Michele - I hope you get to see the launch before you leave. Have you seen many?

Rebecca - I bet you’ll notice a difference quickly without the sugar from coffee. Here in Canada a coffee with 2 cream, 2 sugar is called a double double. I used to drink 4 large ones a day and gradually over a few months I got it down to 1 a day. Then I started working on the sugar, I dropped 1/2 a teaspoon at a time until it was none. I have to be honest though and say once in a while if someone “makes a mistake” and orders me a DD I’ll savour every last drop. My girls are really good at “forgetting” as they know I like the treat once in a while.

Barbara - I would agree with you, even though the majority at the home are completely vaccinated for over 3 weeks and we still have to follow all precautions as, according to our Health Dept, it’s not 100% effective and they don’t know for sure if it will work on the variants.

My Granddaughter is 5. It was her birthday in January that we made the bunk beds for. Making the bedding sets for the beds is what messed up my back that I’m still working through.

Kelly - I never would have said that Michaela looked like me, I just told Rodger that and he said I never did until that picture. Take a look. I see it around the mouth.
I too took note of the website noted on Machka’s calendar.
I hope the next 10 days go fast for you. Thanks for the Gmen update. I don’t know how you come up with this stuff.

Barbie - those are excellent habits to have, you should be proud of yourself for the hard work it took to get there.

Okie - I hope you get your water going sooner rather than later.

Ginny - it is amazing and I think some have been sped up since last March. She actually got a tablet last April because my daughter was at her wits end trying to figure out how to keep them fighting over 1 in the house. I don’t think either would have one of their own yet if it wasn’t for Covid.
I wouldn’t like getting reports early either.

Vicki - how disappointing for the brownie debacle, how nice you got to see your grandson though. I hope your niece takes one of you up on your offers.

Katla - so happy that you are getting your vaccination tomorrow.

It was -8 when I went to work this morning and +7 on the way home. You could smell a difference in the air.
The Voice started tonight and I’m so excited. The musical shows have gotten me through this past year and I’ve been missing them. American Idol started last week. By the time the winner is announced Spring should be here and even if we can’t gather inside we’ll be able to gather outside!

Ooh congrats Katla, you are on your way to being COVID armored! We haven't seen anything up here from either our base or out in town. We have put our names in and nothing. Probably won't be until summer until we get vaccinated.

It was beautiful here today. I sat out on the gazebo for about 20 minutes this afternoon and was joined by Tootsie the barn cat. It was lovely. Haven't been able to do that comfortably for a while. I did really well on food today. I also decided to join the virtual choir being organized by the worldwide UMC for Easter. They are hoping to have more than 100 voices. I got the words and the accompaniment downloaded. I think it will be awesome.

KJ - Sounds like your Gmen are doing well on their travels. Glad you will soon get to see those cute grandsons.

Katla - glad the vaccinations are going well.

Everyone take care Sue in WA

Barbie: Thank you for the good wishes for my jab tomorrow. DH had his today. We have had a quiet evening since we got home after his vaccination today. Tomorrow it will be my turn to be vaccinated. My appointment is at 10 am. After watching DH get his jab today, I am not worried about getting mine tomorrow morning. I am looking forward to it. My second dose will be at the end of March. :star:

I am looking forward to getting back to my former life. I haven’t visited Arrow at the stable since December & I haven’t seen my friend who owns the stable since then, either. I miss her. I hope to pay a visit to her and to Arrow a day or two after my jab. I haven’t had the opportunity to go to yoga, either. It feels like life as I loved it in the past may be possible again. I’m crossing my fingers, but not holding my breath.

First day of March off to a good start. A bit cold and windy here but the sun is shining. Work is moving along, one item at a time. Looking forward to gym this afternoon.

Waiting to hear from doctor regarding tests last week. Part of me hates the fact that they release results and you are left wondering what it means. Nothing to do except put one foot in front of the other and do the next right thing. Back to work!

I can understand your concern. Do you have a date for when the doctor call you? I wouldn't hesitate to contact them again if they are a bit late. When following up on my sister's health, it was sometimes necessary to call back medical professionals as they would get overloaded and sometimes forget to communicate certain bits.

I actually like to get the results before speaking to the doctor so i can google them if needed and prepare questions. Though it can be worrisome if there is a long delay between results and hearing from doctor.

Katla - You do know, don't you, that it takes at least two weeks, and preferably three, for enough antibodies to build up to provide any protection after the first dose. Peak protection is five days after your second jab. Until then you should take the same precautions as now with distancing etc.
We are now over four weeks from our first dose. Evidence shows we have around 75% protection from the virus and much more from serious illness. In the UK there is a 12 week gap before the second dose. The first dose has proved remarkably protective, but our government is very worried about variants. I'm sure we will have to have boosters for a long while. I'm extremely happy about the vaccines and the wonder of modern science.
    Enjoy your vaccine day! <3<3<3

    Hi ladies
Still catching up but just wondered, is anyone else getting friend requests from "females" with strange profile pictures? I've had two recently one bending over showing her skimpy knickers and one with her skirt flaring up showing off her bum cheeks (she was wearing a thong) is it me or is that odd?

    Take care ladies <3

Debbie: I’m happy you will be able to get your first shot on Thursday. Mine will be this morning. I am looking forward to it. DH needed to sleep after his shot yesterday. I wonder whether I will feel the same way. I will find out in a few hours. :star:

Heather: I know that it will take a few weeks after the vaccination for the antibodies build up. I expect to be wearing a mask for a few weeks to come. The second vaccination has been scheduled for March 30. I suspect I’ll need my mask for some time after that. :flowerforyou:

Viv: DH had a long nap after we came home from his vaccination, and then went to bed soon after dinner. I’m sorry that you had a bad headache after yours. I’ll find out how it goes later today. :ohwell:

Our 51st Wedding Anniversary will be later this month. Last year’s fires and devastation made it impossible to celebrate our 50th anniversary then. We had hoped to fly our kids out here, visit the place we were married, and enjoy some time on the Oregon Coast. It is not looking likely that we will be able to celebrate as a family this year, either. This time it is due to the pandemic.

Wrapped up a major project at work today ... one which started in about mid-December.

At last, I finally feel like my 'off work' time is my own.

Didn't do much this evening. Even lay on the sofa watching TV for a bit. And now, I'm going to bed early.
