I finally did it!
I've been wanting a real camera for a long time. I thought I wanted a DSLR, and then I started researching and discovered that this one is not only great for pictures, but better than the DSLRs in its class for video. It's the Canon EOS M50 mirrorless.
I've had point-and-shoots before but never a bridge/mirrorless or DSLR. I have no idea how to use it yet but I can't wait to learn.
I've been pining after this camera since April when it went on sale. I didn't buy it then and shot myself in the foot when the price went back up. I've waited all this time for it to go back on sale for Black Friday.
I'm very proud of myself. This is a big win for me because I finally bit the bullet and told myself I deserve to have nice things!

So far, I've taken out the battery and charged it. 🙂 I haven't had time to play with it yet because I need a whole day to figure out the tech stuff like downloading and using the app so I can wirelessly download photos. Then I need to learn it by reading the manual and watching videos. I'll post my first photo in photography thread!
I won at a couple things today. Took care of adulting stuff like buying groceries, etc.
Found my sister a super cute Christmas gift. She lives in the cold so I'm getting her fleece-lined leggings in a Burgundy wine color, then I scoured Amazon to find a knit hat and gloves that match the color perfectly.
Got a sweet, uplifting message!
Today was a good day.

I did a 14 mile run in the rain.....and finished siding the house im working on....also in the rain. It was a sucky feeling all day, but the end result feeling of accomplishment was pretty great.5
