02/17 - 143 - I'm happy to see this number two days in a row. I may see a bump from the weekend tomorrow, but this is a nice trend.
02/18 - 144.5 - Ouch! Not only did the weekend catch up with me, a wonderful old friend dropped her tax info. off at my office and brought me 4 dozen butterscotch chocolate chip cookies. I shared with the office, but I had several myself. The rest are now packed safely away in my freezer. Water and calorie tracking the rest of the week.
02/19 - 144 - Slowly inching down. More water and more tracking today.

02/17 240.4, blood sugar 127. Looking at yesterday's food diary, I have no clear idea why my weight jumped up, but the previous day it fell 2 pounds for no reason so I am going to chalk this up to scale error and keep moving forward.

02/18 238.4, 118. My scale is acting like a random number generator lately. That, or I am seriously bouncing back and forth on fluid and sodium. Two pounds is a quart of water!

02/19 236.2 pounds, blood sugar 142. I will not get too excited, the random number generator is apparently setting me up for a bad bounce here shortly. With insulin on board I simply do not lose weight this quickly, and I even ate baked spaghetti last night (hence the blood sugar number.) I did go out for a short walk during lunch yesterday (only about one mile, work is a panic right now) but that doesn't account for more than 100 calories or so. Still, I am not going to complain about seeing a lower number!

02/20 237.0, blood sugar 89. If I wasn't overly excited about the scale saying 4 pounds less in two days, I can't get upset that it now adds almost a pound. I am still down for the challenge. I just need to do the work to STAY down. This will be a long day of meetings and by the time I get off there will be snow on the ground, so probably no walking today.

First time doing this! Aiming to get 4+ days in the 75-76kg zone

02/17 - 77.9kg - Yesterday's body pump class is todays "ow my everything hurts". did some light yoga to try to stretch it out.

02/18 - 77.1kg - Today was supposed to be an IF day (5/2), but after a stressful day at work I inhaled a block of cheese and chutney and then devolved into chocolate. Expecting the scales to reflect this tomorrow....

02/19 - 76.4kg - everything hurts from body pump still, and I'm really surprised by the scales this morning given yesterday wound up being a 1500 calorie day! Went to a dance class for 2 hours and learnt some basic break dance moves which was pretty sick.

02/20 - 76.4kg - happy to be maintaining on the weight, but now thinking that the weight loss may be because of muscles I overworked in body pump as my fat % has been increasing. today is another IF day, so hopefully tomorrow will be a better BF%.

2/17 166.4lbs, 36.1%bf; 8h11m/92 - back at it! Had a good workout and feel so much better. Still have a kidney stone that will have to pass at some point, but I feel so much better now that I'm off all the meds.
2/18 163.0lbs, 35.2%bf; 7h4m/79 - didn't expect that kind of drop, but I will take it. Basically back to where I was when my kidney went up.
2/19 163.6lbs, 35.4%bf; 6h25m/80 - considering the DOMS and my usual habit of bouncing back up after a drop, this is not unexpected.
2/20 162.2lbs, 35.0%bf; 6h57m/81 - good workout yesterday, and kept my eating in line. Not sure why I am waking up in the middle of the night, tho... awake for an hour or more, then don't want to get up with the alarm.

02/20 - 146.2 - Bouncy, bouncy. The food truck was here yesterday -- they've been broken down and unable to come out for several months. Its a local classic so getting a burger was a MUST before I leave (never had one before). Drank a TON of water yesterday. Went over my goal, just didn't drink a lot the couple hours before bed. Super thirsty this morning so more chugging away! Yesterday I didn't have coffee and instead drank my ginger lemon tea. I think I might do that today. Seems to be helping (even if its just mentally) with feeling super bloated (and boy do I today despite 3 cups of the stuff yesterday!) Hit all my Wellness Challenge goals except fruit/veg. I had a cup of juice after blood donation (100% pure and 6oz qualifies as a serving). Other than that, I fell off. Tonight, since I'll be home and not running around like crazy, I'll try to make some of my frozen veggies so they're easier access when I'm being lazy. They need to get eaten in the next 3 weeks anyway...

02/17 - The downward trend from last round continues after resuming full meals. I'll take this slower, but healthier, downward movement very happily. I'm coming down to the last 7-8lbs and I know I have to be careful to lose fat, not muscle. Only workout I did this weekend was cleaning/packing/organizing so not much at all. Depending on how my days go, I'll try to get in the little gym here at work (though timing will be hard as maintenance works the same hours and its always crowded before/after work. Maybe an alternate lunch time to everyone else?)
02/18 - Had a late dinner as I was out running errands with my neighbor lady. Other neighbor made a pot roast and it was a little high in sodium due to the tenderizing method he used. Traveling to KCMO today for work so water will probably not be the greatest but I will do my best. Not very many options to stop to go between KCMO and home so I have to time it right. Will catch up on posts tonight or tomorrow morning!
02/19 - I chuuuuugged water last night to try to get a little closer to water goals. I didn't have much at all (maybe 25-30oz total). Today I'm back at my normal work location and I have to give blood at 10. Hopefully my iron is okay. I had steak last night but I'll have to break my fast early and have some thing here in a short bit to be sure I'm good to go. Anyway, water is going to be super important today between dehydration yesterday and giving blood today. I drank some ginger-lemon tea and added some cinnamon to help with the bloat. I'm going to try to do this more often as it really helped this morning. I FEEL a little bloated, but I don't look it so much which was a boost I needed this morning. Yesterday's lunch was really heavy on me and left me feeling and looking super bloated. Work has a new wellness challenge for the next 4 weeks that started Monday. 1 point for each accomplishment: 5 servings fruit/veg, 7+hours sleep, 20+ min exercise, 10+ min relaxation. Anybody who has 20+ points at the end of the week (submit info Monday) is entered to win a fitbit (2 people drawn per week). So I had double side salad and double fruit salad with lunch on top of the chicken. It was a lot of food for one sitting but I know the fruit and salad weren't high in cals, the chicken was (Chik-fil-a strips, no sauce) and a cookie, of course. No self control there... Then last night my steak was with a side of grilled mini sweet peppers. I'm going for 3-4 servings veg and 1-2 servings fruit if I can. Don't know how I'll manage today... Don't have too many options to bring to work and don't want to go grocery shopping when I have so much food to eat or give away before moving. Did double yoga - easy YWA one for back pain last night I consider "relaxation" and another YWA for "Yoga Belly" which was a little more intense and got my heart rate up as "exercise"

@musicsax Its putting me at bigger risk, I think. HR said if I put my notice in no earlier than the 3rd and I still am actively employed the 13th (vacation) then I'll get the bonus. The concern is, I'll work the week I put notice in, go on vacation, and plan to come back and work my final week. However, it leaves the company open to tell me not to come back after vacation. If that's the case - I'm not getting paid for my vacation time off and I'm not getting the bonus, leaving me 3 weeks of no pay (which I cannot afford unless tomorrow I find out my tax return can cover the bills). Not so worried about the bonus (would be nice, though), only worried about the time off and regular paycheck. I'm already making things tight by taking 1 week off between jobs to allow time to move and settle in. Luckily BF should be getting his tax return any day and his boss told him his bonus should be coming the 13th. Every little bit will help, especially if I end up with a 3 week gap. It will work out, Big Man Upstairs hasn't failed me yet (despite me thinking so at times...)

It's pizza night with friends and I was feeling sorry for myself because my back will not just get out of it's funk and on top of that my 27 year old sewing machine was acting up and my husband and I spent all morning trying to figure it out but declared it needs a time out and I ordered a new one, so I needed a bowl of ice cream.

02/19 161.4 lbs 1000 calories, 15,200 steps No idea for the gain, back right now, hurts to sit. Breaking down and going to the doctor today. Not happy about having more medical bills. But on the up side my new sewing machine should be here on Friday!

02/20 161.0 lbs 1350 calories, 10,000 steps. I had to take pills when I got home from the doctor with food and ice cream seemed the thing for this pity party. I was hoping to get an MRI but doctor wants to start with Physical Therapy and exercises. I have tried most everything a PT can do and for me this is just a waste of money. I was doing back exercises as my workout routine right up to two weeks ago when this all started. I am so sorry, I sound so negative, just tired of this pain and lack of being able to do what I need to do. I usually IF for 16 hours but now I have to take pills with food in the morning so that is off for a few days.

02/17: 182.4 (I saved all my calories for a party, but I didn’t end up going since I had a lot of stuff to do around the house. So instead, I ate those calories at home! I knew this would happen so I’m not too worried about it. I did a Zumba workout at home yesterday!)

02/18: 181.2 (I had the day off from work yesterday because of the holiday! I cleaned my house and had to get a plumber in to fix my drain in the tub. Other than that I had a normal day! I ate to plan and did my Zumba class at the gym!)

@quiltingjaine I wasn’t aware that could be an issue, so thank you for the warning. I don’t know if I’m insulin resistant, but it drives me crazy when I can’t figure out which change may be causing me hunger issues. It’s why I try to do minor changes every so often, versus big changes all at once. I’ll be sure to watch my hunger levels and readjust the fruits first if I have an issue.

2/19 – 257.8 I honestly don’t know and it’s a little frustrating. I’m just going to stay on track and hope for the best. Though I am considering getting into a fitness routine verses the whatever, whenever I’ve been doing for a while. I’m also considering a new meal plan, if I can get my diary to work to see how the calories work out. It’s not too different from what I do now, but adds in more fruits and vegetables, the later of which is often lacking for me.

2/20 – 257.4 After arriving late last month tom has decided to arrive early this month. At least I finally know what’s been causing the stall. At least I hope that’s it. As tom progresses and goes I hope to see new lows.

17-Feb 192 Family Day, it was really nice out but I didn't do anything.

18-Feb 194.4 Just slept and watched tv. I justed wanted to eat anything and everything, especially junk

19-Feb 194.4 I think my cold/pneumonia has finally broke! Yeah. Not! My boss called and told me to take another day off, wanted me to take to the end of the week but I want to go back to work. Made a nice Vegan Chickpea Fritatta for supper, it was good but need something. Good part this week is I am getting my water in. Yeah me! I haven't hit the gym yet and my steps are nowhere near my 10k, or higher. I remember when I worked in retail and I'd hit 10 k but 11 or noon. Ughh Oh well, I like what I am doing now.

02/18 108.2, BF 25.6% Up 0.4 from Friday, so actually pretty good given eating out over the long weekend and a couple of rest days thrown in! Back to gym today for weights and cycle later.

02/19 107.0, BF 25.2% Yeah headed back down below 108 and below last recorded weight from last round - probably lots of water as cycle studio had no AC yesterday evening and sweated bullets it was so hot! Even the walls were sweating from the humidity from everyone’s perspiration! Calories were good - even had room for dark chocolate :-)


02/20 107.0, BF 25.2% Yes!!! No gain is a win!!! (ate back some exercise calories yesterday + sodium so nice to hold steady). Today is strength day (am) and then cardio in evening assuming that the forecast snow does not lead to the uni gym closing early ! the university is the last to close in the event of inclement weather as students are primarily on campus and as long as there is no freezing rain/sleet should be OK to drive/walk. Happy Scale thinks it will be 9 weeks for the next 2 pounds. OK with that if that is accompanied by loss of body fat! NSV: Have lost another half inch in waist and an inch in chest (below breasts). No change in hips, but lost more fat there earlier - Waist, belly below belly button, and thighs are all areas where I am still holding on to fat. While I can’t spot reduce fat, I can target muscle growth so working on core is one way to improve the appearance of abs/belly. Vertical anti-rotation shoulder press with the cable machine (and other cable exercises) have been great for strengthening abs/obliques and filling out muscle underneath the loose stomach skin as fat decreases (without doing a million crunches)!

02/17 …..194.8 ….. Travel today. Yesterday I tweaked my goals on MFP to better reflect what I am trying to do at this point. I cleaned tourist cabins. I walked for 31 minutes. I also did a dance session with my son (yay Johnny!) for 27 minutes. Sample song “smooth” by Carlos Santana. My eating was reasonable until night time during TV when I began snacking when I wasn’t even hungry. Not good. I am still a work in progress. Travel today will be a brick wall but it’s a new round. 02/18 …..196.1 ….. After travel & disgusted. I have already thrown out my leftover box without even opening it. Back to basics. Thanks tia birdie (Tish) for the help.

02/19 …..196.0 ….. I’ve been locked out of MFP all day. So frustrating! Yesterday my diet went better. Exercise was good with over 20,000 steps. I burned 850 extra calories through deliberate planning & movement. IF 14:10. However, I only slept 3.5 hours and woke up so tired. I am studying my past logging and journaling to help assist going forward.

02/20 …..195.4 ….. A very good day yesterday. I had my carbs at 8 net carbs late last night when I began to experience a slo-mo sugar drop. Because it wasn’t quick, I was able to keep it under control by adding more carbs. I brought the Calories to 1203 and the carbs to 32 Net Carbs and felt much better within minutes. Calories Out: 2581. 15,367 Total Steps & 6.5 Miles. I slept 5 hours & 36 minutes and felt refreshed. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. IF 14:8. I walked at the school for 85 minutes burning 551 calories. I had my grandsons over after school for a “breakfast for dinner”. I made thick slabs of French Toast and maple sausage patties. I was strong and had an omelet with some of the sausage for my own dinner. I had a very very hard time eating the omelet. I am so sick of eggs that it was gagging me but I stayed strong because I hadn’t planned anything else. I was repaid for my persistence by a very kind bathroom scale. @CamandJarvis Get that bonus! 69 years old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion... ...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.

We used to walk 5 miles a day. A pinched nerve and back surgery side-lined me for about a year. Then I had back surgery. Now I'm waiting to get my hip fixed. Hip Doc said surgery in April. Ugh! I can't do any walking or biking...both kill me. I see my personal trainer three times a week. She is taking it very slow and easy with me.

I have March 10th as my hip surgery date...much better than April!
