If anyone is interested, I have
Essential 12 Minutes Workout (there are 4 different workouts on this DVD)
Jane Fonda Firm & Burn (definitely for beginners)
Michelle Dozois Work It Off (more intermediate to advanced)
Biggest Loser Power Sculpt (more for beginners)
Jillian Michaels Killer Abs (there are 3 different workouts, getting progressively harder)
Just PM me if you are interested. I only look for the cost of the postage which in the US is approximately $3.

Did the Biggest Loser Calorie Burn Workout DVD. The plan for tomorrow is to do an abs Diet Workout.
Exercise would be one of my hobbies (the one that keeps you in shape). I also like to cook, maybe changing ingredients to make it more healthy.
Crafts would be another (the one that makes you happy)
Shopping (especially in thrift stores or in grocery stores – always looking for a bargain that we can use) would probably be the one that costs money
When I’m volunteering at the Green Room, I’m making hats or scarves for the homeless
Happy Birthday Jake!
Allie – thinking of you and sending love, I didn’t even realize that your FIL was in hospice.
Mizenkoc – welcome! My best suggestion is to log EVERYTHING. Personally, of all the “diets” out there, to me the healthiest is WW. Yet, I could never understand how something had zero points. All food has calories.

Nice!
We have flower shows here and I've gone to a couple. That would fit in nicely with some of the arrangements being judged.

How late to leave that decision?
I'm going have a nap and see how I feel when I wake up.

Unfortunately that's relatively common with cruises. We get a lot of cruise ships in here, and a worryingly high percentage come in quarantined (not letting anyone on or off) or come in and transport a large number of their passengers to hospital with some nasty virus or something.
When the cruise ships come in, I make an effort to avoid the waterfront or anywhere where the passengers will be. I don't like crowds anyway ... but you just never know what they're bringing from wherever they've been.
I hope you're feeling better ... not too badly affected!

Hobbies? Nothing that makes money, unless you count the time I spend learning about all-things-dementia. Who knows if eventually I will parlay it into a part-time job.

I have occasionally toyed with the idea of going for a PhD but have never had an interest in anything I'd like to research ... till recently. Having studied brain injury so intensively for the last 18 months, combining the study of brain injury with my Masters in IT might produce an interesting idea for a PhD.

Machka – It must have been a heartwarming experience for your husband to be able to meet those who saved/helped him even if he cannot recall those moments.
Sending positive thoughts to all.
SuziQ - FL
Yes very much so. He's been asking to go meet them for some time, but it can take time to organise these things.
This is a photo taken by the pilot on the day, on the job of picking my husband up after his accident. The helicopter contained pilot, 2 paramedics and a doctor. We just recently found out that before my husband was transported, the doctor put a burr hole in his head to relieve the pressure ... I thought that was done at hospital, but apparently it was done there, at the orchard.
We met the pilot and have the names of the rest of the crew now. We're both just so thankful!!

Hi Gals,
Betsy – read the hobbies, what is electronic prospecting?
My hobbies –
Money – embroidery - sewing and gardening
Exercise – dog walking – sometimes when I can find a class yoga
Creative – cooking
Additionally – I love to read.
Ok all good news from my little spot in California, no fires here, my home kept power, the children’s camp I work at did not; they were without power for about 25 hours. With camp in session. They were very creative and did cold breakfast, except for coffee and hot chocolate, cold sandwiches for lunch and brought in pizza for dinner. All was fine. The amazing for me thing is since most of the staff lives on campus and they were also without power when the 12 hour without power time came the entire refrigerator had to be emptied and dumped. So I backed up my car and started filling it. I got a case of eggplant (32 of them) some cottage cheese, 61 sausage patties, a dozen red bell peppers, 12 -1 pound packages of tofu, 3 lb bag of peeled garlic, an onion, a case of cauliflower, and a few other odd things… So I shared with a bunch of folks and then started freezing and cooking. I made Baba Ganoush and froze half, tonight am making eggplant parmesan. I also was able to help 6 families stretch their food budget just a bit. I really think this has been good for many of us to think about what you can and would do without power. Also is bringing to the forefront of mind our dependence on PG&E and if we are that dependent should it be forced to be more regulated, and exposed to review? Conversations that need to be had.
My mom is visiting this weekend and that is an added challenge. But I am glad I can still have time with her.
Kim from N. California

Hello everyone. I'm new here. I have been on a weight loss journey for 2 years now. I am down 56 lbs. Most of the loo was with WW. But when the plan changed I stopped losing. I lost and gained the same 5 pounds for 6 months. I tried NOOM but did not lose there either. I have gone from a very tight size 26 to a size 18/20. I can walk without getting out of breath but I need to lose more. I am 57 years old. I work in a call center and sit most of the day. I want to be able to play with my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter. I'm sorry for the long post.
Hi mizen! I have been on a weight loss journey all my life. I’m 63 now. When I tuned 60, my doctor challenged me to lose 5 pound in 6 months. I joined WW and list 40 by that date. But , life intervened and I gained 35 back. I December of 2018, I started with a new doctor who recommended low carb/high fat for me, so started that. My insurance provided an incentive for NOOM so joined that too. I did 4 months of that and did not like NOOM but did like the LCHC program. I’ve lost 60 pounds doing LCHF but am on a plateau right now. Only 10 more pounds to goal!
You can do this at any age. Find what works for you and change the way you eat. Don’t just diet!

Allie Just saw the post that FIL has passed. My sincere sympathy to you at this difficult time! I hope knowing you were able to comfort him as he passed helps your sadness! Much love and hugs to you!!!

Allie-sorry for your loss. I am sure he was comforted by your presence.1

Sharon sounds like you are, like me, “phonemically weak”. I, too, fear folk will think I'm poking fun. Look forward to hearing tips on how to strengthen my phoneme muscles.
Welcome @mizenkoc and congratulations on losing 56 lbs, being able to walk without getting out of breath. Well done! Having a sitting job is a killer. Can you stand, even for a few minutes every hour, while taking calls and keyboarding? Let us know what to call you and your general locale.
Connie, Hannah is one blessed girl!
Machka the cycling pic! Yippee!
Karen in VA, “Ewings sarcoma” what a very hard diagnosis. Prayers intensified and in for the long haul.
Allie so sorry for your sad loss. Your DFIL's passing will leave a big hole in your life. ((hugs))
Kim in N. Calif great way to handle the emptying of the fridge! Sending peaceful vibes for your Mom's visit. “PG&E... should be... more regulated” and by neutral parties with no connection to the board or former employees. Amen, sister! SMH at the PUC.
Time to get up off my duff and play in the dirt. Need to preemptively burn off the biscuits and gravy we'll brunch on. ;}
Lighter, lovelies!
