It's the only place on earth where the saguaro cactus grows. 🌵Also, 300+ days of sunshine and in the summer it feels like you're sticking your head in an oven that's set to 450° 😂

Evidently, I live about an hour or so south of MaltedTea. :)
Only land-locked state in New England but we've got beautiful lakes for fishing, mountains for skiing(which'd be great if I skied) and hiking, lots of covered bridges and stone walls. Home of Ben and Jerry's Ice cream, Cabot cheese, THE best(ok maybe 2nd best) maple syrup in the world :) and the fall colors don't get any prettier than here. Ben Affleck and Adam Sandler both attended UVM but dropped out.

So as not to scare everyone with the thought of Australian killer snakes and spiders we also do have a lot of unique and cute wildlife that won't try to kill you. Koalas, wallabies, kangaroos, echidna, wombats, Tasmanian devils.. the list goes on.

If there's a tiny chance of snow we cancel everything. 1 year they decided to play the odds ...and snowmaggedon happened 😬 many people slept in gas stations or convenice stores over night.

Lol - it’s the same here - word of snow and everyone hits the Walmart’s to get all
The necessities just in case that in or two snows them in 😂

I live in Tornado Alley. Severe weather is absolutely a way of life here. My daughter and I will stand outside photographing storms instead of hiding from them. Except for when there's lightning nearby.
Never been in a direct tornado, but have had to take shelter many times.

I live in a place that ended up with a Cat. 3 hurricane this year... also, the power lines were not that resistant as the city I live (and all the nearby areas) were without power for over a week. :D

    Yes, I’m dead serious.

Wait a minute... there are billboards that aren't displaying Bible verses? Not where I live.

Oh trust me, the other 40% have stern warnings that you’re going to heckfire unless you heed such and such verse 😄

    what if they're right ?

My city, burb, has a lot of first and second generation immigrants. I love the multiculturalism, learning about the different traditions, the food, and especially language.

If I could go to school indefinitely, I'd study language.

Can someone explain to me at what point snow storm, or any storm necessities became milk and bread? 🤦🏻‍♀️

📢 PSA...For reasons unknown southern power lines aren't built for accumulation. They are Cat 3 hurricane resistant, but a .10" of ice or snow and they're down. Please expect the milk you purchased in a panic to spoil. That is all. 📢

So we also enjoy good ole hurricane tropical storm days too. Power was out for us 3 days recently...got coolers and ice to try and preserve necessities like ketchup and beer.
