Thank you every one

Jackie - this will be the third time I've seen it. The first time I saw it, even tho I knew what was coming (someone loaned me the CD), I still had tears running down my cheeks from laughing so hard. The second time I saw it I asked a friend to go with me. Honestly, I think she went more to be nice than anything else. When it was over, she said to me "OMG, I laughed so hard I almost peed in my pants".
If you have the chance to go see it -- go!! But be forewarned -- go to the bathroom before seeing it!
This time I'm going to see a community theater putting it on. Should be interesting.
I'm looking forward to it.5 -
Happy Thursday night from snowy Ohio,
Margaret- thank you for the suggestions. The pull of chocolate is real!!!!! I had raspberries and some granola tonight for dessert. My doctor said honey was okay. I am trying to stay the course. Bloodwork came back negative for RA, so that is good. The scary thing is my white blood count went from 5.5 in 2017, to 5 in 2018, to 4.5 this past August and is down to 4. I have sent her a message to figure out next step. My iron levels are good.
Minor blow up at work between my husband and my son in law. My son in law actually left work early. Some days I feel like I am wrangling 2 yr olds! Don't piss off my son in law! He is the healthiest among us and honestly does everything I ask of him. I don't ask if I can do it myself. SMH! Winter and SLOW are awful for the temper tantrums. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
Better get some sleep. Hugs to all! I am trying to take care of this body.

n an effort to get a bit more exercise, 3 of us at work are doing the February 500. Walking 500 flights of 20 steps in February!!
End of Week 1 and I'm at 143 flights. That's 2860 individual stairs ... plus landings every 10 stairs.
My legs are tired. I tried to break into a run crossing a road just now and my legs just laughed!! But I'm sure they'll get used to it.

Journey home yesterday turned into a farce!
There was a call out for a doctor or nurse to help someone in the last carriage. We stopped at a station for quite a while so an ambulance called be fetched. Then, when we tried to start again the emergency handle had locked the brakes! Grrr! Alarms, thumps, doors going back and forwards, etc etc. Eventually we got going and had to dump people af the next station so the train could go non stop to Hove. Chaos! I'm afraid that I couldn't resist taking a taxi home from Hove station instead of waiting in the cold for a bus.
DH's back is bothering him again. It was getting slightly better. I hope he will pursue some investigation. I make loving suggestions.

TGIF! Okay, I still work Saturday, but this has been a long week of grumpy people and no motivation.
Machka- The only stairs I have are at my doctors office. That is 3 flights and my legs burn. I can only imagine as many as you are doing. My youngest daughter tries to take the stairs as much as possible at the hospital. Her lowest flight days have been in the low teens. Max flights so far is 26. I am impressed by you both!
We have 1/2" of snow and from the news coverage you would think we are in a blizzard. We live in Ohio not Geogia. We tend to get snow at some point every year. Slow down. Allow more commute time. Put your d!@* phone away. Be aware. I really think the news is on way too long and runs out of things to report on so just makes big deals out of little things.
I have two of my grands Saturday night. I am excited. I do have to take grandson north to sing the National anthem before a basketball game. Probably will have to go take care of the dogs. But I get to spend time with kiddos.
I sound like I got up on the wrong side of the bed. I really didn't! I am going to turn off tv in our room since husband went to man cave and try to get my day started.
Stay safe in your journeys today!

HeatherUK- HUGS! That sounds like a mess. I don't blame you for taking a taxi!1

Just a quick post, I'm late going over to mums to see how she's getting on this morning. DS been very busy with the flooring, but boy does he leave a mess behind! It's almost finished, he only needs to put the skirting board on in the hallway and the base boards in the kitchen, trouble is, he'll need to shave a few inches off as it was fitted on the concrete floor. It is starting to look good, there's a few more things needed to complete the kitchen, but we are getting there.
He's taken a day off today to go and visit his Auntie and cousins, they are all still devastated over their dogs sudden death, (and the cancer worry of course) I'm hoping to go visit them next week.
I had a fall yesterday, well it wasn't really a fall, my feet got caught up in the cords of a blind that we had put at the side of the garage to throw out. I was walking into the garden to shake the dust cloths and next minute I'm falling into the recycling bin OUCH! I scrubbed my knee and my arm went half into the bin catching me under the armpit. I'm a bit sore today.
I'm a bit behind, I'll try and catch up later, but hugs to those that need them.
Love to all

Thanks!
If you build up to it, it's not too bad. And right now I'm going quite slowly ... later I'll start building up speed.
Going down the stairs gets my calves!! Today they aren't too bad so I'm getting through the DOMS.
I've got a long weekend now ... 3 days off ... and I won't climb stairs in that time which will give my legs a chance to rebuild and get stronger.
It burns quite a few calories, so in combination with the walking I've done, I've been trending downward in weight this week ... just a little bit but a little bit is better than nothing.

The funny thing about the train was that I was sitting directly behind the driver's cab so I could hear everything he was saying on the phone and all the thumps and bangs as he was trying to release the brakes. His announcements were rather calmer than he was feeling! I did my good deed for the day by helping an old lady who couldn't hear the announcements and couldn't understand why she had to get out of the train to catch the one behind. I managed to explain it to her! She thanked me profusely.
Hope to run after lunch.
We have three floors in this house and my bathroom is on the top floor. I regularly go up two flights. So in a day I normally climb maybe 12 flights or more. We have other toilets, but I like my own best.
I've just booked one of my favourite restaurants for my trip to London with my friend on the 20th. We are going to the Picasso exhibition at the RA, as I am now a member, and this restaurant, The Wolseley, is just opposite. It is an old car showroom and is all art deco in style. The food is fine, but the decor is magnificent. Joy!

Marianne- So glad you got good news at the doc!
Michele- I went and saw Menopause the Musical quite a few years ago; LOVED IT!
Heather- Wow! Quite the adventure on the train! Don't blame you for taking the taxi from the station. Would have worn me out!
Viv- Oooouch! Sorry about your fall! I know that feeling (of kind of catching yourself; but not really) and the feeling of being beaten the next day. Hope the aches go away soon!
Barbara- Another Joaquin and Miguel pic.
Karen VA- I remember when Olivia was born, as I was waiting anxiously for Joaquin to arrive. She has such a sweet face! Those eyes! Three years went by so fast!
Doing the Friday dance! Kids arriving soon. Hugs to all! ttfn xoxoxo KJ (Kelly)

The interior of the Wolseley. Just adore those chandeliers.

VivUK- Ice on those bang ups may help. That falling feeling sucks! Hoping to see pictures when flooring done.
HeatherUK- I bet she was appreciative! Scary when you can't figure out what is going on and changing of routine. The Wolsely looks opulent! I think that is the right word. I have been using some big ones lately-hehe!

Kylia - strangely enough, because it's a brasserie, you can have something light and inexpensive there. I've been there for breakfast and a very light lunch and not spent a lot of money. I'm just a sucker for decor!

Heather ~ You are quite the adventurer! I could not imagine having the courage to catch trains and buses.
I am leaving the house for the first time in a week today to meet two old friends for lunch. I am still having fits of tears over my Pom! My DH and I have both dreamed about him.

That's how I've gotten around much of my life ... public transportation, cycling & walking.
I have had to drive at times, but I've also gone fairly lengthy periods of my life with no motor vehicle ... years!
When we go to Europe (including the UK) we don't bother renting a car because the trains are good enough for what we want. We've got our bicycles with us so we cycle a bit, maybe a day, maybe a few days in a row, then we hop on a train to take us wherever is next, then cycle a bit more, etc.
I've had my share of sprinting for the bicycle car and practically throwing the bicycles and bags and everything in before the train pulls out ... I fell out of a train in Switzerland that way when the train lurched and everything shifted on top of me and I slid down the stairs head first. The train guard on the platform gave me a shove so that the door would close and off we went! My husband and several passengers had to untangle me and get me upright again! I can laugh about it now!
We've also changed plans because the train stopped somewhere and wasn't going on because of an emergency further up the track ... hop out with the bicycles and start riding. Heather's stories bring back memories of train/bicycle travel there.
Now I usually end up driving at least one day on the weekend ... but all week, I take buses and walk to get places.
It's what you get used to.

Thanks for the hugs and advice from all. I took yesterday for myself, but didn’t stress eat. Worked on my laptop in front of the fireplace.
Although I realized we had all the ingredients to make s’mores, I just toasted one marshmallow. Perfect!6
