It's a rainy day in Georgia and we need it!

Lots of rain here to help all the seeds I planted.
I got a sad phone call from one of my line dance students to tell me that she had talked to another student and found out that she won't be coming back to class because she is developing dementia. So many students in the class are in their 80's and 90's that I was afraid there would be news like that.

Yoga this morning & a visit to the stationary bike. Yesterday I washed guest room sheets and made the bed for our daughter’s visit. I’m excited to see her. She has been upset about her weight. I hope to show her MFP if she is interested but won’t push it. She will be 42 in July.3

Lisa: ~ 😧 Ongoing health problems 👩🌾 Glad that all? your produce sold at the farmer's market.
Penny: 😍 WOW! Half Marathon!
Julie: ~ You seem to have got your Mojo back. It's good to hear you feeling so positive.
Ginny: ~I understand that feeling of peace when you make the decision to retire.
Barbara ~ Our youngest daughter is part owner of the boat. She hasn't really had the boat out since lockdown last March as the current restrictions would not allow the Marina to open. We have been overhauling it since the Marina reopened. So now she really needs a bit of practice and to get her confidence back before she goes out on her own.

Your feelings are normal after your intense few years caring for him. I love the idea of the quilt from his tshirts. Much love dear girl. Lean on us whenever you feel the need.

Hey ladies, hugs to those that wish them,
Yesterday, I made myself some fettuccine over fresh spinach, tomatoes and cucumbers. In the fettuccine was three large scallops cut up, a tbsp of butter, a tsp of olive bruschetta, two mushrooms cut up, and a bit of rue. It was heavenly, and I was quite proud of myself. The scallops were tender, and the fettuccine had wilted the spinach perfectly.
Today is mealess Monday. So I fast until tomorrow at noon. That will give me a good solid 40 hours, and lots of autophagy goodness. Today is lots of water, reading, and though I am fixing either sandwiches, or hamburger helper with corn on cob, I know its not for me. I can play that blasted part as glorious chef, yes I can!
Katla, I am excited for you and your upcoming family visits!
Heather, your lovely photo of your family at the pizza place! Gave me warm fuzzies.💖.
Rori, thinking of you with healing thoughts. Your swimming and exercising is so cathartic for your emotional, and physical self. Just know we're here for you. If you need to talk, we will give our phone numbers to you.
Well its to the gym for me.
Welcome to the new gals!

Happy Monday Ladies,
Rori -New to this thread since June 1st and your story has truly touched me. Sending you my condolences and lots of hugs.
Today after work I plan on doing a grocery run, then back at the garden for more weeding, (going slow in this 90 degree heat). 7 days of good choices, 3lbs down and starting to feel in control again.
Have a wonderul day everyone,

Allie we are in a heat warning too. I am watering our lawn every other day. Some of my plants need it twice a day. We have sandy soil. Son's clay so the lawn is doing better over there. I also try to do cleaning and other things on list in the morning and just reating in afternoon.
Getting last blind put into son's home today. It had to be reordered. It came too short. Their fault for not following measurements. Time to get ready to go!3 -
Good morning everybody, this is my first day to use the app, any helpful suggestions are very appreciated! Thank you!6

We are expecting our Illinois family members to arrive here on the 10th, late at night. We will have barbecue dinner for them at our house the next day. Then they will head for the coast. We plan to meet them at the coast for some beach time with our grandchildren. I hope all goes well. This is a rare treat.5

Katla - i am delighted for you having time with the family. I know you are really excited. I would be too.
My day trip to Portsmouth was a bit of a mess but it was good to see my friend IRL. The train was delayed, we ended up at the wrong stations, we had to get taxis. Then , because of covid, the walk along the seafront was rerouted and we ended up with about a dozen dead ends. Grrrr. We had to clamber over a restaurant barrier to get out. Another taxi!
The food was fine, but the ambiance was not great. Loud music, so we had to sit outside. I made my excuses after eating and caught an earlier train.
Millions of school kids got on, but I had taken the precaution of downloading two films and a book, so I was well occupied with the sound turned up. Also played some wonderful church choral music which drowned everything out.
Had a nice dinner with DH.
There's no place like home.

Welcome to the new ladies!
I am Annie, retired, divorced, and living with my parents and my little dog Teddy. I have been very sedentary and I'm paying the price. I do a little walking but I still get aches and pains in my legs. I also do a dumbbell workout 3x a week. That's pretty good for upper body.
I try to stay under 1100 calories a day. Sundays are hard for me because my mom likes a big Sunday dinner. At least with MFP and calorie counting, I know what it costs me. My only tip is to stay high on the fiber. If psillium fiber doesn't work, try acacia fiber as an add-in.
I joined a Fat2fit group, which has teams competing over weight loss. I'm at 167 with a ways to go.
It's 97 degrees out, so off I go to do some walking in the basement. Good luck to all of you,

DDIL sent pics of their holiday on the Isle of Wight.
Here are a few. Thank you weather!!!!!
I think, as Max's postcard said, they did a lot of rock pooling.

Heather--What a sweet card from Max. He is growing up. Beautiful family picture and sounds like a great visit.
Allie--It will come with time. Your body has been thur a lot in a short time and needs to rest. It will get better.
Katla--I am so excited for you and the upcoming visit with your daughter and family.
Rori--Hugs and Prayers
Well had a nice weekend. Saturday we rode with some friends to a motorcycle show and by the time we got home had rode almost 400 miles. It was sunny and I am red, but enjoyed being out and good thing I can't eat and ride at the same time. Yesterday after church had my DGD's baby shower. She has 3 boys and now having a girl. She is at the hospital today and just waiting for news. I am very excited for her. So am better mood wise and glad I didn't like myself on Thursday. DH sent me flowers at work to cheer me up. Still not sure why I was off, just was.
It's in the 90's today and for all week. Forcast for Thursday is 97. What happened to Spring??

Well today I ventured into the weight room and did 8 out of the 13 machines. It felt good. Tomorrow I shall do it again. I did my 30 minutes on the treadmill, averaging 3.5 for 10 minutes (twice) and in between those were 2.5's for 10 minutes. I also used the incline to 2.0 for the second 3.5. Afterwards I checked my blood pressure and it was 123/80. I will take it!

✔️Day 1: Sunday: June 6th. NO BINGE
No cravings yesterday or last night. Let’s see how many days I can go. I’d like to go the rest of this month without a binge episode.

One thing I love about this thread is that we challenge ourselves, we don't try to compete with others who are younger or more fit or have more time. This has been an emotionally safe place for me.
