Lisa: I hope you are able to get a new water heater installed ASAP.
(((Vicki))): Good wishes for your husband’s sister, and for the whole family. Sending prayers your way. :flowerforyou:
Heather: It is wonderful for your son’s family that you’re there to help when needed. You are a blessing that makes their lives easier. :flowerforyou:
Janetr: You seem right on track to me. Congrats on taking great care of yourself.
DH is having a quiet day at home so far. I’ve run some errands and need to run a few more. We need to double check that we have all the perishable food off the RV, and also to retrieve anything that needs to come home—such as clothes and hangers.

Who was that lady in the weight room, grunting and groaning like she meant business? (Oopsy that was little old me!)
I then walked on the treadmill and watched "Pioneer Woman" !

Navy son texted me and sent me this pic! Gosh I miss that kid of mine!

Katla, thank you so very much. I'm now a few pounds below the lowest weight I reached post surgery, even better than that is my muscle mass has increased significantly and I actually have a flat stomach. Never in my life !!
I have my personal hero, Mary MN/AZ to thank for introducing me to kettlebell workouts. Thank you my hero, Mary
Love you my friends

Rebecca-Looks like your sons having a fun zoo day! My Navy Daughter still home we’re enjoying her time off could be another year before another visit.
Microwaves on the fritz not even that old! Hubby going to see into it soon enough. We are out cause JR was hungry well decided to run for pancakes at a restaurant y German omelets. Was an exspensive microwave now it’s getting hot while off! Unplugged safety first.

For those contemplating a colonoscopy in your future, a small word of advice. Do not chew peppermint gum while in between chugging the liquid prep stuff... While your mouth will get rid of that slimy feeling the prep leaves behind for a few moments, the next chug of the liquid will taste like old, stale, bacon from a pig with an attitude problem.
Amber - the requestors come in waves... they come and they go, we block them, we stay. Not worth getting too het up about it. Some people shouldn't be allowed out.
Only a half dozen more cups of this mess, and then I'll be done.

Carol, you are absolutely right to check with your doctor about exercising at the gym. Almost every type of exercise I've known has always suggested checking with your physician first, and in your case, it's even more important because you are experiencing some discomfort that is upsetting. There's a difference between "no pain, no gain" and doing some damage to yourself.
We have expensive cable TV and Netflix and Amazon Prime and love them all. Jake's health requires him to spend a lot of time resting. Watching TV is something he likes (along with reading and various computer and phone tasks). We did an inventory of what we like to watch and it required having all these sources so we are keeping them. TV is a major source of recreation for us. We don't travel, go to movies or concerts, eat out, buy clothes, spend money on grandchildren, or many of the things that other people do. Just like choosing an eating or exercise plan, finding the right TV combination is a very personal decision and one size does not fit all.
Katla, I was awake for several hours three nights in a row comforting Bessie because of the fireworks. I cuddled her with pillows and played the Peter, Paul, and Mary playlist on my phone to help her stay calm.
Rebecca, great job at the gym. Watching something entertaining is a perfect way to make the treadmill more fun.

Lisa so sorry about the water heater, did you know it's age when you purchased house a year ago? Also, good luck with the rest of your prep, that's the worst part.
Super hot day here, I had to go into Manhattan today for an appointment, but still went to the gym in the afternoon, so I'm proud of that. Tomorrow is another long day of sitting (professional development class), but I am starting the day at the gym and packing a healthy lunch. Will get a chance to see some work friends so the day should fly by right quick.

58 here. You all sound like old friends. I think I will just hang out for a while and listen. That is if you don't mind.

Had my last birthday lunch today with my Friday Golf Girls. We had a fun lunch and lots of laughs.
Kelly-Happy Anniversary. You are making such great preparations for your babies visit. Enjoy every minute.
Lanete- yes I really am 80. Hard for me to imagine but it is true. I have been telling you all I am the oldest one here.
Tracy- love the wedding day photo. Hope everything went as you hoped. Looking forward to seeing more pictures.
Lisa- sorry your water heater is buster. It seems like there is always something breaking. We always say they come in threes. Hope that is not the case for you.
JanetR- my puppy is named Riley. He loved all the company and the extra attention.
Karen- loved the garden pictures. Made me want to get back to deweeding my garden.
Rebecca- I thought the pictures of you and your granddaughter were priceless. She will treasure them when she gets older.
You never know what kids remember. All of my family did a favorite memory with a picture of me with them. My daughter had it put together online. I will treasure it forever.

Suebdew: What beautiful family photos. 80 Years Loved...made me smile, and it's not even my celebration.
Kelly: Happy 30th Anniversary! Hope DH starts feeling better. Sounds like you are all set for Joaquin and family. Excited for you.
Vicki: Prayers going up for DH's sister. Safe travels.
Lisa: Ack! Major plumbing issue while doing colonoscopy prep, and fighting the bad pig taste in mouth---how totally awful! Hugs to you, dear friend. Hope all goes well with the procedure.
Barbie: Ditto re the TV options. Local live sports coverage gives DH and me something we can enjoy together, and there is no better option for coverage besides old fashioned cable.
I made yougurt in the Instant Pot today, and also prepped the SkinnyTaste Cucumber and Chickpea salad for dinner tonight. It's tasty and refreshing. I'll put it in a bowl of chopped lettuce and top with some tuna, and call it dinner.
Stay well friends. We can do this.

Amber - no worries, as Lisa said. Don't feel bad if you flag or "woo" them. These goofy dudes don't belong here... they'd figure it out if they had any sense, lol.
Lanette1 -
Okey - dokey... if you had told me that I could get four liters of ANYthing down me in three hours, I'd have told you that you were a liar this morning. Made the mistake of checking to see how much that weighs... 8.8 lbs.! I was really assuming it would take me all night. But I set a timer for ten minutes apart and drank 8 ounces every ten minutes. Worst part's over... a couple pills to take at 7 p.m., and between now and midnight clear liquids, which sounds like iced tea to me!
Honestly, of all the weird things I've done, this wasn't even fifth worst. Just annoying to have the water heater bust on the same day. I really liked the guy that came out, though, and he's already got the new one on his truck, will be back with it tomorrow. Plus, he knows Corey's boss, so he's practically family. I do love Arkansans, as a group and individually. Good people out here in the country.
Now for a tepid water shower, also annoying, but not the galloping never-get-overs. I grew up in Deep East Texas pulling water out of a well, and heating water on the stove for baths. The key was to be the first one to take a bath, and never take the one after any of my brothers. One of the many reasons I now prefer showers.
OK, off to my tepid shower. Cleaned out the inside, now to clean off the outside!
Do love y'all, sorry to be cranky today. But I get to eat tomorrow... looking forward to THAT.

Janetr- I’m so happy for you! It’s amazing how the kettle bell works your whole body. And it is very possible to have a flat tummy with its use!! You do look fabulous!! The only side effect that I have found is overly affectionate husband!!

Lisa- Just in case you have a wait for a new/repaired hot water heater; you did save the old metal tub to bathe in correct?

Welcome everyone new!
Carol – how long was your son at Daytona?
Vicki – so sorry about dh’s sister. Even tho you know it’s coming, it’s always hard. (((HUGS)))
Lisa – I’m sorry that happened to you. Hope you can get it taken care of real soon. Look at it this way…at least this didn’t happen in winter. In summer it’s not such a problem taking a cooler shower. I’m just trying to look on the bright side. You crack me up!
Shelley – hang out, no problem. But post if there’s something that peaks your interest.

Hi Shelley Welcome. Hanging out is how we all got started and before long, just couldn't resist making a comment or asking a question. Tell us more about yourself.

Ah yes, my texting with him was a couple of sentences, but he said he loved us, and he joked around. So I think he's a happy sort! Miss his quirkiness, his witty banter and sharing a cuppa with him.💖
He has grown up!

feeling super anxious today.
I ate little yesterday. I had late light breakfast and light lunch and then was in meetings til very late and just had some coconut juice when I got home. so: very much under calories and 1st time under 50 carbs.
I work in this school where the board voted in 2012 that all teachers are welcome to meetings. but the direction doesn't want teachers in my field to attend the meetings, so they say we can't go. only they published the annual report on facebook last year with the 2012 board vote saying that all teachers were supposed to go to this semestral meeting.
some people on some boards checked with the direction and they said no, but the people on the boards said that the old vote is supposed to take precedent. there were important things being dealt with, as schools are in major transition at present.
a colleague went and the director came over to her in this large meeting room and told her she had to leave. she said she stayed for a while and said she is one of the longest term teachers there and what happens at the school is important and that it was voted on the board. he said that was the old board and didn't count. (it is true that the board has changed but not that the previous vote, published last year on facebook is no longer valid). The director persisted. Apparently for my colleague some fellow-teachers who heard this said, "hello democracy". She left.
I crossed her path as she was going out- I arrived late- and I went and sat down in the back. the meeting was in place and the director made a sign so that his vice-director (or what every you call it) come over to me and asked me to leave. I gave here a paper showing the vote on the board. she said came over and whispered that it was only people in one field present. I said that was not true and I could see people from many different fields. she then said that our field was particularly excluded ad asked me to leave. I asked her (whispering very calmly) to write to me so that it be clear. she said, while waiting she asked me to leave. I said, (whispering very calmly) while waiting we should respect the vote of the board. she said, I hope you don't need any hours for meetings or something (a threat of making my situation difficult). but then she left after less than a minute. she tried raising her voice slightly, maybe to intimidate me, but I was very calm and she would have had to make a big scene. I'm sure some people saw it and the people very close to me heard it.
The direction has acted very illegally in my regard between 2015-2017 in a long drawn out way, and I had to go to court to defend myself and won very easily and quickly.
I am about to begin request for indemnity that I will certainly get.
Now they will try to sneakily get a vote to pass to exclude us.
then I had another meeting in another school and though, I worked for years to get us a huge raise, some colleagues and others (who benefit from this) are extremely unpleasant and always have been.
