It is hard for me to find humor in your hat because I have a son who is an alcoholic. When the alcohol combines with his mental illness it is a disaster.

I do have an occasional drink. DH has a drink with his meal. Because of my son I do lose my sense of humor when people make fun of drinking too much. Alcohol has caused too much pain in my family.

Karen - Your fun day with your granddaughter sounds wonderful! :D That's why I love our one to one days with the a grandchild so much. The whole day is transformed by their fresh vision and appetite for life. Every step is an adventure.
Plus you get the love and the hugs. :D Having all three at once is lovely, but knackering. :o
I was explaining diabetes to Edie the other day. That was fun. <3 The ex nanny's brother, aged 14, has just been diagnosed. We share a great interest in medical matters.

Margaret <3 I drink, probably a bit too much, :embarassed: but I know alcohol is not a laughing matter for so many. My son nearly lost his job, his family and everything. Luckily he was able to stop. One day at a time.
I'm going to have an alcohol free day today as you have reminded me.

    Love Heather UK xxxxxxx

Barbara - So sorry about Scooter. <3<3<3

Karen: A blissful day that your granddaughter will treasure.
Ginger: Bagging me one of those guilt-free days today. They say 'Old habits die hard' but I believe new habits can be stronger. I am also still doing my morning workout and my normal clean as I go routine. Hope your tummy settles.
Connie: Bra expedition: 😂 😂 😂 And congrats on the lower sizes.
Barbara: So sorry about Scooter. Our fur babies are precious to us. (((Hugs)))

    I'm a happy bunny!

Spent Friday afternoon boating, and yesterday afternoon at Belfast Pride with my youngest girl.
Today I will spend the afternoon visiting my eldest girl and her boys.

(((Hugs))) to those who needed them. Have a Blessed Sunday. 🕊💐

After Scooter fell trying to get over the threshold, and got stuck trying to go through the coffee wagon instead of going around the chairs, Joe and I have made the sad decision to call the vet and schedule his transition next week. He's not in great pain, but lost, confused and forgetting where to go. Joe's been carrying him down the steps 7-10 times a day. I've been praying he'd be taken in his sleep, but that apparently is not to be. He would have been 15 in October.

Barbara- I'm so sorry... and no need to apologize. We bring our whole selves to this place, it's important to have someplace we can do that.

As to wearing white - :D I never wear all white IRL. It was purely as a costume for Pride. I was also wearing diamanté drop earrings and a sparkly crystal necklace, not my usual attire on a Saturday morning. I spend my life in exercise clothes!
I took it off the moment I got home. :p
However it did survive sitting on the shingle beach on a towel :o AND a chocolate ice cream cone, which I wrapped in lots of paper napkins. I was amazed I got through that!
I do have a couple of white, long sleeved t shirts that I wear once a year. I do think it looks 'special'. When I was fat I wouldn't wear white. Now the main problem is what to wear underneath. I don't normally wear a bra, but I did yesterday for decency's sake. I also bought white knickers specially when I bought the white pants.
    Definitely a special occasion colour!

Just heard a friend I was at uni with, and whom I helped through her breast cancer when she got it after me, has just had to have a colostomy for bowel cancer. Plus more discovered. Make the most of every single day folks. <3

Connie ~ Excellent bra shopping experience. Congrats on your smaller size!

Barbara ~ So sad for you regarding Scooter. Losing a beloved pet is so hard.

Keytone Karen ~ So glad you had a wonderful day with your granddaughter.

Lanette & Katla ~ I had to go read up about llamas. Did not realize they were domesticated. Such interesting creatures.

NY Karen ~ Your daughter is beautiful and looks so confident!

Katla - your description of Arrow getting spooked by sheep sent me down memory lane. When we had the farm, we had sheep and a couple guardian llamas. Llamas are very curious by nature and also kind of whinney like a horse.

    Lanette

Tasmania has roughly 2.2 million sheep, and alpacas (slightly different from llamas) and sheep are often together here.

When we cycle in the countryside, the sheep will run away but the alpacas are usually curious. :)

No energy today. Was going to do all sorts of exercise this weekend, but nope. I guess sometimes I need to rest.

I did, however, get several other non-energetic things done.

Back to work on Monday (tomorrow).

Machka - do you know if Tasmanian sheep have any natural predators? Domestic dogs were the worst for us in losing lambs and adult sheep & goats :'( , followed by coyotes and big cats. The llamas helped some, the best protector was a livestock guardian dog. I don't think Alpacas would be big enough to do any damage. Our llamas were fairly large and could kick. And leave a nasty bite even though they didn't have canine teeth - cud chewing produces strong jaws!

Despite it all, I miss that farm life. If something happens to DH I'll go onto that Farm matchmaking site and connect with an old geezer who drives a pickup and has a tractor, lol.

Barbara - so sorry about Scooter - 15 years is quite an achievement! Sometimes when they know we are ready to release them, they make the transition on their own. Big hugs to you and Joe!

JR y his Daddy pics seeing the resemblance every milestone. No family in ElPaso was hurt hoping that remains the same. Racially motivated shootings are getting ridiculous starting to worry about us going to stores, but can’t stop living. Had to make Daughter go to school even with school shootings...if her school would have gotten a threat she would have stayed home Even tho that’s a court appearance for parents here in this city! My Mother-in-law speaks Spanish do to age she’s forgetting her 2nd language English (strokes to normal aging how many of us remember our high school Spanish to French classes? ) with folks being rough about that now it’s worrisome. Hubby doing her shopping y ours. Of course that’s more stress on him not good for BP y stress levels. This is just apart of life anymore.

Woke up with racing heart. Having 2periods a month (10-12days heavy y spotting lots of heavy) darn peri menopause! Over cleaned last night my body is screaming in pain. I got it in my head to move couches to clean them fully (under, cushions, behind). Was a dumb idea 💡 I’m not 20 anymore! Got the toys 🧸 out from in y under but my breast bones popping y feel sick. Headache y back pain too. Mopped y vacuumed. Picked up toys. Rearranged the whole room. Why did I do this uggghhh no clue! Yesterday used up my calories with chicken sandwich y potatoes 🥔 a few fudge pops after cleaning so a nice pick me up but had to take 2 pain pills y a roll stick of biofreeze.
Over Cleaned paying for it! Ate a banana 🍌 for breakfast I don’t normally eat breakfast even growing up so not my norm but felt I needed potassium. Rest y eat today with no exercise.

(((Barbara))): I am so sorry about Scooter’s declining health. Fourteen years is a long lifetime for most breeds of dog. Seeing our furbabies suffer is heart wrenching.

Terri: I envy your day on the water. I hope you enjoyed every moment!!! :star:

Machka: I am unsurprised that the alpacas are curious. I am no expert, but I suspect they are much smarter than we realize. :flowerforyou:

Lanette: I watch RFD TV regularly and have seen the FarmersOnly.com commercials many times. :star:

Our pup is twelve and doing okay for now, but he has pain meds and CBD oil due to a bad hip. The meds and CBD oil are doing a good job controlling pain for now. I hope we can have more time with him. DH is also having trouble with pain and is taking pain meds for humans as well as CBD oil. He has an MRI coming up later this week. I hope they can use the information to help DH feel better. Our travel plans to see the kids and grand kids are on hold for now.
