11: 230.7 Day trip across the state today, but I feel pretty confident about managing my food intake and the timing.
12: 231.6 Kept to calories and IF schedule, but had fast food for supper. I couldn't find a decent restaurant easily from the interstate. Then we were just in small towns and reaching the end of my eating window. It's all good though.
13: 231.4
14: 232 Yesterday was a really good day health wise. Anyone else have stalls or gains during ovulation?
15: 232.1 Same deal as yesterday. I have a feeling there will be a nice whoosh before this round is over!

@abowersgirl There are few things more frustrating than what you're going thru. Big Hugs to you.
Why would this get a WOO? I meant it kindly.
When I was new to the message boards, I thought "woo" meant "woohoo" as in Great Job! I found out, after I had mistakenly wooed some posts, that it meant B.S. I suspect someone else on here has made the same mistake. Also, I think @abowersgirl mis-interpreted your post, as had I at first glance. I had initially read it as saying "There are A few things more frustrating than what you're going thru." which could sound a little snarky. I re-read it right away and realized what you meant was that there aren't many things more frustrating than a plateau.8 -

08/14 …..197.8 ….. I was out of town with my brother for his appointment (he will need to see a specialist). He chose a bar / restaurant for dinner and the reuben sandwich was the best I’ve ever had. I also split some sweet potato fries. Meal, overall, was too carby and loaded with starch & sodium, so I’ll be flushing today with extra water. Today I will be extra mindful of my diet. Yesterday’s stats: Calorie overload in / 2,772 Calories Out. Carb overload. 15,481 Total Steps & 6.55 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 5 hours & 35 minutes. I very briskly walked for 57 minutes upon returning home. I rigorously cleaned cabins late last night for 104 minutes . Total extra calorie burn 897. I stopped at rest stops during the day trip to fit in walking each hour. I left the restaurant twice during dinner to walk the parking lot. I’m sure fellow diners thought I went out to smoke lol! Hopefully I will see the scale go down tomorrow. I HATE typing my weight in a green gain instead of a red loss, but when I know I’ve caused it, I need to see it and be honest to myself about it. Tomorrow it will be typed in a red loss!
08/15 …..195.4 ….. A nice whoosh & almost to goal for this round. I realized that I was focusing on the BIG PICTURE instead of just 10 days. So I am trying hard just to make sure I make the 2 lb loss. I spent some of the past couple of days really reading over some of the spoilers again in some of the posts. Posts like @MadisonMolly20 , @shunggie , @quiltingjaine , @kmfeig87 , @jaccimc63 and dozens more. Seeing the one or two pounds, and even the partial pounds come off during their journeys has re-inspired me. The progress is phenomenal. Was I waiting for 50 pounds to just fall off all at once, not really, but maybe……. Anyway, my eye is on the prize. 2 lbs per round. I think I can achieve that if I just focus on that alone & watch myself during travel. Yesterday’s stats: 1011 Calories In / 2861 Calories Out. 15 Net Carbs. 18,054 Total Steps & 7.64 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 4 hours & 46 minutes. I took a neighborhood walk for 58 minutes & I rigorously cleaned tourist cabins for 53 minutes. Total extra calorie burn 611.

08/11 - 131.8 (+0.5lbs) - DOMS from leg day 😓... loads of water retention. I’m sure it will come down in a few days.
🥘 Food was pretty good for most of the day but I did end up eating some sugar last night at a birthday party. I passed on all the alcohol and cake. So even though it’s not as clean as I’m used to, I did really well. That being said.. macros were a bit more off than normal, over on carbs. 😣
🏋🏻♀️ 1hr 5min strength.
🏃🏻♀️ 30min cardio.
🧘🏻♀️ Day off yoga.
👣 11,488 steps.
💧 159oz water.
08/12 - 131.2lbs (-0.6lbs) - DOMS. I’ve been going pretty hard on the weight lifting. Nearly every muscle group is sore now 😆 🤦🏻♀️
🏋🏻♀️ 55min strength.
🏃🏻♀️ 50min cardio.
🧘🏻♀️ Day off yoga.
👣 13,866 steps.
💧 131oz water.
08/13 - 131.8 (+0.6lbs) - DOMS still just a diff muscle group 😆 Rest day is tomorrow though so should even out a bit. Need to get some yoga in for muscle repair!
🥘 Food was ok, more added sugar than I’d like. I bought protein shakes w/sugar by mistake and will never do that again 🤦🏻♀️ that being the case carbs were higher than I would have liked. Still in a deficit though.
🏋🏻♀️ 1hr 20min strength.
🏃🏻♀️ 40min cardio.
🧘🏻♀️ Day off yoga.
👣 11,517 steps.
💧 131oz water.
08/14 - 131 (-0.8lbs) -
🥘 Food was pretty good. Still getting rid of those protein shakes with cane sugar 😒 it’s really messing up my macros but I can manage. I was pretty close on macros, still hard to pack in all the protein but I’ll figure it out eventually.
🏋🏻♀️ Day off strength.
🏃🏻♀️ 1hr cardio.
🧘🏻♀️ 30min yoga.
👣 12,995 steps.
💧 131oz water.
08/15 - 130.4 (-0.6lbs) -
🥘 Food was good until dinner and then it was horrible. Burger King vegan whopper with the bun 🤦🏻♀️ but today is a new day! I was under cals for the day but I don’t want to even think about the macros. 😖
🏋🏻♀️ Day off strength.
🏃🏻♀️ 1hr 45min cardio.
🧘🏻♀️ Day off yoga.

Hi everyone. Glad to see everyone back again for another round and that we have so many new people joining. Last round I finally got into a new decade (139.6) but messed up right away and killed that weight, lol. Stress got me for a couple of days so I am back at it again and will try to get back down.
Round 83: 146.3 - 145.9 Avg 146.72
Round 84: 145.9 - 143.7 Avg 144.28
Round 85: 143.7 - 139.6 Avg 142.35
08/11 - 141.5 up a bit today, not unexpected. Got into a bit of an argument with my husband last night and ate my emotions today. Men just drive me crazy with how simple they think sometimes, at least that is the way husband is. I crave carbs and comfort food when I am upset, so I consoled myself with them. We have been married so many years we hardly ever argue and when we do we make up fairly quickly, but he just makes me so angry sometimes. Uugghhh
08/12 - 145.0 so here is the rest of my emotional eating on Saturday and I was horrible yesterday. Of course we have already made up, but then he took me to lunch to apologize and I had 2 bloody Mary's so the sodium and carbs are through the roof right now. Water, water, and water today to get me back down. 5.4 pounds from Saturday morning to Monday morning is such a bummer. I have been doing this long enough to know not to freak out though and within a couple of days I will be back down. One weekend of emotional eating and drinking and this is what happens. I have to learn how to deal with things a little better I think, lol.
08/13 - 145.0 I am thinking this is all hormonal. I have been extremely sensitive and moody the last couple of days. I also wanted salt/sour things all weekend and couldn't satisfy my cravings. There is no reason for my weight to be this high and still be up other than stupid hormones. I know when just looking at my husband annoys me that there is something else going on. I am actually feeling a bit better today and can see how crazy I have been the last couple of days. I should have known when the scale jumped up almost 6 pounds over night and has stayed there something else is influencing it. Hopefully by Thursday or Friday I will be back to normal. Just have to stay the course at this point.
08/14 - 142.7 back down and feeling back to "normal". I am not mad at the world anymore, lol, and can actually think straight again. I love being a woman sometimes! Hopefully I will be back down to my 140/141 tomorrow and be able to hold steady there the rest of the round. I have 1 more round after this one to try and get into the next decade and stabilize before birthdays, vacation, and 3 day weekends take over for a month. The end of August and first half of September are going to be challenging, but I think I am up for it.
08/15 - 142.7 same as yesterday which is good, because I was not great last night. 3 beers, a half a piece of lasagna, and a garlic knot for dinner. Thankfully I started with a huge salad and I had only had 300 calories all day before that. It was so nice outside last night my husband and I sat out in the back yard and just enjoyed the evening. That's where my 3 beers came in, lol. Oh well, hopefully I can keep it together this weekend because I haven't accomplished much this week. I am still up about 3lbs from the ending of the last round, so if I can get rid of at least 1 more pound I will be happy. These last 5-7 pounds are really stubborn.

08/12: 216.7 Still not down to my EW in round 85, but at least the number is going down.
08/13: 215.4 I did a water fast yesterday. I've been having some cramping which is not normal after menopause, so I'm having to go in for a Hysterosonography tomorrow. I'm feeling pretty nervous about it. Have any of you had this procedure?
08/14: 214.5 Continued fasting for the most part of the day yesterday. For dinner I had a cup of bone beef broth and just under a 1/2 cup of fresh raw brocolli florets.
I went in for the Hysterosonography today. Was feeling pretty nervous about it so my dr called in one pill of lorazepam. I guess it helped because it wasn't as painful as I was fearing. They did say the lining of my uterus has thickened, found a polyp in my uterus and a possible benign cyst on my left ovary. I'm waiting on my dr to get in touch with me to see what's next.
I'm expecting a gain tomorrow ☹ I broke my fast when my husband & youngest son wanted to take me to lunch & a movie. We had yummy calzones for lunch and then I had popcorn & coke at the movie.... plus my son surprised me with a box of Junior Mints candy since he knows they're my favorite 😋 I'm hoping I didn't undo the progress I've made the last couple of days🤞🙏
08/15: 216.4 Not at all surprised by the gain after yesterday. Today's a new day that the Lord has made and I'm going to rejoice. I'm gonna get this weight off of me!

I re-read it right away and realized what you meant was that there aren't many things more frustrating than a plateau.
Yes they really should change that. I thought the same thing!! When I see someone has clicked on "Woo" I automatically assumed they do not know it is negative. People have asked them to remove it as it is negative and there is no need for it on any level. As my Mom always used to say IF you don't have anything good (or encouraging) to say then don't say anything. That rule has served me well. Of course we all say negative things but there is a time and place for it and on the message boards is not the forum for it. If I have something well meaning to say to someone of MFP I send them a message and believe me you it is well thought out so as not to offend in any way. We all have had enough of that over the years and we do not come here for the negativity. Well meaning advice seasoned with salt and said in a kind way is all ways refreshing and received well by most. I know it is for me. It is all in the way it is presented. Some things I don't understand about MFP but not much I can do or complain about since it is FREE I make a suggestion and move on....... END of VENT

@abowersgirl IMHO, where else can you vent, if not here. Letting out those frustrations is healthy. It’s better than letting them fester. There will always be comments which rankle, for whatever reason. As for the lack of reward for all your effort, I’ve been there. I’ve been bouncing around 165 for over a year, and ever time I get almost into the 150s, holidays/birthdays/celebrations come along. Weight loss can be a most unpredictable process. And so many things can affect your progress. Hang in there, and it’s got to pay off in the long run.
Hope things improve for you soon. (((Hugs)))

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

8/11: 201.6 (+.8) not too bad. Expected far worse. Didn’t make it to the gym yesterday and went over my calories. Had family day and although I weighed all my food and portioned It properly. I gave in at night for ice cream with the family. Today I have a kids bday party. Going to try super hard to be better.
8/12: 200.6 (-1.0) I’m ok with this. I did good yesterday but I didn’t have enough water like I usually do and I also didn’t eat very good. I ate small but I ate crap. I was super exhausted so it threw me off nans I was at a birthday party for kids. So too much was accessible.
8/13: 200.8 (-.2) I’m not sure what happened. I was far under my calories. Had 2 workouts yesterday and drank over a gallon of water. Yesterday was the best I felt in a while. And yet the scale went the wrong way. What the heck!!
8/14: 199.6 (-1.2) yesterday was a pretty good day. Good gym session. Good food choices. Plenty of water. Soccer game at night. I felt really good when u went to sleep and i am content with today’s results. It’s a slow journey but at least I’m on it. Thanks for the support
8/15: 201.0 (+1.4) well I have no idea what’s going on anymore I lower my calorie intake. I’m working out. I’m staying active. I’m not eating late at night. And I’m not making any progress. My new challenge goal is to just get to my starting weight for the challenge.

@jaccimc63 Wishing you a quick and painfree passing of the stones!
@Hilogirl2018 Tell your friend that CICO works for the last 5-7 pounds...but with only a little to lose at pretty low BMI, he really wants to aim for only .5 lb/week. At .5 lb/week loss, he really has to look at his trend weight, as daily fluctuations can mask that slow of a loss PLUS weight loss isn't linear. If he sticks to it, it will happen!
@SheilaBoneham Beautiful garden!!
@MBabydoll Awesome losing!
@abowersgirl Stephanie, so sorry for all of the stress and health issues frustrating you along with the weight loss plateau. Sending you hugs and prayers and hoping that things start to get better soon. Unfortunately stress and the accompanying cortisol produced by your body can also mess with progress. Hugs. Also, I think that @shunggie was sympathizing with your frustration over the plateau, not blowing it off, and I'm sorry that you judged by what she meant to be a kind comment. Hugs.8 -

08/11 130 Only a small bounce up. Considering a few extra carbs yesterday, this isn't surprising. Hopefully todays carbs and slackardly behavior don't do me in for tomorrow.
08/12 130 Had an easy day yesterday. I only got in 7,000 steps. I did take a 30 minute hilly walk and do 10 minutes of hula hooping. Happy that the number didn't go up. It's been a really looonggggg week. A week ago Friday I had a breast biopsy and last Tuesday I got the results that it is invasive lobular carcinoma. So far, I don't have any details other than a diagnosis. I'll meet with the team of doctors this Wednesday and find out prognosis and treatment options. Wednesday seems REALLLLY far away still (although my son starts school Tuesday and that seems really soon!) The good news is that this cancer is really hard to detect and I'm pretty sure that they are thinking it is really small still. Waiting is just so hard! Luckily, too, my good habits have been pretty much sticking with me.
08/13 129 That was a nice thing to see this morning! Yesterday I did a strength class, zumba, and a short walk. Only had one cookie and half a scone along with the healthy stuff.
08/14 130 Meeting with the docs today.
08/15 130 I managed to deal ok with food and stress yesterday. We met with the doc team yesterday(surgeon, medical oncologist, radiology oncologist, 3 residents and a med student and a nurse practitioner all crammed into a regular patient room!) They confirmed that they think the cancer is small and stage 1 with no lymph involvement, but because cancer is present at one biopsy site, and pre-cancer at the other two, the solution is mastectomy (or double mastectomy). I still need to meet with genetics doctors and plastic surgeon(s) (I guess there WAS a limit to how many people fit in the room!) before the surgery is scheduled. I am trying to deal with the inability to plan anything until the dates are set and meanwhile trying to distract myself with long walks and lots of zumba. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers!

Please join us! Starting on 08/11 JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS, we will begin Round 86
Anyone can join us at anytime during the round.
Join us! If we stay mindful we can do this, you can do this.
Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!
Here is what you do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. Post everyday to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share.
FOR NEWBIES - I find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in my device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all of the posts.

08/11 - 139 9/31 I am really getting so frustrated I can cry. This isn't fair anymore... If anyone pulled my activity, constant moving and eating habits they would be withering to nothing... I am really starting to hate this. I am working way to hard to see no results. This is not fair!!!! I have even dropped foods and replaced them with fruits and veggies last week... I haven't eaten this healthy in almost two months but I seem to see steadily be climbing. I dont know what to do anymore 😭😭

08/13 394.4 – Well I am back. Had a busy weekend. I am still trying to get back on track. I had a great WW meeting. I attended the meeting. The goal is to attend the meeting again Saturday and to lose weight. I had a 1.2 pound gain this week. For a total of 3.6 gain. ☹ But I am going to turn this around. Not worried, just going to keep at it is all. I got my 7000 steps in yesterday. My eating could have been better. I had a salad last night instead of fast food.
08/14 395.8 Salty foods but an overall ok day.
08/15 394.4 back down or a maintain. I will take it…. Struggling. Trying to eat better today. I got my 7000 steps yesterday and will get them today. Keep rocking it you all--I see a lot of losses! :flowerforyou: If you have not lost today that is ok too because you are here and checking in and that is what counts and will help you on your journey. It will help us all get there. Keep up the good work Everyone!! :flowerforyou:

My journey … ("I May Not Be Where I Want To Be, but I’m Not Where I Use To Be!")In 2003 Weighed over 600 lbsMy highest weight was 611 in 2003. Weight in 2004 before weight loss surgery was 580. Lowest weight after surgery was 302 in 2007. "I May Not Be Where I Want To Be, but I’m Not Where I Use To Be!"
In 2005 Weighed under 400 lbs
In 2007 lowest weight after surgery 302lbs
I joined MFP on March 27, 2010 weighing in at 388 pounds. I was re-gaining weight and stumbled up on it while trying to get back on track. I was determined never to see 400+ on that scale again for me.
I have been morbidly obese all my life. I have a lifetime of mental and physical scars from obesity. In October 2004 I had Gastric Bypass surgery. WLS (Weight Loss Surgery) was the best gift that I could and did give to myself.
Between 2008 and 2010 I gradually gained back 80 of almost 300 pounds lost initially after weight loss surgery. I never reached my goal weight of 200 pounds. I still managed to keep off over 65 percent of the weight I lost which is very good and I am very proud of my accomplishments since 2004. It has literally changed my life for the better on all levels. I am here to lose re-gained weight and to reach my initial goal weight. I am in no hurry. I am taking this one day at a time and I am in it for the long haul.
Surgery did not fix the head. It is a good tool and the best gift I have given to myself, but it was not the easy way out as many people think. Once the honeymoon period is over after the WLS it is up to the patient to keep the weight off.
On August 29, 2011-- I was admitted to Intensive Out Patient Eating Disorder Program to learn how to manage my binge eating disorder effectively. The program is wonderful indeed and will be instrumental in me reaching all of my goals. The focus of this program was how to eat and not diet. Weight loss was not a goal of the program. I actually gained 20 pounds in program. But I had to get thru a lot of stuff and my the time I was released I had stopped gaining. I was discharged from program on December 3, 2011.
My tool is still working for me today. My head is still the issue. SO the struggle continues. I will never beat myself up again. I fight the fine fight faithfully and positively everyday. Because that is what will get me to my goals one day. Even though it may not show up on the scale every day -- Everyday I make progress one way or another just by showing up, waking up and trying.
Giving up is not an option for me. Perseverance, Patience, & Positive thinking will help me reach my goals…… and the same is true for you too!! We have the power within us.:flowerforyou: SW 373.4 - 1/3/19 GW 299 - 12/31/19 :flowerforyou:Round 64 - SW 373.4 EW 369 (-4.4)

My thoughts and prayers go out to those going thru trying situations in their lives currently. I don't have time to mention them all, but I have read them all, and my heart goes out to you each of you. I have friends who are going thru similar pains, situations and tribulations. Somehow this too shall pass. You will find a way to get thru it whatever your belief is. Keep your chins up, stay positive, keep shining, smile when you can, and cry when you need to. Most of all let your family and friends help you and be there for you. They may not always know what to say and they may not always say the right things but trust me they love you. Forgive them if they do or say the wrong things. Thinking of you all as you cope each day. Sending you all positive thoughts...

08/11 - 219.4 - Had a bad week, and just kind of let things go. This was pre-joining MFP.
08/12 - 219 - Went on an approx. 5 mile hike yesterday and did a bit of heavy lifting doing yard work.
08/13 - 216.8 - I was not expecting to see this much of a drop. My guess is it's just water weight plus whatever else now that I'm back to eating healthy again and exercising. I definitely expect to see smaller decreases from here on out.
08/14 - 216.2 - Whoops, I forgot to post yesterday.
08/15 - 215.4 - I'm only .4 lbs from being 30lbs lost! I've been working at it slowly since March 2018. Yesterday was a rest day, as Tuesday was strength and some cardio. My hamstring really needed the break, as it was feeling a bit too tight. Need to start incorporating more stretching into my daily routine.

08/11 - 236.3 - was not as strict as I wanted to be yesterday; I didn’t log so I’m not 100% sure the “damage” but this is all about balance and being consistent when you can’t be perfect.
08/12 - DNW - skipped the scale intentionally this morning, didn’t want to make my Monday even Monday-y-er because of the fluctuations. Today I was spot on with eating though for the first time in a while. Who knew making good choices throughout the day would make it easier to stay under my target calories Lolol!
08/13 - 238.7 - 🙄; still plan on making today a good one.
08/14 - 238.7 - 🤷🏾♀️ have a work function tonight (and tomorrow actually). I will enjoy a glass of wine and try to keep the food choices light.
08/15 - DNW - choosing not to weigh for the next several days. Several work functions this week - I tried to make good choices (and made better than I would have otherwise) but not the best in water and wine 😂 I feel the water retention/bloat all the way down to my feet. Gym in the AM. Still checking in even though I am skipping the scale for my own sanity.

Goals for this round:
1) Thoughtful food choices and good hydration
2) An hour of walking or other activity each day
Day/Weight/Comment
08/11 – 185.2 – Not bad for a post-party weigh-in, but I expect to see another bounce this week. Although most of my house guests left today, my son and his fiancé are here for the week. We have lots of outings planned, since this is essentially another vacation. I’m hoping to make good choices, get some exercise, and end this round without a gain.
08/12 – 185.2 – Beach day! Did my best to stay hydrated, but didn’t make the best food choices today. All that sun and surf and the wine with dinner have made me too lazy to log before calling it a night. Oh, well. I think I just need a break.
08/13 – 186.4 – Big bounce, but not unexpected. Spent the day walking around the city and made better food choices today so we’ll see what tomorrow brings.
08/14 – 185.8 – Looking better. Weather cancelled today’s amusement park trip, but I think we were all ready for a quieter day. Although we had dinner out, food choices were more in line with my usual fare. Too much sodium again, but I stayed under my calorie limit. Didn’t get my walk in, but I managed to get some chores done while the others were out. So overall, not a bad day.
08/15 – 186.2 – Okay, this wasn’t unexpected, but I’m starting to question the wisdom of daily weigh-ins during a vacation week. On one hand, it’s useful to see the day-to-day fluctuations in a less controlled environment. The bounces really haven’t been that big and it’s reassuring to see that I’m still within a pound of this round’s starting weight. On the other, I feel like I’m starting to resent that nagging reminder of the next day’s weigh-in popping up when I just want to relax and enjoy myself. Do I really need ice cream? Should I have that second glass of wine? Why did I eat that salty pickle? Vacations and social events are part of life, so I know I need to work this out if I’m going to have long-term success.

Still bouncing around 196-197. I saw someone say they wanted to get below 190 by their birthday. I thought this was a great idea. I usually don't like to set weight by date goals for fear of getting discouraged. I prefer sticking to it goals but this seems pretty safe. My birthday is October 13th.
Continue the search today for a gym. Did another free workout and liked the gym ok, it was nothing special. I have high hopes for the gym I am trying next week. They have a weight training class I really want to try.
