Sept. ‘18. 187.
R149 Goals-168 limit alcohol, lots of water.
5/3-172–We’ve had lots of really hot wind here. I need to get on a new plan for dealing with the weather-riding horse and getting exercise. Made keto pizza, using ground pork rinds and it was good.
5/4-169-I was up yesterday from the weekend. Less wind today, walk A.M., horse, walk and work around the house.3 -

Main goal(s) - 1. Count calories even when with partner/at social events, even if it’s not perfect an estimate is better than nothing! 2. Don’t allow a little slip up or not being able to track properly to derail me 3. Anything can be worked into your daily calorie goal

My challenge this time is to lose 2 lbs and also to write a sentence each day on how the previous day has gone. I am a 52 year old woman with primary progressive multiple sclerosis which means my mobility is poor and my weight loss slooooooooooooow. But I keep going!
Start weight (31 August 2020): 349.2 lbs
Start weight for 149 challenge: 308.9 lbs
Aim for 11 May 2021 (end of 149 challenge): 306.9 lbs
5/2: 307.1 lbs - bit of a surprise to have lotst this weight, but I'll take it! It's a good start to this challenge for sure.
5/3: 308.1 lbs - not bad, Monday morning and I had quite an indulgent Sunday. Determined to lose a good chunk of weigh on this challenge.
5/4: 310.4lbs - that's a bit steep! I don't think it's real weight gain, but we shall see. Have been tracking and eating well, so here goes. Trying also to do squats and weights to keep moving.

Long Term Goal 135
Short Term Goal 139 by mid May 2021
Method = calorie counting, avoid sugar.
I round off my weight to the higher pound (I don't chart half pounds, etc.)
My short term goal of 139 by mid May is likely too aggressive, so if I can't accomplish it, I won't be worked up about it. I am being careful to not overly short my calories.
Round 148 = 2 lb (it was my first round)
Round 149
Day/Weight/Comment
5/2 145. I am starting off this round with a newly earned drop down to 145 (yesterday I was still in the 146 range.) I hope those wheat thins that I ate two day ago don't hit my scale tomorrow, I hope they will be of no big consequence to my weight.
5/3 145
5/4 146. Well that's going in the wrong direction! I'll reevaluate tomorrow. I know that yesterday's eating of about 300 more calories than usual does not account for a pound.

JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS ~ Round 149 (round 81 for me ) I prove time after time that I need this to help me keep on track! Thank you @QuiltingJaine for setting up the new challenge.
Female age 63 5' 4” - Challenge again for this round; need to continue to get back to maintenance weight– get back to and stay at or >130. A healthy life style has to be a permanent way of life.
Keep calm – we're all in this together! Wash hands, be kind, continue to follow all latest Government guidelines in roadmap to normality for C-19 virus. Be positive for the vaccine – I've had my first, spread positivity and encouragement for it to others.
Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, It's took me 75 rounds to achieve my under 130 target; back to maintenance again!! A healthy life style has to be a permanent way of life.

5/2 132.4 - 12.33 miles walked yesterday in the glorious Derbyshire dales, calories under.
5/3 133 - picked up 3 year old DGS for the day, Managed to get out for a walk after we took him home, 5.97 miles in total. Calories 200 over.
5/4 134.2 – no walking yesterday as travelling back from Derbyshire Dales and heavy rain when we got home hence calories over (I have a cold & want to keep feeding it!!). Happy Star Wars day for all fans (May the 4th be with you) !!!
5/5 136.4 – uhgh!! still feeding that cold and feeding frenzy/comfort eating whilst 15 month old DGS seriously ill, back in transplant hospital with pneumonia & serious abdominal virus too, so worried about him & DD, she is exhausted. Must stop this ridiculous shoveling of wrong foods into my face; it will not help, I need to be strong (& healthy) to support them both even if it can only be at the end of the 'phone due to the pandemic & by taking his 3 year old elder brother out on his non nursery days. Also funeral of 94 year old aunt today. 8.4 miles walked yesterday.

Challenging weeks ahead for food and drink as everyone gets back into the gathering mode and all my retirement activities kick back into high gear. Alumnae group which has monthly meeting as well as monthly bookclub, sisters who sip, dining out opportunities! I chair the book club. Then another alumnae group of ladies ... that also meet monthly where wine is usually involved. And I can't forget neighborhood bunco and another book club! Thank goodness for Lady Clay Shooters ... we don't drink or eat when shooting rounds of sporting clays.
Then top that off with bridal showers, friend's 60th birthday party, weddings, and 1 year anniversary celebrations for weddings that occurred last year during COVID19 lockdown. As well as DH & I are planning a whirlwind trip to New Orleans, Natchez and Memphis in early June!8 -
@Lilylady3k I love it that you fish and shoot. I shoot sporting clays about once a year and love it.3

05/05 - 147.5 - Starting to show a little progress. Feeling a tad bloated today so didn't expect a drop at all. 90 oz water, fasted 16hours. Got a walk in with the pup last night. Nothing major to report. Need to do some gardening today and head to the grocery store to stock up with more healthy lunch options.

Previous Day's Comments05/02
05/03 - I fasted 15 hours yesterday, which exceeded weekend goal. Today should be easy to hit 17hours. Drank over 90 oz (estimating about 100-105oz). Didn't do kickboxing workout last week at all so I'm making myself do it after this morning meeting whether I like it or not. I know I'll thank myself after. I'm weathering this storm. Need to get fasting back on track and regular. Need to focus on eating better. Weekends are always rough but I can control lunch this week and that should make an impact if I behave and stay mindful of goals.
05/04 - My first thought was along the lines of "why do I even bother?!" as the scale didn't budge despite my efforts yesterday. Then I reminded myself that the scale doesn't always reflect what's really going on and I'm not worried so much about my weight as I am my health. Health first, weight is just a side effect of health. Fasted 18 hours, drank 100oz water and did not only my kickboxing workout, but a walk/run with the pup after! Food wasn't ideal for lunch but dinner was good! Been sleeping better since I've been using my herbal supplements (not melatonin!). Half a dose and I'm knocked out and feeling much more rested within an hour of waking up (disclaimer, I'm ALWAYS groggy/cranky and want to go back to bed when my alarm first goes off. But instead of being so for 2-3 hours, within an hour I'm pretty well awake and ready to go) May the Fourth be with you!

@_JeffreyD_ - Two very fun sports!
I've not been to a sporting clays event in about a year plus ... but heading out again starting next week as the ladies start getting together for our summer league.
The fishing has been terrible in the Lower Laguna Madre since the freeze in February killed off much of the sealife ... speckled trout, redfish and turtles were hit really hard. In fact they have changed the limits for speckled trout for the next 4 or more months. No longer a bag limit of 5 per person ... now it is 3 per person. And instead of minimum 15 inches there is a slot of 17-23 inches. Much more challenging but also there are fewer bites

@musicsax Oh no!!! Praying for your DGS and DD!!! That's so frightening. We had a scare similar recently, but it wasn't nearly as bad. I can't imagine what you're going through.
@starrjulia8 Please take care and rest up!4 -
@Lilylady3k Can I come hang out with you?! It all sounds so fun! Though I'd be very challenged to stay on track with that schedule, too.3

I like to track averages due to my wild fluctuations. For the same reason, I like to weigh daily so I can see the lows from time to time. It gives me hope.
Round 149
Month/Day: Exercise / Comment
05/02: 211.2
05/03: 210.4
This may be the first time in a long time where my Monday morning reading is lower than my Friday morning reading. I did hold all of my calories in check, and did some exercise also.
In related news, I joined the local gym this weekend despite the Covid-inspired weak group exercise schedule. Wanting to do more weight training anyway. I need to build back some lost muscle strength and mass. And I am looking forward to the Calorie burning benefits.
Happy Monday!
05/04: 210.4
One of my rare repeat scale readings.
Gym paid off yesterday. It was raining so I stopped on the way home from work and did some walking on a treadmill. Much higher speed and incline than my walks around the block(s). Actually, got my heart rate elevated a bit.
05/05: 209.2
Yes I am trying a little harder right before a get-away next week, which will be full of temptation. It will also be full of physical activity, so that’s good.

@Lilylady3k
That's why they call it "going fishing" instead of "going catching." HA! I wish I had a good reason for not catching sometimes, but truthfully I just love being out on the boat getting the line wet and it almost doesn't matter if I come up empty handed. ( I said "almost.")5 -

Less wind today, walk A.M., horse, walk and work around the house.
5/3-168-Walked 2 miles, got 1/4 of my seedlings transplanted. I need to get them all transplanted into 4” pots and I’ll put them in a small plastic pool and water them from the bottom up. That is my best bet to keep them alive while I will be gone next week taking care of my dad.8
