It doesnโt feel good for my body. 5 years ago, my steady normal was 130-135. The past 2 years I have really stayed around 150-155. Looking to just make a start today and hopefully sharing with you all will help me on my path.

Thank you @GrandmaJackie
I live in the UK - aged 48 - with hubby and two daughters age 12 and 17 - other 4 (step) kids all grown up and left home and we also have 6 grandkids (aged between 1 and 7). Came back to this in round 110
R110 - Start weight 155.0lb End weight 152.3lb Round Loss 2.7lb
R111 - Start weight 152.3lb End Weight 146.8lb Round loss 5.5lb
Round goal - keep tracking, keep losing and get out for my 10k steps walk in the evenings (working from home at the minute so desk bound most of the day) and keep active at the weekends with doing stuff round the house. Had a big loss last round - so hoping to stabilise a bit this round and finish in the 145's so a loss of around 1.5lb would be good
04/27 - 148.4lb (+1.6lb) Yesterday's weight was a very unexpected loss showing a loss on 1.8lb which came out of nowhere. I also had a full on day yesterday with a lot of heavy gardening, a "Bring Your Parent to Cheer" hour long Zoom training session and a Sunday roast with homemade by my daughters apple crumble (albeit it all within calories but still more food than I would normally eat in the evening!
Today's weigh in still means I've lost over the weekend so still happy
And wow was the cheer session tough! I was ok with the warm-up part as regularly have PT Sessions at the gym, but the stunting part was tough!!! As for tumble - I couldn't do a cartwheel at 15 so no chance at 50!!! Although did manage the forward rolls and a sort of handstand! :
And we were only doing level 1 stuff! My kids are level 4 and level 6 - those girls are strong!!!
04/28 - 146.9lb (-1.5lb) Back down again so maybe Sunday wasn't a fluke and I can blame yesterday on our lovely Sunday roast! Hubby likely to be home late tonight or tomorrow having been away for 5 weeks so we are likely to have date night when he gets home (with an M&S Dine in for two meal) but he's fed up with the food he's managed to get while away (no restaurants open obviously, so been living on take out deliveries and a very limited room service menu) and desperate for healthy colourful food and veggies so not a problem when he gets home to stick with what I'm doing.
Onwards and downwards towards 145
04/29 - 146.1lb (-0.8lb) Another day another drop - please let me find away to bottle up this motivation
I am very excited today - Hubby will be home later today after 5 weeks working away so its date night tonight (an M&S Dine in for Two for those in the UK!) - so I will be having cheese and biscuits for dessert and we will have a bottle of wine and I will enjoy every mouthful The rest of my day will be spot on though.
I know the scale will be up tomorrow morning as a result but I'll know why, I'll take it and I will be back on track first thing tomorrow.
Have a great Wednesday everyone - I know I will!
04/30 - 148.7lb (+2.6lb) 2.6lb of cheese to be honest no hugs needed! A lovely evening catching up with hubby - very chilled and worth every part of the 2.6lb But I'm strictly back to it today so should see this disappear again in the next day or two

@fmfdfa2020 This wasnโt our first experience at WM just the first bad one. What PUNK threatens an elderly man with kicking his *kitten*??? I had great experiences using pick up last summer in Oklahoma while taking care of our daughter and my husband has previously picked up at this location with no problem but that was before the mandatory mask policy. ๐คทโโ๏ธ4

@maryhope1987 Patience, building muscle can result in water retention which WILL eventually go away. A pound is a pound but fat takes up more space than muscle. Take measurements.4

@lycheepoptarts Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow. . . Wait for it1

4/27 119.5 Very surprised because I made a rotisserie chicken yesterday and ate most of the super salty skin. YUM!
4/28 120.5 No problem still well below goal. Six weeks since the governor closed everything
4/29 120.5 Apparently I got caught up in life yesterday and didnโt read the board. Bad experience at Walmart grocery pick up. Girl refused to put on mask, young man (employee) said he was going to โkick your *kitten*โ to my husband who was outraged by the girls attitude. Today we are supposed to have a record breaking high for April, 102 degrees!
4/30 119.5 Well, I ate very strangely yesterday. A lot more veggies than usual and an adequate amount of protein. But when I got on the scale this morning it said 109.0 - I havenโt been that light since I was 4โ6โ in 5th grade! - I knew that was wrong. I got on 3 times and finally got a reasonable weight. May be time for a new battery! TWC app says we hit 100 in our area yesterday but the official temp fell short of the record. Another chance today - it was 82 at 7:30 this morning but itโs cloudy now.7 -
Goals for 2020 โ eat consciously and responsibly, exercise and meditate daily, get back to productive writing & painting, help people, be kind, learn new things, have fun.

04/27 - 349.0 - Maintained, and even dropped, the previous loss. Now solidly under 350. I haven't been this low since 2011. And I got in a pretty good kettlebell/TRXRip workout this morning.
04/28 - 349.7 - A little uptick after going over on my calories. I'm happy it stayed under 350, though.
04/29 - 348.5 - And the rollercoaster goes down again. The gradual downward trend continues. I did get in a good walk this morning, but weights will have to wait until this evening.
04/30 - 348.6 - Virtually no change. My avocados were still too hard/not ripe, so I made a bagel sandwich. Tastes great, but really WAY too many carb calories. While I'll prolly never by keto, I do know I have to keep may average carb intake to 200 g./ day. I did remember that during my highest weight loss drops, I was drinking water w/ sea salt before my morning walks/workouts. So, I started back with that this morning. I didn't realize how much more energetic I felt when having that drink to start my day. I've also added an electrolyte tab to it.

Day/Weight/Comment
04/26 โฆ..204.3โฆ.. ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND Weight was inflated due to travel & Chinese food the day before. Therefore, my hope is to lose a full 2 pounds (or more) this round to be at a 0.1 deficit (or more). If the travel yesterday caused suspected water weight, this, at minimum should be attainable.
04/27 โฆ..203.2 โฆ.. And there goes the water from the Chinese Food two days ago. Now, to work on the weight gain. Goal: 202.3 or less. I worked hard yesterday doing a mix-up of movement and exercise. Very sore knees over the past couple of days due to some of my exercise choices so Iโm keeping an eye on that. I pray today will be a strong day. It is Sunny & beautiful today with no rain expected until after 8:00 PM tonight so I plan on taking advantage of that. I will be traveling tomorrow for carpeting about 200 miles away each way. Carpet sales were prohibited until May 1st so Iโm getting my butt out there to get the 7 different pieces/sizes that I need. Good luck everyone on this round!
04/28 โฆ..203.1 โฆ.. Travel today. I expect the scale will be up tomorrow.
04/29 โฆ..208.4 โฆ.. Are you flipping kidding me????? Yes, I double-checked the scale several times. Travel yesterday consisted of no snacks, a light lunch and a small dinner I split into two portions (brought the other one home). High sodium Thai dinner with real rice (not cauliflower) so I know Iโm retaining some water but this is crazy! I did eat the other half of the dinner at about 1:00 AM (about 3 hours before I went to bed). Today is cold, very gloomy and depressing with lots of rain. I will be indoors all day but I will be walking my hallways, using my ski machine etc. Lots of Parsley tea for me today! It was a long trip and when we arrived I could not even bring home the carpet. They did not have enough of the color/style I chose so they have ordered it precut in my sizes (I need 6 pieces). So next week will be another trip. Better choices next time!
04/30 โฆ..207.9 โฆ.. I peed all night so the water is shedding from the travel food. Traveling 3 times in the past week has made my journey a little rough this past week, but moving forward and soldiering on. I am going to work on some cleaning projects today in my house so I will try to stay fairly active but sorting clothing and going through paperwork does not involve a lot of steps so I will try to fit in some sets of other things. Yesterday I managed to burn an extra 858 calories with exercise. It is cold and rainy again here so Iโll be staying inside.

Round 112 - April 27 to May 6
Female, 5โ, 67 years. SW โ 166.2 GW โ 165.5 or lower, UGW โ 140.
Goals: continue with 12 hr. IF, 5-6 glasses of water a day (I drink lots but it tends to be tea. I limit the black/green to 4 lg. mugs), complete my tracking every day and get some kind of outdoor exercise unless it is raining โ in which case indoors. Did not do well on the exercise the last couple of rounds and it shows โ a steady creep up.
Missed a lot of days last round โ have been getting morning phone calls from kids checking up on us and then get busy with my day. It is great to talk to them though especially when Iโm not talking much to anyone else.
Day/Weight/Comment
04/27 โ 166.2 โ Ate cheese in the evening so no IF. Went shopping Sat. and got some bulk gouda but also lots of fresh veggies so should be a good week. Yesterday didnโt really get any exercise either but planning to work outside today if the rain holds off.
04/28
04/29
04/30 โ 167.2 โ So our router decided to have a fit and we had no internet for a couple of days. Quite interesting actually. I found that mentally I went back to โbefore internetโ and carried on. I ate just as usual so have no idea why the sudden jump up. Iโve been working outside every day but itโs just clearing off perennial beds so not really all that much exercise.

04/29 - 126.3 Obviously the extra 100-200 cal over my cal goal on the 27th and then no sleep on the 28th didn't negatively affect my weightloss. I'm very happy about that. As long as I keep up a little bit of activity throughout the day, I should be able to include my nightly craving for extra sharp cheddar lol
04/30 - 126.3 I'm not too worried about the scale not moving. I ate popcorn last night and I use a grotesque amount of salt in mine lol As long as I drink lots of water today and continue as normal I'm sure the scale will drop tomorrow.

70 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion... ...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.

Starting weight is 242 as of 4/25. Goals for this ten day challenge: Walk at least 20 minutes every day, log food, avoid sugar and alcohol and the usual empty calories, take my meds every day on schedule, and drink my water. With those goals, my target weight for this cycle is 237.
Day/Weight/Comment
04/27 -- Forgot to weigh in. Not a great start! Goals: walk: yes, 1 hour; log food: yes, ate my exercise calories though; empty calories: some, but progress; meds: yes; water: yes 10 cups and counting.
04/28 -- Weight 242.0, no change. I'm not worried, with correct behavior the weight will come off in time. Goals - walk: yes, 80 minutes log food: yes, under calories; empty calories: limited; meds: yes; water: yes, 10 cups.
04/29 -- Weight 240.6, down 1.4; Goals - walk: yes, 60 minutes; log food: yes, 500 calories under once you add the exercise calories; empty calories: limited; meds: yes; water: yes, 9 cups and counting
04/30 -- Weight 239.8, down .8; Goals - walk: sort of, 30 minutes in a grocery store.... weather too crappy to walk outside; log food: yes, and if I estimated portions correctly on my chinese take out I stayed under target, but barely; empty calories: yes, moderate; meds: yes; water: yes, 8 cups so far. Today was a bit of a splurge, will get things back in complete order tomorrow. Will probably pay a price for the Chinese food, though.

Itโs scary to think about increased risk for getting sick with loosening restrictions. Mixed emotions. For some reason feeling encouraged today, though.
Yoga 30 min. Jazzercise 20 min. Diet was not good quality.

Looking forward:
I'm just too danged cussed to let this thing knock me back, and ruin all the effort I have put in to get here. I am stepping up my routine, and taking control. Sheltering in place means I can fully concentrate on getting in my exercise, and preparing healthy food.
- April: focus on maintaining and increasing my progress
- 2020: Goal is to stabilise weight around 145
- Strengthen strategies to reframe the tendency to use unhealthy snack food as a reward/treat.
- Make sure I have prepared healthy snacks available
- Cut down on eating between meals
Never give up! Never give in!
Back Story:2018 goal: get back down to 160 โ2020
2019 goal: proceed down to 150 โ with 2 months to spare
2020 goal: maintain below 150 dropping slowly down to 145 โ So far, so good.
That's a WIN in my book!
Focus: maintenance! I might even manage to lose a bit more ever so slowly.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.
