5/3 - 196.0 - There's that drop But I've already let myself get waayyy too hungry and made a not-so-healthy choice for lunch Hoping that doesn't derail me too much, need to get better about that
5/4 - 196.4 - We had pizza last night, so not surprise by the slight bump up and expect another bump up tomorrow. Will try to reign it in today and tomorrow so this bump up is just temporary
5/5 - 197.4 - Yep, expected. Today we are going to a birthday party but will try to make good choices.
5/6 - 196.0 - Yay! So happy to see this number this morning! Had a couple cupcakes yesterday and that may show up tomorrow, but I'm still happy

05/03--207.6 Lowest weight in about 3 years. Went to trainer yesterday...my trainer complimented me on my strong back, I felt really good. Hubby and I practiced our dancing last night.
05/04--207.6 Going for a run today, The weather is supposed to be great here today so later hubby and I will be taking the dog for a long walk and then going out for dinner.
05/05--207.4 Perfect weather in the PNW yesterday for a run...ran for 4.5 miles. I went out for dinner yesterday and ate something that I have a food sensitivity to so I expect a bump up in the scale over the next couple of days, but I made a conscious decision to eat the food so I'm okay with that. Went to the gym this morning. My husband was impressed that he could see the definition in my shoulder muscles as I was tying my shoes...it's funny how a compliment about something like shoulder muscles could make my day.
05/06--208.5 There's the jump I was expecting. I woke up with a tummy ache and felt heavy, so I knew the weight gain was because of me eating food I was sensitive to, but back to my non-sensitive food eating today. Doctor's appointment today and run later today.
05/07--208.3 Ran 2 miles yesterday, was going to run longer but it was a little too humid. Trainer tonight.
05/08--208.7 Sore from trainer yesterday and was so hungry when I got home. Snacked and didn't drink a lot of water today. Will make sure to get water in today. Run today and then yoga.
05/09-208.5 Was pretty warm when I went out to run yesterday so I cut the run a little short. Yoga was great. Trainer tonight.

05/03 - 139.9 (+.7) great way to start 😂 I think I’m retaining water because TOM is coming. Will see how it plays out. If TOM is close I should have a good drop during round. 🤞🏻
05/04 - 140.2 (+.3) no idea what’s going on. I’m not eating over my calories. I’m exercising a ton. Drinking a ton of water. Should be going the other way but it is what it is. I’m guessing it’s bloat and water retention since there’s not much else I can attribute it to. Going to keep at it and hope for the best in the coming days.
05/05 - 140.3 (+.1) I have no idea what’s happening. I am thinking maybe I’m holding on to water because I’m fighting a cold. I’m still able to eat and have energy but still fighting a head cold. Not sure what else could be happening. I’m eating good and doing more activities than ever.
05/06 - 140.4 (+.1) TOM hit today (a bit early), maybe this is what has been causing the water retention. Hope to shed the excess in a few days.
05/07 - 140.9 (+.5) Not even sure what to do anymore 😂 I’m eating good, below my calories, working out like a mad woman and still keep gaining.
05/08 - 139.1 (-1.8) finally lost some of the water retention. Still about a pound up from where I was before though. I’ve been working pretty hard the last week and would have expected better results but I’m glad I’m finally down again. Only 4 days left to make goal so I can’t see it happening unless there is more water weight to lose. On a positive note I am looking smaller, clothes fitting better, and muscles are popping. 💪🏻

05/05: 168.2 wahhhhh Maybe the delayed effects of the alcohol Friday night? Oh well, it's cleaning day at my house. Since our 2 week vacation, illness, husband out of town, and super busy weeks I don't think my house has EVER been so cluttered and dirty. It's time to tackle it!
05/06: 167 okay back down but ready to see this number go. I got a ton accomplished in my house yesterday but definitely more work to be done. No time today as work is busy, have to bring ice cream sundae stuff to school for teacher appreciation and daughters TBall practice. Salsa chicken going in the Crock-Pot this AM for an easy and quick meal tonight.
05/07: 167 Again!! My eating times were all screwy yesterday which lead to some pre dinner snacking. So not terrible to see the same number.

05/03- 328.4 - I started a new medication yesterday, ate fast food for lunch and then had pie for dessert, and walked a lot yesterday... so it’s not surprising to see a gain, but I was hoping I wouldn’t. Back on the wagon though!
05/04- 328.4- I’m really not understanding this plateau at all, but I’m trying to just push through it. I was expecting to not start having these issues until I had lost significantly more weight.
05/05- 328.2- maybe things are starting to move again? I hope so.
05/06- 328.2- still frustrating.

I love below reminders from one of @TerriRichardson112 spoiler. I know you may know this already but it does not hurt to remind yourself of them when your frustrated by what the scale. Just keep doing what you are doing and the scale will catch up. Below are keepers! Keep up the good work!! :flowerforyou:- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

ROUND 76 (Round 18 for me)
5’4 ½” 67 y/o Texas Lady
SW 178 lb.
Goal: Maintain between 135 and 140 lb. and increase muscle mass
I started Round 54 and Keto WOE on September 24, 2018.
Cumulative weight loss for Rounds 54-70 = 43.6 lb.
NSV: 1) I’ve stayed between 133 and 137 lb. by (pretty closely) following a keto WOE.
2) Lab work a couple of weeks ago was normal with only one exception, slightly high LDL (bad cholesterol). HDL and triglyceride levels were very good! (In 2012, before I gained weight and started keto, I was slim, running, lifting, and the doctor attributed my LDL level to genetics.)
I can’t believe I missed 5 rounds, but I’ve continued to weigh daily, when I’m home. I’m glad I came back at the beginning of a round—great timing! Tax season was followed by a 7-day cruise to celebrate my husband’s birthday and the end of tax season. I ate and drank extra non-keto stuff and gained 3 lb. by the time I returned home, but it’s gone now.

05/03 133.6 I feel good, and, so far, I’ve found it easy to maintain my weight, thanks to limiting deviations from the keto WOE. I’m confident enough to not bother counting calories and carbs (I learned what and how much to eat from my record keeping in the beginning.). Keto has truly become a way of life for me. I’m not confident enough to stop weighing each morning. If weight is up, I cut back, and, if weight is down, I eat a little more. It’s a rainy day, so no walk for Thor and me today.

05/07 134.8 I had some catching up to do here, but I still weighed every day. I took a friend to see the movie Breakthrough yesterday, and I ate a lot of popcorn. The movie was great. Chrissy Metz is a great actress, but I feel bad for her. I suppose her size helped her get the part. I ate a couple of keto taco cups when I got home, and I was still stuffed at dinner time. I managed to eat half of my stuffed salmon, but I put the rest in my spinach and cheese omelet this morning. That was good.
05/08 134.2 My Red Hat group had Italian food for lunch today. The restaurant didn’t have fresh salad greens, so I had soup and cannelloni (tasty, but not on my keto list). I’m not stressing out since I’m below the 140 lb. limit I’ve given myself. It’s nice to have a little leeway.
05/09 133.8 A little low, but better than too high. I was supposed to play cards with friends today, but vertigo comes and goes, and this morning it was bad, so I stayed home. I’m better now and finished a good Bible study. I don’t allow myself to post here until I complete my Bible study—gotta have priorities and keep God at the top of the list! Now, I need to see about doing some housework, which I forget to put on the list. I'll play some Bob Marley for inspiration.

Hi everyone! I love this challenge most of the time, but the ones that we have to end on a Sunday or Monday kill me, lol. Oh well, would love to see 146 something this round and to stay out of the 150's again. Ended high last round because of my anniversary dinner, but also saw new lows through out the challenge, so hopefully we can continue the downward trend.

EW Rnd 74: 151.9 up a couple pounds because of vacation and Easter (no 10 day avg/didn't weigh 5 days)

05/03 - 147.3 back down to Wednesdays weight before my bloody Mary sodium gain, lol. I am ending this week with a 3/10 of a pound loss. Not exactly what I was wanting, but it is a loss so I will take it. My 5 day average was down almost a whole pound, 8/10 of a pound to be exact, but still good. The weekend is here and all I want to do is stay under 150! Happy Friday everyone!
05/04 - 148.2 had a couple beers with dinner last night and ate super late, but ate super low calorie. Should be back down tomorrow. Water water and more water and no alcohol!
05/05 - 148.8 what can I say it’s the weekend. Had pizza for lunch(only 1 piece) and tacos and rice for dinner. Not even close to enough water and not one vegetable or fruit all day. Running errands and will be restocking the house for the week today.
05/06 - 151.0 Weekends are always a killer for me. 3.7 pounds up from Friday. I did have steak last night, which I try and stay away from because it seems like it stays in my system for a while and takes longer to digest. I should be down by Tuesday or Wednesday.
05/07 - 149.1 And there goes most of that steak weight. It does it to me every time, but I love it! Oh well, headed back in the right direction. Half way through this round and still looking for a new low. My 2nd oldest graduates next week and my plan was to be below 145, I don't see that happening, so hopefully I can get within a pound or so of that.
05/08 - 147.9 And there goes the rest of my steak dinner. Good day with water and food yesterday and on track for today. My 10 day average is up right now and so is my trend weight. Need the next couple of days to be really good to get that back down. That 151 through everything off so working hard to see a 146.xxx and to get my trend weight down a couple of ounces. 4 days left to do that!
05/09 - 146.7 I have finally reached a new low, lol and just with that 1 number my trend weight is going back in the right direction. I have done really well all week and was hoping for a decent size drop this time around. Had a really busy morning so didn't eat lunch till about 3 this afternoon and I am only at about 350 calories for today. I am going to try and get 1 of my snacks in now and eat a decent dinner tonight and hopefully balance out. If I can hold this number or see another small drop by Sunday I would be thrilled!

05/03 377.8 - I am going to try to set more realistic goals this 10 days and if I do better so be it. Going for 4 pounds. I am also going to be more committed to checking in and going to make it easier for me to do it. If I consistently lose 4 pounds every 10 days until the end of the year I will get under 300 pounds. That is a reasonable goals.

- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

05/03 270.2 Feeling pretty good about today. Made it through the first three days of low carb diet and went for a jog last night. Seeing a weight drop is really uplifting.
05/04 268.6 Worked last night. Nothing like a 13 hour shift to help get the blood moving!
05/05 268.2 Worked last night. So many steps! Today is run day, but I picked up a shift, so I'll be trying for my 5K at midnight. Eating is on point, and I feel really good about pretty much everything.
05/06 265.8 Holy crap! I expected to be up, since I spent all night cooking, meal prepping for the week. I logged every bite I took, and I guess it wasn't as much as I'd assumed. Ran 5K and now for a 13 hour shift.
05/07 266.0 Work was rough, and I ran that out for 1.5 miles. Saw a podiatrist. Turns outs one leg is shorter than the other! Weight is up a bit, and I'm weirdly glad. Dropping lbs so fast was making me nervous. I've got 'slow and steady' as my mantra, and I don't want to fall into the trap of craving a big loss every day.
05/08 265.4 A couple days off, and I'm still eating well. Doing my wakeup and bedtime routines. The fridge is packed with easy grab meals for the next week. Making the act of healthy choices the easiest one.
05/09 266.0 Skipped running today, boo. Will go first thing in the morning after work. Weight held steady through two days off! I feel like I've made good eating choices. Still going strong on my (temporary) keto plan, and I set movement alarms yesterday to reach 3744 steps. Two weekends to get through in this round, here we go! (Don't mess it up, don't mess it up...)
05/04 147 No complaints! Expecting it to bounce up again tomorrow. Everything is sitting like a lump in my stomach.

05/03 – 198.8 – TGIF! Misty morning walk (60 min). Grocery shopping after class. Made Rueben sandwiches (all that salt!) and a cucumber salad for dinner, then settled down for a lazy Friday evening in. Looks like rain might put a damper on outdoor plans tomorrow Trying to stay optimistic
05/04 – 199.4 – A little bump, but I’ll work on it this week. This morning’s rain gave way to a beautiful sunny afternoon in the city. 21,716 steps, including over 2 ½ hours of walking through the park at a brisk pace. At least 96 oz of water, but I’ll need a bit more before I turn in tonight.
05/05 – 199.4 – Heavy rain all day. Lazy morning and no walk, but I eventually got a couple of hours of cleaning done before my dinner guests arrived. Carnitas tacos, sangria, and flan put me over my calorie limit, but I was under yesterday, so we’ll see how that works out. Fun weekend. I ate all kinds of food, but less of it than I might have in the past. Working on developing sustainable habits 😊
05/06 – 200.0 – Not unexpected, but somehow still disappointing. I guess it’s a reminder to get back on track. Got a few chores in before work. 60 minute walk along the shore (boardwalk) with the wind providing some resistance. 10+ waters.
05/07 – 199.4 – That’s better. Looks like another lovely day, so I’ll try to squeeze in a walk before class and do some weeding this afternoon. (Update: 70 min walk and 30 min of weeding! Plenty of water.)
05/08 – 199 – Woke up sluggish and achy – yesterday’s aggressive weeding session aggravated my sciatica, derailing my plan to walk before class. A trip to the mall with my daughter boosted my spirits, and the two new belts I bought for my now loose jeans boosted my confidence. Took the dog for a 45 min walk before dinner. Good hydration.
05/09 – 198.4 – A badly needed rest day. Last full week of classes and, as usual, I'm playing catch-up on grading and thus not getting enough sleep. Looking forward to sleeping in this weekend!

Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and have gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then; I don't want to gain any more, but would like to get back to my goal weight – I'm working at it!
The last day I shall not be weighing in as we shall be flying out for the first day of our holiday in Italy. Need to do really well over the next 9 days .

06/05 -132 What the heck is wrong with me? I joined this challenge to try and get some consistency in my life but, although I weight myself every morning I haven't got round to posting the results. I am close to my target weight having lost most of the lbs I put on over the winter but my real goal is to stop the cycle of weight gain and weight loss that I seem to be trapped in.

08/05 -131 I think I have cut my calories too far, too fast. My weight has dropped but I have been hungry. Last night I eat rounds of toast and then chocolate left after Easter. I think this is a further example of my bad habit of either eating too much or crash dieting. My aim for the rest of the challenge is to eat at maintenance to regain control.

05/04 13,11 - Seriously irritated by this but too busy to get drawn into a funk. This is my heaviest workout day with a 2hr martial arts session including fight fitness which was a killer today. No car available so I had to bike there and back in the wind. On the up-side I have lots of calories to play with.

Not worried as overall calories were all ok. Did 11k steps yesterday and so far today done a 2500 step walk and week 1 day 1 of C25k (going to try it and see if I can get to like running although I am doubtful and may end back on my bike - just wanted to try something else). Food all planned for the day too. Here's to a great Friday

07/05 - 144.6lb (+ 3.4lb) I know this isn't real weight gain just a post bank holiday gain which consisted of a family roast dinner Sunday, friends round for dinner last night and I did have 3 G&T's over the weekend. Did also spend a large part of the weekend loading up a skip with builders rubble so got a good workout and definitely didn't drink enough water. Back to normal today - food planned and prepped and gym session tonight so its all good

09/05 - 142.2lb (+0.2lb) as expected given my dinner last night. Been a "meh" round so far - nothing really moved - always amazes me how long it takes for your body to "get over" a weekend (even though it wasn't particularly indulgent and I did loads of activity). 3 days left of the round though to make a difference and aim to finish lower than I started - had hoped for under 140 but looks like I may have to save that for R77.... Food prepped for the day and gym PT session tonight ...

05/07- 160 surprised I’m this high... did not track in nyc but walked 8-9 miles a day! Could be from restaurants and lack of sleep. Thought I had said goodbye to this number. Back at it.
