October 3 191.6 Woo Hoo! What a turbulent week of travel, ups & downs! Fighting very hard for success. 180βs I am talking to YOUβ¦..Bring it ON!
10/10 191.8 I made a ton of progress this week that was completely wiped out by 2 trips in the same week including lots of car sitting/driving & restaurant food. I hope a lot of this is fluid retention. I picked up some parsley, I shall be drinking a parsley tea today!
10/17 189.0 Working it back down. Not always easy when my own body fights me with several health conditions & many medications. As time goes on, I am becoming more & more aware of my limitations and the reasons for my fluctuations. That is a gift.
10/24 188.4 I am working so hard for progress. Its such a slow process these days. Ahβ¦to be young again!
10/30 188.0 Travel today.
November 7 186.0 More progress than I realized for this past week. Iβve been stuck the last few days so I am going to rethink things. If it keeps up, an egg fast may be in order. Or a beef & butter fast. Last resort though as I donβt find either very pleasurable!
11/14 188.8 This is not going according to plan. Iβve got to get a grip!
11/21 186.8 Was a better number yesterday but I blew it. Still, a 2 lb loss this past week is nothing to sneeze at. I still need to get that grip!
11/28 185.6 Travel this week set me back, but this is still an improvement over last week. I am determined that Thanksgiving will not be the start of my usual fall/winter spiral downward in defeat. I worry more about all the big city travel for shopping than I do about the actual holiday meals. The meals are one day (just donβt keep the leftovers! Give, Give, Give). The shopping season is 5-6 weeks of sitting in cars driving and eating in restaurants. The diabetes only complicates things. Iβm going to have to plan wisely.
December 5 184.6 The Christmas traveling begins today. It will be an up & down week!

01/09 194.0 Almost the entire gain overnight. Traveled yesterday. Sittingβ¦.sitting and a restaurant. The meal wasnβt worth it. Today will be a very strict day of repentance.
01/16 189.7. Its been a week of ups & downs. Glad to be back under 190 but I feel like I deserve to be under 180. However, my appetite and cravings donβt always agree. Keeping the faith. Iβll get there!
01/23 189.9 Struggling with both health & temptation. But I never give up!
01/30 191.8 Iβve had several severe glucose drops in the past 2 weeks. I am still working out the carb formula and easing back in. Some travel this past week also derailed me. Iβm staying on top of it as best as I can.
February 6 192.1 I am going to try something new for the next week to 10 days. I will focus mainly on calories, allow more carbs to bring my glucose up and keep fats a bit lower to help my gall bladder take a rest. If this affects me in a negative way, I will not continue to pursue it. I do see it as temporary until I can figure out my T2D issues. I will continue trying to incorporate less carbs than before my journey began, but it will not be my main focus. Weβll see how it goes!
02/13 194.2 Glucose running a bit high, but that sure feels better than too low and it doesnβt make me shovel food in for emergency. Now to get the numbers right. It definitely is a science. Keeping the carbs under 100 but over 75 is still too high for my T2D it seems. So I will work on continuing to slowly lower them until I get to the sweet spot where my scale is moving, my glucose numbers are running good and I feel well. I suspect that will be around or under 50 but not as low as 20. Doing this gradually is what will make the difference. I will continue to work on this. My weight shot up this week after travel, but is slowly coming back down with the tweaks. I'll be working on it as faithfully as I can.
02/20 195.4 Still struggling but trying to get back to basics. I was up to a higher weight this week after travel but am working it back down. 32g carbs & 1203 calories yesterday helped me achieve an overnight drop.

03/12 199.8 If I walk past a loaf of bread in the grocery aisle Iβll be in the 200βs just from looking at it. Sheesh. Iβm doing so well on SOME OF THE DAYS. Iβve got to work on consistency.

(last challenge update)~ 200.8 This challenge took us through all the major holidays and I was definitely off-the-rails from Thanksgiving through the winter. But I did stay accountable, log, exercise, drink water and try many new things (some unsuccessfully) so all has not been lost.

October 3 - 182.410/10 - 181.4November 7 - 183 - Scale weight has been up and down this past week. It may get a little more erratic in the days ahead, because I reset my calorie intake (increase) and macros (higher carb grams) two days ago.
10/17 - 181.2 - 183.2 on the 11th and 180.8 on the13th. Then up and down again. It's like driving on a rocky road.
10/24 - 184 - Fluid retention. All joints feeling tight this morning.
10/31 - 181.8 - 2.2 lbs lost
so far. Smh. Takes me a long time to get rid of fat.11/8 - 182.6December 5 - 185.4

March Actual: March hasn't been good to me - up 2.5 pounds. It's unlikely I will meet my goal for March. At least I'm still in my maintenance range, but moving farther from my goal the last couple weeks. Some is stress eating. I need to be mindful of that and CUT IT OUT. I also need to remind myself I am near the MIDDLE of my maintenance range. High-middle, yes, but not bouncing off the ceiling like I was on Tuesday (by scale weight; average lags behind and helps temper those silly spikes). Let's keep at it.
Challenge Weight loss goal: Range between 142-148
Actual Weight loss for the challenge: I have stayed in my goal range during the entire slow steady increase the last quarter of 2019, and now I'm getting back down where I want to stay. π€― π I was at a pretty low weight at the beginning of the challenge - a ten-day average under my sustainable long-term goal of 143. I'm actually still above that, and so I am above where I stared, but ya know what? It's ok. π π π
