    November Total: 134k
    November Goal: 135k

    January Total: 131k
    February Total: 159.5k
    March Total: 183k
    April Total: 126k
    May Total: 128k
    June Total: 161.5k
    July Total: 151k
    August Total: 133k
    September Total: 135k
    October Total: 115k

    2019 Total through October: 1,423k / 882.26m

    Monthly average: 142.3k

Next year when you pop in here claiming your December 2019 mileage, what accomplishments will you have made?
Run at least 4 5k races. Completed 8-31
Get under 30:00 and a PR for 5k. Nope...
Average at least 135k per month, which would put me over 1,000 miles for the year.

Run the Year Team: Five for Nineteen - Completed 9-28

Sunny, low 40s F and no wind today. Had a couple of minor grumbles in my left hamstring, left Achilles, and right hip, but the left knee was fine. Also heard some robins -- probably about the last of the migration.

    2020 goals:

    Continue a 5k regimen.
    Train better.

4-13 Shine the Light 5K - 31:12 chip time; First Place male 65 and older
6-30 Strides for Starfish 5K - 31:34 chip time; 31/77 overall; second male 65 and older (no official category)
7-27 Solon Home Days 5K - 31:11 chip time; 95/141 overall; 4/6 age group (male)
8-31 Race for Freedom 5k - 31:39 chip time; 32:00 Garmin time; Third Place male 60 and older
10-13 Haunted Hustle 5k - 31:22 chip time; 47/74 overall; First Place male 60 and older

Yeah, a lot of things just came together yesterday. Maybe I should make next month's goals more aggressive? I'm still not sure how much I can do every month. Looks like you're doing really well too. You've come pretty far in the past year.

If I keep plugging away at the miles, I am on track to hit 6000 miles for 2019

Your mileage just astounds me. How long did it take you to work up to that type of mileage every day?

I started running April 2016, over time, injuries here and there, testing my endurance of just how far can I go. I do not push myself...just want to be out there running, no time constraints. My desire, my goal is the distance, how much can I endure time/miles.

Thank you for the birthday wishes!

5k this morning. A bit slow despite a fair amount of effort so feeling a bit meh about all, but I think I have a cold coming on, possibly even man flu.

Thinking about it later, getting up at 5am in the middle of winter in the rain. I should be pleased that I am out there. If I told anyone I knew IRL I did this they would flat out not believe me.

    November goals (all ish)
    1. 15 runs.......................13
    3. 100km........................87km
    4. Long 10km.................11km
    5. 100% Morning runs...9/13
So it is possible to be a runner and not annoy all of your friends about it!

Honestly, that's part of why I'm here - so that I can talk about running with people who care :) My real-life friends have to ask, "are you still running?" but they don't exactly want details, and they'd also think I'm crazy if I told them.

    ^^^^^110% this

I tried to talk myself out of the run this morning. I got up & got dressed right away for it. Still thinking "eh". Walked my dog & realized , "Damn, it's cold! You don't HAVE to run, you have homework to do instead. Na, you can go to the Y...hell, you are already dressed, you have run in falling snow before, just DO IT!" So I did. Week 1 done!
    Way to go!!!!

@Scott6255 Sorry for your injury and that you aren't going to get to run your marathon in December. Hoping it continues to improve. Good to you for listening to your body.

@Camaramandy648 You're a better woman that I. I would have stayed in bed or on the couch, close to the bathroom.

@shanaber Sorry your knee started hurting and you had to walk the end of your race. Hope it is doing better.

@mbaker566 Great job on your race. The hot chocolate sounds like a great cold post-race reward.

Great race @katharmonic and Woot, Woot for conquering the rope climb! Here's a virtual High Five!!!

@shanaber Sounds like a VERY unorganized race, made worse by your injury! I do hope it is better. At least they had decent bling.
