Exercise:

08/11 …..197.0 ….. Yesterday’s stats: 1152 Calories In / 2428 Calories Out. 27 Net Carbs. 13,909 Total Steps & 5.89 Total Miles. 12/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 3 hours & 56 minutes. I walked for 52 minutes & did yard work for 67 minutes. A successful day. My NSV today is that, even with my ups & downs, I am still wearing my clothes, they are not wearing me. It wasn’t always that way! Good luck this round everyone!
08/12 …..199.8 ….. Horrible binge very late last night. I didn’t realize until this morning that I didn’t even have dinner. It was my heavy work day in this tourist business & I did not plan my meals well. I talked to a late arriving customer who set up a contract for some road workers to be in multiple cabins this week & I forgot about eating until the hunger & sugar drop hit me hard & fast. Calories In 2863 / Calories Out 3286. 260 Net Carbs. Ouch! 22,009 Total Steps & 9.31 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours & I slept 4 hours & 4 minutes and I’ve woke up this morning feeling like I’ve been hit by a Mack Truck. I rigorously cleaned cabins for 217 minutes & I walked for 40 minutes at moderate pace. I hope I can pull out of this carb-induced, overworked & exhausted state. However, No Matter What, my diet will be on point today!
08/13 …..196.6 ….. BAM! There it is. I’m so happy to see that number today! I hope not to ruin it, however, as I am making a trip out-of-town for my brother’s specialist appointment. There will be a restaurant involved. His choice to pick. However, I am going to try to limit my extravagances to JUST THE ONE MEAL and not let it blow the entire day. So I am thawing out my prepped dinner for later tonight. I’m also taking a protein snack in case I need it. Yesterday was a great day. Yesterday’s stats: 1150 Calories In / 2645 Calories Out. 23 Net Carbs. 14,757 Total Steps & 6.24 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 5 hours & 19 minutes forcing myself back to sleep after just 3 hours. The extra has made me feel great. I did about 15 minutes of yard work and I walked for 20 minutes around my property. I couldn’t leave for a neighborhood walk as I had to wait for a customer’s late arrival. Everyone is doing great & I’m so glad to see all the progress!
08/14 …..197.8 ….. I was out of town with my brother for his appointment (he will need to see a specialist). He chose a bar / restaurant for dinner and the rueben sandwich was the best I’ve ever had. I also split some sweet potato fries. Meal, overall, was too carby and loaded with starch & sodium, so I’ll be flushing today with extra water. Today I will be extra mindful of my diet. Yesterday’s stats: Calorie overload in / 2,772 Calories Out. Carb overload. 15,481 Total Steps & 6.55 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 5 hours & 35 minutes. I very briskly walked for 57 minutes upon returning home. I rigorously cleaned cabins late last night for 104 minutes . Total extra calorie burn 897. I stopped at rest stops during the day trip to fit in walking each hour. I left the restaurant twice during dinner to walk the parking lot. I’m sure fellow diners thought I went out to smoke lol! Hopefully I will see the scale go down tomorrow. I HATE typing my weight in a green gain instead of a red loss, but when I know I’ve caused it, I need to see it and be honest to myself about it. Tomorrow it will be typed in a red loss!

8/11: 201.6 (+.8) not too bad. Expected far worse. Didn’t make it to the gym yesterday and went over my calories. Had family day and although I weighed all my food and portioned It properly. I gave in at night for ice cream with the family. Today I have a kids bday party. Going to try super hard to be better.
8/12: 200.6 (-1.0) I’m ok with this. I did good yesterday but I didn’t have enough water like I usually do and I also didn’t eat very good. I ate small but I ate crap. I was super exhausted so it threw me off nans I was at a birthday party for kids. So too much was accessible.
8/13: 200.8 (-.2) I’m not sure what happened. I was far under my calories. Had 2 workouts yesterday and drank over a gallon of water. Yesterday was the best I felt in a while. And yet the scale went the wrong way. What the heck!!
8/14: 199.6 (-1.2) yesterday was a pretty good day. Good gym session. Good food choices. Plenty of water. Soccer game at night. I felt really good when u went to sleep and i am content with today’s results. It’s a slow journey but at least I’m on it. Thanks for the support

8/11 – 177.9 Having a family dinner tonight (steak) so the goal is to keep portion sizes small but still enjoy the meal.
I managed to keep my calories within a good range but the meal was much heavier than I would like. Will see tomorrow how it affected my weight.
8/12 – 177.9 Kept calories low today to see if I can get a drop in numbers tomorrow.
8/13 – 176.4 Will be playing tennis today so fingers crossed for another drop tomorrow.

08/12 - 147.2 My weekend out of town wasn't a total free-for-all, but it did push the scale up a little more than I would have liked. Tired and not feeling well today, but using that as a reason to and not an excuse to not get back on track today!
08/13 - 145.8Back down a little and physically feeling much better. Yesterday I could feel how slow and out of it I was, but I completed my boxing class as best I could, which helped a lot. I ate a frozen dinner but tracked it, and went to sleep early. Feeling like a new person today - and wearing yet another old pencil skirt to work! We have a family dinner out tonight so I have checked out the menu already and I have a few healthier options in mind for ordering so I don't set myself back too much.
08/14 - 146.6 Wasn't as good as I should have been at dinner, but still tracked it as best I could and didn't overstuff myself. Back on my shake, salad, and water today! If the weather cooperates, I'll try to get a neighborhood walk in too.

Hi everyone. Glad to see everyone back again for another round and that we have so many new people joining. Last round I finally got into a new decade (139.6) but messed up right away and killed that weight,lol. Stress got me for a couple of days so I am back at it again and will try to get back down.

08/11 - 141.5 up a bit today, not unexpected. Got into a bit of an argument with my husband last night and ate my emotions today. Men just drive me crazy with how simple they think sometimes, at least that is the way husband is. I crave carbs and comfort food when I am upset, so I consoled myself with them. We have been married so many years we hardly ever argue and when we do we make up fairly quickly, but he just makes me so angry sometimes. Uugghhh
08/12 - 145.0 so here is the rest of my emotional eating on Saturday and I was horrible yesterday. Of course we have already made up, but then he took me to lunch to apologize and I had 2 bloody Mary's so the sodium and carbs are through the roof right now. Water, water, and water today to get me back down. 5.4 pounds from Saturday morning to Monday morning is such a bummer. I have been doing this long enough to know not to freak out though and within a couple of days I will be back down. One weekend of emotional eating and drinking and this is what happens. I have to learn how to deal with things a little better I think, lol.
08/13 - 145.0 I am thinking this is all hormonal. I have been extremely sensitive and moody the last couple of days. I also wanted salt/sour things all weekend and couldn't satisfy my cravings. There is no reason for my weight to be this high and still be up other than stupid hormones. I know when just looking at my husband annoys me that there is something else going on. I am actually feeling a bit better today and can see how crazy I have been the last couple of days. I should have known when the scale jumped up almost 6 pounds over night and has stayed there something else is influencing it. Hopefully by Thursday or Friday I will be back to normal. Just have to stay the course at this point.
08/14 - 142.7 back down and feeling back to "normal". I am not mad at the world anymore, lol, and can actually think straight again. I love being a woman sometimes! Hopefully I will be back down to my 140/141 tomorrow and be able to hold steady there the rest of the round. I have 1 more round after this one to try and get into the next decade and stabilize before birthdays, vacation, and 3 day weekends take over for a month. The end of August and first half of September are going to be challenging, but I think I am up for it.

08/13 185.8 Well I'm just gonna jump right in here. It has been a long summer and i'm glad the kids are getting back to school now. I had to have surgery (2x!) for breast cancer and getting started with radiation next week. But overall I managed to maintain my weight and now I'm ready for the scale to start moving downward again. I would like to get close to 170 by the end of the year which might be a bit ambitious but I need my clothes to fit me again and all of my "big" stuff is feeling tight.
08/14 186.8 I'm not sure where this bump came from except that I actually put too much salt in my zoodles last night. Drinking water for sure. Did 45 minutes of hiit at the gym so that was good! Trying to think about how I can eat successfully tonight at the kid's back to school swim pizza party.. I'm bringing watermelon as my side contribution.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

@hammycakes - Prayers to you. I know how grueling daily radiation is due to my own breast cancer a few years ago. However, I'm doing fantastic. It was all worth it. You are going to do great.6

@shunggie to be honest I felt a little salty towards your comment. I tend to hold in my issues and only express issues that I feel like I have control over. Weight is a control. Eating is control. Exercise is control. My frustration has heightend about my weight loss because in reality I have so much going on that is frustrating that can't be controlled, which I am forced to deal with rather than look for avenues of change. Health issues, family issues, money issues, hoursehold issues, job issues and so forth. Just because I expressed my aggravating towards the lack of change towards my weight in an app designed for weight loss and towards a group of people in a group that discusses weight loss doesn't mean that's is all "I am going through" it's just all I choose to discuss.

08/12: 216.7 Still not down to my EW in round 85, but at least the number is going down.
08/13: 215.4 I did a water fast yesterday. I've been having some cramping which is not normal after menopause, so I'm having to go in for a Hysterosonography tomorrow. I'm feeling pretty nervous about it. Have any of you had this procedure?
08/14: 214.5 Continued fasting for the most part of the day yesterday. For dinner I had a cup of beef bone broth and just under a 1/2 cup of fresh raw brocolli florets.
I went in for the Hysterosonography today. Was feeling pretty nervous about it so my dr called in one pill of lorazepam. I guess it helped because it wasn't as painful as I was fearing. They did say the lining of my uterus has thickened, found a polyp in my uterus and a possible benign cyst on my left ovary. I'm waiting on my dr to get in touch with me to see what's next.
I'm expecting a gain tomorrow ☹ I broke my fast when my husband & youngest son wanted to take me to lunch & a movie. We had yummy calzones for lunch and then I had popcorn & coke at the movie.... plus my son surprised me with a box of Junior Mints candy since he knows they're my favorite 😋 I'm hoping I didn't undo the progress I've made the last couple of days🤞🙏

08/11 - 139 9/31 I am really getting so frustrated I can cry. This isn't fair anymore... If anyone pulled my activity, constant moving and eating habits they would be withering to nothing... I am really starting to hate this. I am working way to hard to see no results. This is not fair!!!! I have even dropped foods and replaced them with fruits and veggies last week... I haven't eaten this healthy in almost two months but I seem to see steadily be climbing. I dont know what to do anymore 😭😭
08/12 - 140 10/31 something has to change. I have been watching my macros and they seem fine. Super frustrated. Going to try one last thing. Hopefully that helps or else I am going to need a nutritionist or something to really beat this weight

So apparently people don't like to hear frustration over lack of weight loss (on a weight loss app... how annoying right? 😒😒) so I'm just going to shut up about it and talk about how my Carpal tunnel syndrome has been acting up. My arm/hand literally feels like it is on fire and my Fitbit has been telling me I have been averaging three hours of sleep a night...with working 13 hour shifts daily and having had 4 days off in three months it is getting frustrating I wake up in the morning barely able to move my neck because of the positions I am trying to look for so my hand/arm won't randomly go numb at night. I am also booking an appointment for my husband with the doctors...his migraines are getting worse and I am concerned about what this means for him. I'm sure that is frustrating for him. I don't know if I will be able to make rent, regardless of the hours I am pulling because of my man's sick days. I love him and will always stand by him but it's getting frustrating currently my family is falling apart, after my aunt passed away last year, you think it would have brought everyone closer but it seems everyone is just distancing themselves and beginning to seperate...a once super tight family is no longer tight but almost becoming angsty towards one another. So frustrating now I can keep going (I would fill a page with how much frustration I am currently feeling in my personal life) but because I don't expect responses and this isn't a therapy session I think this will be my last rant of whatever is going on and stick to "time and place reasoning" no one here has to read about how frustrated I am feeling during these very small couple of seconds that are actually about me (since for obvious and understandable reasons, I don't get in real life) but please learn to be supportive or scroll (or at least don't tell people to pretty much shut up passive aggresaivley) So as of right now, while on a weight loss app, called give me 10 days...which is about loosing weight ... (Apparently that needs to be stressed) I am still feeling frustrated about my weight.

08/11 – 185.2 – Not bad for a post-party weigh-in, but I expect to see another bounce this week. Although most of my house guests left today, my son and his fiancé are here for the week. We have lots of outings planned, since this is essentially another vacation. I’m hoping to make good choices, get some exercise, and end this round without a gain.
08/12 – 185.2 – Beach day! Did my best to stay hydrated, but didn’t make the best food choices today. All that sun and surf and the wine with dinner have made me too lazy to log before calling it a night. Oh, well. I think I just need a break.
08/13 – 186.4 – Big bounce, but not unexpected. Spent the day walking around the city and made better food choices today so we’ll see what tomorrow brings.
08/14 – 185.8 – Looking better. Weather cancelled today’s amusement park trip, but I think we were all ready for a quieter day. Although we had a late dinner out, food choices were more in line with my usual fare and I logged my meals. Too much sodium again, but I stayed under my calorie limit. Didn’t get my walk in, but I managed to get some chores done while the others were out. So overall, not a bad day.

A bit up today, but not for cause so it'll come down.
My DH and I are taking turns living in a larger city about an hour from the small town where we both work so that our sons can go to a good high school. This means that I am I spend two to three days away from my normal exercise routine. I also telecommute for those two days which means I walk a lot less than when I am at home. Today I did a free workout at a nearby gym but I don't think I'll join because it's costs to much to only go two days a week. Tomorrow I'm going to try a gym where you can pay for individual visits.

08/13 65.1kg and keeping it good. Not expecting to lose until I go home next round. Maintenance is fine for the holiday.
08/14 65.05 maintaining. Got another mini break coming up tomorrow and then back to lake house on Saturday
08/15 64.9 kg...... A loss! I'm away for the next 2 nights including wedding anniversary tomorrow. I'll be as good as I can be with little control over the food available.
