I started my day very early and have been getting a lot of things done around the house.
I'm most grateful for my courtyard. It provides exercise, beauty, a private space, a meditation spot, and entertainment area, and so much more. Pictures are the results of the time I spent out there today.

Joseph and the amazing technicolor dream coat was awesome! It is funny that I know the entire soundtrack, but had never seen the musical. My brother, sister, and I use to put on our own musicals for our parents and friends to the album. Those are great memories. We performed a lot. Song and dance. I reckon that was because the tv wasnt the center of our home. I remember saturday morning cartoons and sunday night Disney. Once a week we each got to choose a show to watch. Mine was Sonny and Cher. Memories. Next week on YouTube it is Jesus Christ Superstar . Another favorite. I have seen several versions of it. Again another "showstopper " doe my siblings and I. I own "Cats" and have seen on stage 7 times at different venues. I guess you could say I am an Andrew Lloyd Webber fan.

We can only get them if we contact our GPs and they determine they are necessary.
This is interesting ... might be worth further research if you're making your own masks.

That's what we have been told all along, too . . . until two or three days ago. Now they want us all to wear something, even if it's just cloth. Well, except dear leader, of course. He's too cool for that.
We haven't started wearing them yet, but that's only because we haven't made them yet.

Hello everyone.
Oh, how I love Sundays. Even when I awaken at 2:30 am!
There are so many things to be grateful for today and all days. If I were to sit and begin listing them it would probably take me the better part of the day.- I am grateful for another healthy day of life.
- I am grateful I live in South Florida. The weather is sunny most of the time and I am able to go out and enjoy nature year round.
- I am grateful for my home. It provides a sense of security.
- I am grateful I foresaw my favorite nursery would be considered non-essential to gen pop. It allowed me to put in a summer garden which will be thoroughly enjoyed during the coming weeks and is good for my mental health.

It's a lovely sunny day, so might get out to do some gardening this morning. I have some bulbs to plant, not sure if I have left it too late though, but at least they will come up next year (I hope) I don't really have green fingers (more black - nearly everything I plant dies ) The grass could do with a trim, and the hedge at the front needs a bit of a tidy. I can't say I don't have time now can I
My weight has been more or less the same, I thought since I started exercising daily that it would have gone down a bit, but then I remember the birthday treats I've eaten and I'm just glad I haven't put on weight ! Need to get a grip now and be sensible.
Time to move, been on the PC too long already, hope you all have a wonderful day.

Slow start to the month ... and no stairs!! I have a flight of 7 steps in the garden, so I guess if I wanted to, I could climb up and down and up and down those. A flight of stairs is 20 steps, so I could do those 7 steps 20 times to arrive at 7 flights. I have done that in the past, so I might do it again this month.

Luci - I do have to echo Okie and say that if I were in your position I would not be seeing any of your family including the baby. You and your husband are in the high risk category and should not be mingling with anyone else. I am not seeing my grandchildren and I am very healthy. Said with love.
Fabulous day, but I am staying indoors as per the government advice. I don't like being outside much anyway, unless I am walking or running. I am definitely an indoors kind of girl. DH will probably go in the garden. I will continue my rowing and watching a series online. I'm really enjoying it, so the exercise is a treat.
I hope to trim DH's hair with our new clippers, so we might do that outside. I've never done it before.
For my own hair, I had a trim just before the lockdown and I have one carton of hair dye left, so I will be doing that before long. I have an Amazon order in for another, but they are out of stock.
Might try to ring a friend.
I've not had a credit card bill this month, so it might have gone astray. I'm going to check my balance on the phone. I know I have a big bill for the cruise excursions, which I will get back eventually, but I always pay the whole balance every month. I will then be in credit and have to claim it back.

I was unable to check in until later on in the evening yesterday. To my amazement we had almost 80 new posts!
I am starting to get in to the rhythm of our new normal which I attribute to sticking to my routine and embracing this time to recharge and reevaluate the things most dear to me. My home has always been my refuge. The time I have been spending on the little projects is really beginning to show. I see many more projects getting done and am looking forward to the results.
Evelyn – Love the cross-stitch. Such a beautiful keepsake.
Viv – Sending positive thoughts your DS is on the mend and hope he is on the mend.
Karen – Lilly is simply adorable. What a happy little one. Love Sonja’s quote. I have been setting my intentions first thing in the morning and find it has had a positive effect upon my happiness.
Penny – Although I am not cut out for a life in the cold I love the starkness and the beauty of your surroundings. The flat bread looks delicious.
Heather – Spinach and feta is one of my favorite combinations.
Machka – Lovely apples. I love the silhouette of dear kitty. I will usually nap on the weekends if I have had very little sleep. During the week I just push through. After one or two nights I have an extremely restful sleep by day three.
Barbie – Like you I am waiting to go shopping every two weeks or so. I have been keeping a running list of the things I need. The last one was over 40 items long! I plan all of my stops according to when the stores open. I have found once I go out it takes a day or two to stop thinking about going out.
Katla – I simply find it baffling DD’s boss would want her to come in to the office. It seems people are still not getting it or having a hard time accepting and adapting to what is going on right now. I am glad she is putting her foot down and staying home.
Luci – Glad to hear DH’s clot is under control and he is able to take care of it at home. I had a chuckle over the bank meme. It has been a running thought through my head – how uncomfortable it must be for anyone working where there is an exchange of money. I think it’s in both you and your DH’s best interest not to babysit until the test results are in. There is no reason to put yourself at risk.
Bananas – It must have been very alarming seeing soldiers with machine guns. What is wrong with people! Terrorist threats?! We never know what is going on in someone else’s head. Sorry about your experience with the sweet shop lady. It sounds like the rest of your outing was pleasant and the people you came across were positive and helpful. I am not lowering my calories because I am keeping my activity level the same.
Rebecca – Love the pictures of your meals. Everything looks delicious.
Tracey – Sometimes we just have to shut people down with their opinions or choose not to respond. I think there are those who like to make people feel bad. They are the same ones who feel bad about themselves and instead of looking inward and fixing themselves lash outward.
Michelle – Glad to hear you’re sanitizing your purse and cell phone. I am no longer carrying a purse on my outings. My IDs, debit card, and medical cards are in a Ziploc bag. My keys are attached to my belt loop. On the other belt loop is my hand sanitizer. I keep my phone in my pants pocket and do not touch it until my hands are sanitized. When I get home everything in the Ziploc is sanitized and the bag is tossed. I know not very “green” and I hate doing it because I feel it’s wasteful but since I am only going out every 8-14 days it is not that bad. Hopefully you are sanitizing everything in your purse too because your hands are going in and out of it during every trip.
Terri – Isn’t amazing how much TP we can conserve! I feel greener every day – LOL.
Kylia – I love the butterfly puzzle! Maybe one day I will get in to puzzles. I start them and never finish them. My sit time is usually filled with reading. Love your views.
Ginny – Glad to hear you are adapting to remote work. The extra time is wonderful isn’t it!
Cheri – Love your face masks. I do not have a sewing machine, but was considering sewing one by hand. It’s not like I do not have the time for it!
Those missing their massage therapists. Oh, there is nothing like a good massage. Especially if done by a Reiki healer. For those needing to loosen tight spots using a tennis ball between your back and a wall really helps loosen some of those tight spots.
For those of you who are paired please take this time to remember those first days when you met your partner. Remember the excitement during the early days when you would go out on a date and the anticipation you would feel. Those first tentative kisses and touches and how good it felt to be in love. I cannot tell you how many times I have wished Charlie was here with me during this time. The laughs we would share and the security we would provide to each other. All of our relationships are filled with variations of who we have to be for the other. The range is great from friend to counselor to healthcare provider to lover and so many more. Through all of these ranges we must remember our partners did not marry or join with us because they needed a mother or a father. They wanted a partner who would share their lives and grow in to one. I am so very happy for the memories I have of my life with Charlie. They were not always easy days but I was so very fortunate to have found someone who allowed me to grow while we grew together as a couple.
The sun should be up shortly. I am looking forward to getting some additional work done out in the garden. I was going to attempt to make homemade bread this weekend but decided to hold off until we have a rainy weekend. I would rather be outside enjoying the sun and fresh air.

HEATHER need help, sorry I know I’ll sound like a wimp but having to do my own hair is so stressful I managed to wash and set it but roots are horrendous. I haven’t coloured my own hair for years and have no idea what to use. Don’t think I can bear to let it go au natural. Any suggestions asto best products

I have a bit of a sinus thing going on,im guessing dry air.. today will be cloudy and a few showers... so will do a bit more laundry and watch Joanna Gaines cooking show at noon.. maybe make dinner to deliver to my friends

Allie - You got approved for unemployment even though you quit? At least you know you have some funds coming in even though they are running behind. That's great news for you! Congrats! Do you also get the extra $600 a week from the Aid package that was passed?

I colour my own hair all the time. I've been doing it since I was about 16 and have never gone to a salon to have my hair coloured.
I usually go with whatever's inexpensive in Clairol or Revlon or L'Oreal or Garnier.
Tried Napro Palette ... didn't like it.
Because my hair is so long, I divide my hair in two and colour the under layer a dark colour ... then colour the upper layer a lighter colour.
