This round is gonna be weird as last ended, and this started in Las Vegas, where all my discipline, rules, plans, diets and what-not seemed to have stayed on the plane when I arrived in Vegas. I’ve probably gained all my weight back which I’ve lost since June. So my guess is my first weigh-in being back is around 165lbs. (168 was my highest!) We’ll see tomorrow how much damage Vegas means to me 🤣

Wow! “Only” 4lbs gain. I was sure my Vegas trip had done more damage than that. Not fun to restart my milestone I already reached, but hey. I knew it would, it was my choice. I enjoyed the trip, and now I just have to get back at it.

08/11 139.5, walked 32,000 steps yesterday during the festival, and woke up thirsty so need to drink more water. Today I’m on one stage mostly so my legs can have a much deserved rest!
08/12 140, had a really fun weekend, but got sunburnt so aloe is my best friend right now. Back to regular eating and exercise.
08/13 139.7, back on my way down. It should be a good day of eating and have a exercise class after work. I have a happy hour with my sorority alum group in the city so going to join for a bit, but will get a club soda since had too much drinking over the weekend and really want a good sleep so can power through the rest of the week and make up for the weekend.

8/11 - 158.5 - holding steady with very gradual loss. Last day with mom @quiltingjaine here. She flies home tomorrow leaving me with a freezer full of keto meals/entrées.
8/12 - 158 - and then the tummy revolted. And then @quiltingjaine & I had a carb-full meal before she left to go home. Been eating some emotions today. Tomorrow it’s gym & sun and clean eating.
8/13 - 158 - glucose was up, but the rest of the numbers are good so far. May not get much sun today, but I’ll still hit the gym & watch my mouth!10 -

Round 86 goals- I have been inspired from others in this group to stop eating after 6:30. I will also be adding a minimum of 30 minutes of spinning each day I am home. I will be out of town 3.5 days this challenge for a fun trip and I want to maintain healthy eating choices and limit alcohol. I would like to lose 2 lbs this round
08/11- 157 lbs- up since yesterday but I am not surprised. Had a late dinner celebration with friends, drinks and dessert. The beginning of the day went well with spinning and healthy eating.

08/11 …..197.0 ….. Yesterday’s stats: 1152 Calories In / 2428 Calories Out. 27 Net Carbs. 13,909 Total Steps & 5.89 Total Miles. 12/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 3 hours & 56 minutes. I walked for 52 minutes & did yard work for 67 minutes. A successful day. My NSV today is that, even with my ups & downs, I am still wearing my clothes, they are not wearing me. It wasn’t always that way! Good luck this round everyone!
08/12 …..199.8 ….. Horrible binge very late last night. I didn’t realize until this morning that I didn’t even have dinner. It was my heavy work day in this tourist business & I did not plan my meals well. I talked to a late arriving customer who set up a contract for some road workers to be in multiple cabins this week & I forgot about eating until the hunger & sugar drop hit me hard & fast. Calories In 2863 / Calories Out 3286. 260 Net Carbs. Ouch! 22,009 Total Steps & 9.31 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours & I slept 4 hours & 4 minutes and I’ve woke up this morning feeling like I’ve been hit by a Mack Truck. I rigorously cleaned cabins for 217 minutes & I walked for 40 minutes at moderate pace. I hope I can pull out of this carb-induced, overworked & exhausted state. However, No Matter What, my diet will be on point today!
08/13 …..196.6 ….. BAM! There it is. I’m so happy to see that number today! I hope not to ruin it, however, as I am making a trip out-of-town for my brother’s specialist appointment. There will be a restaurant involved. His choice to pick. However, I am going to try to limit my extravagances to JUST THE ONE MEAL and not let it blow the entire day. So I am thawing out my prepped dinner for later tonight. I’m also taking a protein snack in case I need it. Yesterday was a great day. Yesterday’s stats: 1150 Calories In / 2645 Calories Out. 23 Net Carbs. 14,757 Total Steps & 6.24 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 5 hours & 19 minutes forcing myself back to sleep after just 3 hours. The extra has made me feel great. I did about 15 minutes of yard work and I walked for 20 minutes around my property. I couldn’t leave for a neighborhood walk as I had to wait for a customer’s late arrival. Everyone is doing great & I’m so glad to see all the progress!

08/12 - 147.2 My weekend out of town wasn't a total free-for-all, but it did push the scale up a little more than I would have liked. Tired and not feeling well today, but using that as a reason to and not an excuse to not get back on track today!
08/13 - 145.8Back down a little and physically feeling much better. Yesterday I could feel how slow and out of it I was, but I completed my boxing class as best I could, which helped a lot. I ate a frozen dinner but tracked it, and went to sleep early. Feeling like a new person today - and wearing yet another old pencil skirt to work! We have a family dinner out tonight so I have checked out the menu already and I have a few healthier options in mind for ordering so I don't set myself back too much.

08/11 - 137.4 lbs: I've been off track for a while, just riding it out.
08/12 - 138.0 lbs: TOM finally started, that explains the week of cravings. I think I'm over it. Of course, I start every day strong and sort of go off the rails around 3pm. Need to break that habit!
08/13 - 137.8 lbs: Feeling pretty good about where I'm at today. I did not go off the rails at 3pm yesterday for the first time in a long time, progress! Spent a couple hours cleaning out the garage instead and before I knew it, it was after 5pm. Maybe I just need to distract myself each day around 3pm... Heading out to play some pickleball in a few. 8/11: 225.4 (+0.8)/19.1 (+0.1). I'm not sure exactly what happened, but not overly concerned, either. I thought I did a good job at least with portioning yesterday (came in at almost exactly my calorie goal), but food "quality" was not where it usually is. Weekends are always harder than the week, and today is no exception. My wife wants to go to a food festival, and then we're touring a really cool distillery (with tastings) right after. I'm going to keep focusing on portions as much as I can, and trying to stick to my macros.
8/12: 229.4 (+4.0)/19.5 (+0.4). Yesterday felt like a disaster, from beginning to end food-wise. I lost it for a day, didn't track at all, and didn't feel like posting.
8/13: 228.6 (-0.8)/19.4 (-0.1). Spent yesterday recovering from Sunday. I ate so bad on Sunday I felt sick most of the day Monday. I didn't track my food, but I think I generally did okay. My updated goal for this round is just to get back to my starting weight for the round.

She really is a bit of a $h!t when it comes to me taking care of myself, but I have to take at least SOME responsibility for my choices. The food festival by itself wouldn't have been so bad by itself, but the distillery after was not a great move. And neither was dinner that night (I would have been happy with a protein shake, to be honest).

Weight -- I don't like to set weight goals since I can control only what I eat & do, not what I weigh. However, my aim this round is to be consistently below 160, and my goal for the remainder of 2019 is 140 or less.

08/12 - 207.8! Up a little but so happy to see this number on the scale. Trying to do a good job of sticking to keto. Today is the first day of my fourth week and the first time I'm struggling with cravings. I just want a sandwich! Grr... Maybe it's a side effect of resisting so many temptations this weekend. Trying to stick to my macros and calories and to continue resisting. I'll try to find something keto friendly to scratch this itch so I dont obsess over cravings. Back to my lowest weight in twi years 🤩 frustrating how much easier it is to stick to diet and exercise goals when the scale shows progress, but awareness of this type of thing is the first step to changing. Still, I'm very motivated to stick to food and exercise goals today. Made an epic fresh tomato sauce w lean ground beef and zoodles. Excited to have it again for lunch today

08/13 185.8 Well I'm just gonna jump right in here. It has been a long summer and i'm glad the kids are getting back to school now. I had to have surgery (2x!) for breast cancer and getting started with radiation next week. But overall I managed to maintain my weight and now I'm ready for the scale to start moving downward again. I would like to get close to 170 by the end of the year which might be a bit ambitious but I need my clothes to fit me again and all of my "big" stuff is feeling tight.

Last round I finally got into a new decade (139.6) but messed up right away and killed that weight,lol. Stress got me for a couple of days so I am back at it again and will try to get back down.

08/11 - 141.5 up a bit today, not unexpected. Got into a bit of an argument with my husband last night and ate my emotions today. Men just drive me crazy with how simple they think sometimes, at least that is the way husband is. I crave carbs and comfort food when I am upset, so I consoled myself with them. We have been married so many years we hardly ever argue and when we do we make up fairly quickly, but he just makes me so angry sometimes. Uugghhh
08/12 - 145.0 so here is the rest of my emotional eating on Saturday and I was horrible yesterday. Of course we have already made up, but then he took me to lunch to apologize and I had 2 bloody Mary's so the sodium and carbs are through the roof right now. Water, water, and water today to get me back down. 5.4 pounds from Saturday morning to Monday morning is such a bummer. I have been doing this long enough to know not to freak out though and within a couple of days I will be back down. One weekend of emotional eating and drinking and this is what happens. I have to learn how to deal with things a little better I think, lol.
08/13 - 145.0 I am thinking this is all hormonal. I have been extremely sensitive and moody the last couple of days. I also wanted salt/sour things all weekend and couldn't satisfy my cravings. There is no reason for my weight to be this high and still be up other than stupid hormones. I know when just looking at my husband annoys me that there is something else going on. I am actually feeling a bit better today and can see how crazy I have been the last couple of days. I should have known when the scale jumped up almost 6 pounds over night and has stayed there something else is influencing it. Hopefully by Thursday or Friday I will be back to normal. Just have to stay the course at this point.

Sorry guys, I've been missing this last week or so, spending so many hours at the hospital with my Dad & caring for him with his dementia whilst he recovers from his hip operation after his fall 2 weeks ago just overtook everything else. But he is back in the care home now and the pressure is less so I'm back! Thank you all for your best wishes, prayers & thoughts, they are much appreciated.. I've continued to weigh daily and kept up my walking to and from the hospital. Will try to catch up on everyone's posts.

I subscribe to Country Walking magazine, they have a challenge going for their readers to walk 1000 miles during the year; the challenge has helped so many people lose weight, tackle their depression and other mental health issues as well as physical health issues too, so many people have shared how it has changed their life. I did the 1000 mile challenge each year, but when I took early retirement I started walking much further each day, it helped me lose a further 21 pounds over and above just getting into the healthy BMI range without cutting down further on my calorie intake, so I decided to make my challenge walking 3000 miles during the year. In 2018 I actually walked 3300 hence that is my challenge again for this year!!
Walking is when I do my planning, problem solve and clear my head, if I can't get out to do a walk I have withdrawal symptoms now it is so much part of my life!! I walk anywhere and everywhere !!!9 -

Why?! Rode several miles on my bike Saturday and walked most of Sunday. And logged in everything I ate. So, why?! Never went over my allotted 1200 calories for a day. Have to assume for now trend will be down again this round. Just frustrating. Trying really hard to be “good” in a sustainable way that could last long term.

08/13- 159- Still working off my poor choices from the weekend. This morning was a treadmill workout and leg day! Treadmill felt like I was running through mud. Much more difficult than the last time I did this workout. This time, my heart rate hit peak super early and it all felt like a real struggle. Oh well. Good days and bad days I suppose… Wedding Anniversary today! Please God, don’t let me drink all the wine!

08/13 394.4 – Well I am back. Had a busy weekend. I am still trying to get back on track. I had a great WW meeting. I attended the meeting. The goal is to attend the meeting again Saturday and to lose weight. I had a 1.2 pound gain this week. For a total of 3.6 gain. But I am going to turn this around. Not worried, just going to keep at it is all. I got my 7000 steps in yesterday. My eating could have been better. I had a salad last night instead of fast food. Have a good challenge Everyone! And let's weigh in regardless, salt, periods, binges, etc. It is part of the process. The important thing is sticking with it and not giving up :flowerforyou: You all are doing amazing!!! Even if you are not losing like myself you are still doing good because you are here. We got this!

I joined MFP on March 27, 2010 weighing in at 388 pounds. I was re-gaining weight and stumbled up on it while trying to get back on track. I was determined never to see 400+ on that scale again for me.
I have been morbidly obese all my life. I have a lifetime of mental and physical scars from obesity. In October 2004 I had Gastric Bypass surgery. WLS (Weight Loss Surgery) was the best gift that I could and did give to myself.
Between 2008 and 2010 I gradually gained back 80 of almost 300 pounds lost initially after weight loss surgery. I never reached my goal weight of 200 pounds. I still managed to keep off over 65 percent of the weight I lost which is very good and I am very proud of my accomplishments since 2004. It has literally changed my life for the better on all levels. I am here to lose re-gained weight and to reach my initial goal weight. I am in no hurry. I am taking this one day at a time and I am in it for the long haul.
Surgery did not fix the head. It is a good tool and the best gift I have given to myself, but it was not the easy way out as many people think. Once the honeymoon period is over after the WLS it is up to the patient to keep the weight off.
On August 29, 2011-- I was admitted to Intensive Out Patient Eating Disorder Program to learn how to manage my binge eating disorder effectively. The program is wonderful indeed and will be instrumental in me reaching all of my goals. The focus of this program was how to eat and not diet. Weight loss was not a goal of the program. I actually gained 20 pounds in program. But I had to get thru a lot of stuff and my the time I was released I had stopped gaining. I was discharged from program on December 3, 2011.
My tool is still working for me today. My head is still the issue. SO the struggle continues. I will never beat myself up again. I fight the fine fight faithfully and positively everyday. Because that is what will get me to my goals one day. Even though it may not show up on the scale every day -- Everyday I make progress one way or another just by showing up, waking up and trying.
