Day 01 – 08/14 ……197.8……
Day 02 – 08/15 ……195.4……Whoosh! A good day yesterday. Stayed on point all around.
Day 03 – 08/16 ……196.0…… Oops. Pizza.
Day 04 – 08/17 ……196.2…… Normal fluctuation. A conservative dinner out yesterday in which I showed much restraint.
Day 05 – 08/18 ……196.0…… A bit better.
Day 06 – 08/19 ……196.0…… Backyard BBQ always stalls me.
Day 07 – 08/20 ……195.4…… A nice well-earned overnight drop.
Day 08 – 08/21 ……196.7…… So happy I found the part 2 challenge. It is exciting to do the whole thing this time. I had an increase due to DQ yesterday. My own fault & today I’ve paid for it. Good luck everyone!
Day 09 – 08/22 ……196.2…… Better. I fought the cravings last night & won.
Day 10 – 08/23 ……194.4…… WooHoo! Worked hard for this yesterday eating just 1100 calories and burning over 3200. “ Let’s just keep it up Donna,” she says to self!
Day 11 – 08/24 ……196.6…… Fish fry dinner out last night. Stayed within calories but over on carbs. No worries. Today is remedy day. Flushing sodium!
Day 12 – 08/25 ……196.4 ……s..l..o..w.. progress. But it’s a journey, right?
Day 13 – 08/26 ……193.0…… Travel Day. I hope I choose well & I don’t come home & blow the whole day bingeing just because I had a nice restaurant lunch while out of town. That’s the goal today! Scale will be up a bit tomorrow, but hopefully it will be just water retention that can be erased within 48 hours.
Day 14 – 08/27 …197.8…… After Travel Weigh-in. Nearly 5 pounds gained overnight! Much of it has to be water from the restaurant food & the late night binge I spiraled into. I’ll be working hard on flushing today & making good choices.
Day 15 – 08/28 ……195.6…… Losing some of that binge & travel weight from Monday. More to go…..
Day 16 – 08/29 ……195.4…… BBQ last night stalled me a bit, but still moving slightly down on the scale.
Day 17 – 08/30 ……193.6…… Extra low calories & carbs yesterday on purpose to shake things up! Yes to the whoosh. Today, back to my normal healthy plan & hopefully another difference (even if small) on the scale. Progress is what counts!
Day 18 – 08/31 ……192.6…… Thrilled with this but traveling today so I must keep myself in control!

Day 19 – 09/01……192.6…… Staying level with the scale, even over a holiday weekend so far. Going to try to keep it strong!
Day 20 – 09/02 ……194.2…… I ate 885 Calories last night and gained 1.6 pounds. Wow!
Day 21 – 09/03 ……194.8…… I obviously enjoyed my Labor Day Holiday. However, body is acting weird on scale (see yesterday) so its time to shake things up!

Day 23 – 09/05 ……194.6……slightly better thanks to bathroom duty TMI. But I really need to work harder toward the 180’s. Going on a picnic later but will be mindful & will hike along river while there to offset the meal. I want the 180’s this month. I mean, I REALLY REALLY want it!
Day 24 – 09/06 ……193.0……I really shook it up yesterday. Hiked instead of just walked and added a few carbs by having a lovely riverside picnic near the trail. Also danced for almost 20 minutes last night. Sample song, “To Love Somebody” by the Bee Gees. It wasn’t fast, but it got a great vibe & groove on and put me back in the mood to stay on my journey. Music working its magic! I hope you'll put that little 3 minute song on and be inspired today. Join me!
Day 25 – 09/07 ……193.4……A slight gain because of a very severe diabetic sugar drop late last night that forced me to eat carbs specifically laid out by my doctor’s plan for my Type 2 Diabetes. Otherwise, I had a great on point day with calories & extra exercise. Moving on.
Day 26 – 09/08 ……193.4…… Happy with this after the fresh zucchini bread from my neighbor last night!
Day 27 – 09/09 ……193.6…… Finished off the zucchini bread last night so I just barely treaded water. Back to business today!
Day 28 – 09/10 ……193.6…… Same old song & Dance. Come on September, throw me a bone!
Day 29 – 09/11 ……193.6…… I hope for a whoosh tomorrow before the travels!
Day 30 – 09/12 ……195.4…… Unexpected travel yesterday causing gain today. Now Travel & restaurant again today for an occasion. Another gain expected tomorrow due to probable water retention & lack of exercise/movement. Uggg.
Day 31 – 09/13 ……197.8…… After Travel weigh-in. Likely a lot of water retention. I’ll be working on this the next few days.
Day 32 – 09/14 ……197.4…… Still retaining traveling water from sodium filled meals & lack of movement!
Day 33 – 09/15 ……193.0…… Whoosh! There goes that water retention from the Chinese food. Now, to stay on track until the next travel day.
Day 34 – 09/16 ……191.0…… I just can’t tell you how thrilled I am. I really worked hard for this yesterday!
Day 35 – 09/17 ……190.6…… I really needed these drops these past few days. Upcoming travel again which always reeks havoc but it’s usually a temporary set-back.
Day 36 – 09/18 ……191.8…… Out of town travel with lots of car sitting & restaurant is in the day’s plan this afternoon. I ate too much (a double helping) of my “diet” pre-prepped food last night. It showed up on the scale this morning. And now travel with restaurant today. This required trip came at a bad time.
Day 37 – 09/19 ……195.0…… After travel weigh-in. Very disappointed. I practiced more restraint than normal at the restaurant. Food choices not the greatest, but quantity of food eaten much smaller than days gone by. Water retention sucks!
Day 38 – 09/20 ……193.2…… Dropping some of the water weight. More to go!

I love you 😙electrolytes. I felt 80% of my normal yesterday. Got a few things accomplished. I did not reach 128 ozs of water yesterday, because I was running more errands. Today, I will.
9/21 - 185.2 - IF/21hrs/Meal times~5pm, 7pm. 18g carbs. Did not drink enough water yesterday, but I managed to get in all of my electrolytes. Took a "littles" walk with my Great Niece 😊 She likes to walk and I could walk her speed without too much difficulty. My hip joints and muscles are still somewhat stiff and painful, but I've got to move! Using a heating pad at night has been beneficial. Ketones detected today. Edging my way back into ketosis.

09/20 - 199.6! Wow, was not expecting that. Had a decent day, worked hard, exercised hard and ate well. Had a friend cancel plans at the last minute and it's been a bummer. Idk why I care so much, I think I'm just lonely and bored and was looking forward to some company. Oh well, still a good day overall.
09/21 - 199! What the heck? Managed to eat within my food goals so far and exercise hard again, going to take a rest day tomorrow. Had lots of work I wanted to do today but instead I'm just watching the walking dead and nursing a migraine. I think I'm burned out from an intense week of stress and work and not having any human interaction along the way. Have almost no appetite and all food sounds gross to me right now, I tried to eat some salmon and I basically had to choke it down and force myself to eat it. It's been this way for a few days now. I've made myself meet my goals but it's been hard and maybe that's why I am unexpectedly down so much now. Things from the garden still seem good, at least, so I've been eating lots of tomatoes and figs from there

REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

09/20 …..193.2 ….. A water release drop after travel which is always welcomed. 2.4 more pounds to go to get to my lowest weight last round. Tonight is a social gathering at the local fish fry. Also there will be two days of individual travel next week which I so wish I could put off, but can’t. I am already worried about this round but will make every day I possibly can COUNT! Yesterday’s stats: 1249 Calories In / 2596 Calories burned. 20 Net Carbs. 14,589 Total Steps & 6.17 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 5 hours & 52 minutes and needed every drop of it. I wanted to go hiking on a beautiful Michigan fall day but customer service here at the cabins prevented me from going too far. I fit in a 53 minute walk in my neighborhood trying to pick up extra speed. Extra calorie burn 366. Good luck everyone on your personal goals this round! Each & every one of you inspire me!

Yesterday’s stats: 1439 Calories In / 3056 Calories Out. 37 Net Carbs. 21,403 Total steps & 9.03 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 3 hours & 21 minutes. I walked at moderate pace for 39 minutes, I did low-impact aerobics for 22 minutes and I rigorously cleaned tourist cabins for 53 minutes. Total extra calorie burn was 835.

09/20 120.8 Starting off like last round with a 1.1 lb drop at the start! Whooshes like this tend to be followed by bumps up, plateaus, and then drops as weight stabilizes, so hope that it stabilizes soon! Weight day (deadlift, lunges, push-ups, inverted rows, and planks with cable rows) + 30 minute spin class, so won’t be surprised with water retention tomorrow. Feel like I wrote this 10 days ago too :-) Going for sushi/sashimi today and hopefully with pre-planning today it is IIFYM! Hope everyone has a great weekend!
09/21 120.8 No hugs needed! I am thrilled that my weight is the same as yesterday! My usual pattern with JGM10D over the last several rounds is to have a whoosh the first day, then a 1+ lb gain the next day, a plateau for several days, then small drops to end up a little bit below the first day. Holding the drop the first day is fantastic!!!! Xtrain (spin + HIIT) for cardio today; otherwise rest. Calories good so far! 10.8 lbs to goal!

I’m in, though a little late. This will be about my millionth time falling off the wagon and coming back. I am now at the absolute heaviest I have ever been and I can definitely feel it all over my body. Hating how I feel right now and I am definitely ready to change it. My biggest goal for this round is the focus on healthy eating, control my urges to eat whatever I feel like, and just to try and get back into some sort of workout routine. I really want to try and do this right this time. To do that I need to keep telling myself that nice and slow is the way to go!

Dealing with a knee injury right now, so getting into a fitness routine will be an extra challenge, but I am determined to do it. 09/22 169.8 I have now lost over 10lbs since beginning to use MFP again! Water weight is still weight you carry around so I’m good with whooshing it now and getting down to focusing on fatloss soon. 1.8lbs away from being 12st again makes me happy, as I’m definitely using each stone as a milestone. Yesterday I walked my 10k steps, drank more water and even had a curry I’d prepared weeks ago and frozen (definitely not diet-friendly, but I’m not going to throw out food, just work the rest of my cals for the day around it).
