA, he was a real quiet dude, tried to be unassuming, but it's tough to not be noticed at 6'6" 300+.

At the same shop I had Adam Viniatieri as a regular customer, as he lived around the block from the shop. Really cool guy, he loved the fact that we went out of our way not to call attention to him if the shop was crowded, but he'd hang out and chat for awhile if nobody else was there.

Also met an assortment of pro wrestlers over the years. Rob Van Dam, Booker T, Jerry Lawler, Eddie Guerrero, Kane, Edge, Christian, Lita, and others.

I've never really understood the big deal of meeting celebrities. They're just people. Some of them are awesome to chat with, some of then are *kitten*, just like everybody else you meet in life.
