@rheddmobile a parrot in a stroller seems like it should be pretty high up on the list for "Top 10 Strangest Things Seen While Running"

ETA: That might make a good Monthly Question for everyone: What are the strangest things you've seen while running?

well, a parrot is pretty normal in the warm weather.
i saw a tegu while running...her name was gene
    not a picture from running

The big question is: Was Gene in a stroller? :)

you could take a picture with her for free but a donation was recommended. Her keeper had an alternative lifestyle

Today's run felt very very long for some reason. Probably because I was overdressed. Weather forecast has been yelling cold front all week. I went out and it was 2 degrees and sunny. Ah well, maybe tomorrow.

Strange things I've seen while running. A large white rabbit just chilling out, by itself, in a park. A dude walking eight Corgis at the same time.

@kgirlhart Sounds like good news. Hope you're back to running soon!
    @quilteryoyo Sending thoughts and hugs.
@Avidkeo Giving whisky a vote! Do you think we could risk sending to China?
@rheddmobile Hugs. Tendon injuries take forever to fix themselves. KT tape might help in the meantime?

I don't think there's an issue sending from NZ to China...

    Congratulations @Tramboman!

Sending more hugs and more prayers @quilteryoyo. It is so hard when our parents are sick and also hard of hearing.  I hope he is better soon. Well, I hope all three of you are.

I am planning to go for a run sometime later today.  It is pretty chilly now, but should be perfect later today and not windy.  It is supposed to be rainy and cooler tomorrow and windy. I am thinking if I have to stop running and walk today will be much nicer for walking today than tomorrow especially since what I would wear to walk would be warmer than what I would wear to run. So if I do end up walking I don't want to do it when it is cold and wet and windy.

I guess for now I better get some laundry done and do a little housework.

Anyone try RUNDERWEAR? I not even walking, but they have the occasional "inexpensive" bra.

    What up, peeps?

I am still broken (physically and emotionally) no running. Oh it's me Elise4270 I am shucking old a trying to begin anew after losing Alex. this is his old account when we'd track and run and work out together.

    Monthly question?
How much pie (or similar poor choice) have you eaten in the last 3 months?

The pie I've eaten in the last three months could best be measured in metric tons.
Things done in moderation (not that I do things in moderation) need not necessarily be poor choices.

Oh my gosh, Elise4270 @swenson19d! So good to see you pop up and say hello. I'm so sorry about everything you've gone through and I hope your new beginning will be positive and that you'll join us here. We've missed you and you're monthly questions.

I have eaten no pie, but I ate a whole pumpkin cheesecake by myself over the days around thanksgiving. And more chocolate than I want to admit to.

    Congratulations @polskagirl01 and @Tramboman on your 2020k in 2020!

@quilteryoyo sorry your dad had to be admitted. Glad he seems to be doing well on supplemental oxygen and that you got to talk to him. Continued thoughts with you and your parents.

Another pretty mild morning. Things are about the same with the hamstring. Better but still soreness there. I ran on soft trails around the lakes this morning, fairly slowly. Very calm and pretty at the lake today. Then went to a class at the gym - our closer location has reopened after the governor reversed the decision about gyms and salons in "orange zones" being high risk and having to close. I'm happy to shave off the extra drive time again.

    Family CoVID update:
Dad continued to have a hard time breathing all day. Mom called me at 10:45 last night to let me know he really couldn't breath and his oxygen levels were staying low. So, I went down there and called the VA triage nurse. She said he needed to be seen urgently and that it should be okay to take him to the local ER instead of driving all the way to the VA - 30 min vs an hour. So, that's what I did. They admitted him at 3:00 this morning. I called after I got up this morning to check on him and he is doing good on a fairly high dose of supplemental oxygen - as long as he is laying still. When he starts moving around, his levels go back down to 84%. (He was eating breakfast.) But, she said he wasn't struggling to breathe, so I still have my fingers crossed that he is going to be okay without major intervention. I tried to call his room, but bless his heart, he can't hear at all on the phone. He did call me and finally was able to sort of hear me. He was getting out of breath when talking, but sounded pretty good. It was really good to hear his voice.

Sounds like things are looking up.

Bruh, what's your favorite? I found the cheap walmart apple to be exceptional the next morning with hot tea/coffee

They're ALL my favorite. Never met a pie I didn't like. Have devoured a few pumpkin pies most recently.
Peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream goes down pretty well, too. It has crust and fruit so I consider it to be part of the pie family.

You don't eat mincemeat, do you? I'm thinking it must be better than the weird stuff I had as a kid. The cobblers are too sweet for me. I like it when it's more of a fruit pie than a sugar pie. Last year we has a triple beary oops, berry cobbler, beary is my cat, the cobbler was too sweet but sounded so good. We have pumpkin and cool whip that I am trying not to think about.

    Welcome back Elise4270 @swenson19d !
I haven't had a ton of pie. But I did make a batch of these pumpkin cheesecake muffins not long ago that were ridiculous. Fortunately, my family agreed and ate them too.
